Regarding golf story: My friend who is a widow and I, divorced, travel a lot all over the globe. We both have been retired for quite a few years. When her husband passed, she discovered he had left a fortune. I however was living on my retirement, etc. and had very little to spend on our trips. She and I have been friends for many, many years and she insists on paying for the flights, cruises, tours, etc. I told her I felt guilty about her paying so much (I do pay for my own meals, drinks, 1/2 of the hotel rooms, etc. Her reply was that she wants to spend as much having fun as possible before we both get too feeble to enjoy life. And of course, she had no idea how much her husband had invested and squirreled away. We wonder if he's rolling over in his grave watching his dollars disappearing.
I hope the HOA paid dearly for the loss of use or access to OP’s property.

The kid was lucky he was put on top of a wall that had water below. Many animal enclosures just have concrete by the wall. A kid falling in to that sort of enclosure could get seriously hurt or even killed depending on how they land on the concrete.
And it also seems like those people won’t ever bother him again because if they do, they will go straight to jail because there’s literally nothing they can do about it since they’re no longer home whatever was called. At least it was penguins, harmless, uninterested in humans, talon-less birds. More than one child has gone over the zoo wall into gorillas, tigers and hippos. There should be at least as much of classes and testing to have children as there is to pass algebra (which I passed, but truth be told I have never needed).
Absolutely bonkers how an interim pastor can make such crazy overall changes and even more crazy statements on people he doesn't even know yet. Still baffles me the things going on at churches with supposed 'people of God'... They seem to sin even more than your average atheist, as in their mind they can just ask forgiveness afterwards. We have a neighbor like that, who absolutely terrorizes and intends to destroy people, he's decided for whatever reason he doesn't like. Usually people that have stood up or said no to him. To everyone else he plays the outstanding citizen, going to church every sunday and joining (the boards of) all sorts of social/political groups to seem of importance and also to have extra leverage here and there to use against people he doesn't like. It's abhorrent. I could write a book on all the things he's done... his antics have cost the community tens of thousands allready, but no one really knows or cares.. apparently not aware that it's their tax money paying for shitty people like this.. allthough very few are as narcissistic and cunning as he is, but there are definitely more people among our communities that are like this. The worst thing is that they're never held responsible, there's never any consequences to their actions. Just like that pastor, no one was apparently able to help OP out and put that interim in his place. Even of he was of the opinion OP wasnt pastor material, its not up to him to decide that and definitely shouldn't be allowed to actively work against OP's education.
Second story there was illegal activities on both side at least in the US destruction of property illegal use of a mailbox. Even if OP had been a HOA I'd still question destruction of the bridge doing it in the middle of night without any notification is questionable to say the least
