☑️ I hope when Comedian "Kat Williams" , gets his film/ production studio up and running in Alabama, he should consider producing top-notch movies like this one as well. I really enjoyed it from start to finish. Also I'm proud to say that Blaxploitation films of the 1970's is definitely my Genre TOO😊
This and Malcolm X by Spike Lee should be required viewing for ALL Black males while in their teens. I saw this when I was a kid. I only saw it once but I never forgot it. I always heard about this movie and the book . It’s amazing in 2025 , there are still yte men who think this way . That we are not intellig😢ent enough , we are not qualified for roles . Saying we are animals , cops killing black people without repercussions. 51 years later , still the same sentiment and attitudes towards people of color . Wow . Love this movie and thank you for the upload .
Sadly young people today are not interested in films like this because there's no twerking grinding the modern day nonsense it's all they understand but this is a great movie thanks for uploading this

The film was directed by *Ivan Dixon* (April 6, 1931 - March 16, 2008, aged 76). Dixon is probably best known to American audiences for his portrayal of Staff Sergeant James Kinchloe in the television series *Hogan's Heroes* (1965 - 1970). Other credits include appearances in two episodes of *The Twilight Zone* ; as the boxer Bolie Jackson in "The Big Tall Wish" (S1/E27 - 1960), and the Reverend Anderson in "I Am the Night - Color Me Black" (S5/E26 - 1964). He had a supporting role as Joseph Asagai, the Nigerian student, opposite *Diana Sands's* character of Beneatha Younger in the outstanding *A Raisin in the Sun* (1961 - Dir.: Daniel Petrie).
What would a remake do besides water down the story? They remake stuff to reprogram newer generations. This got no play in the theaters then it won't get any now unless it's watered down and then it will be used to confuse people with this one. Just like The Black Panthers.

Read the book!!! The movie was poor. The book is a very visceral experience and, for me, life changing when I read it in college in the early 80's (thanks mom, for sharing your copy with me). You will know the characters and may see some of yourself in them. You won't understand until you read the book.

Read the book. The experience is VERY different. This film does not do the book justice.
This movie revealed so much truth that it was banned when it was first released...
i was surprised the film was even made, the book is the bomb just don't loan it out, you'll never get it back.
I still got it on DVD
