- We picked this 1964 Chevy C10 up at a North Dakota farm auction in October! While it did start and run at the auction it was definitely not road worthy! I'm surprised that you are not holding on to this one. That's about as nice as an original truck will ever get. I knew it would clean up nice. There is a lot there to work with.

Personally I prefer pickups at stock height but you dropped this one down to the perfect looking height. I also prefer long bed trucks, but I am probably in the minority there lol. It came out great, quite the transformation from start to finish!

I prefer stock, but lowering is a heck of a lot better than a lift.
Now that was a real winner of an episode! Really like the look. The price in the description is a bargain compared to what that rig would go for here (Nashville). I really enjoy these episodes with refurb of an existing, running ride. Hope you have a great holiday as well!

That's an awesome truck, you did a fabulous job on it. I'm trying to restore my sons 79 GMC pick up for him as a "gift". The only problem is, I'm not a mechanic. But, not being something has never stopped me from trying new things before. God bless you!!!

I remember reading that the epa stopped copper use because the dust was a pollutant that effected fish. I think it was salmon. This truck deserves some TLC.. give duff a big kiss on the nose.
Great save, buffing them out like that can be a real pain in the butt but it's so worth it when they look that good after. As always enjoyed watching and merry holidays to you and Duff!

I like it. Farm truck turned cruiser. It ain't gonna be fast, but it'll get ya there every time. Sometimes you just use what's there and enjoy the thing rather than letting it snowball into a full rebuild that may never get done

Sweet ride. My first was a 67 gmc with 305 v6 Dana 60 4:56. More of a tractor than a truck!

Hi Mortske, don't let them haters get on you. You gotta a lotta friends out here in the You Tube world. I thought it was interesting the brake box proclaimed the shoes "asbestos free". Maybe Chinese brakes always had asbestos and now it's like something new. I remember back in the 70's we used to just "hold your breath" when you're taking those shoes off or air blowing the dust around. Oh, the good ole days when safety was #3.

Waaaay back in the Stoned age,a friend of mine put a 64 Cadillac front seat in a 66 Chevrolet 1/2 ton 2 wheel drive was comfortable and since he worked in Junk Yard it was free which was really good

FYI easiest way to tell the difference between the small sixes and the 292 is the side covers are very obviously taller on the 292. Now the casting numbers are the only real way to tell on the outside if you have a 194/230/250 but the tall side covers give away the 292.

Do you think you'll be making any videos of your 71? I'd love to see you show us everything on that truck. 67-72 are the best looking pickup trucks ever built in my opinion. Up until I was about 5, which would have been in 1985, my dad drove a rust colored 69 C-10 lwb, inline 6 with 3 speed on the column. I loved that truck.

Late model 6 lug alloys bolt on the early c10 6 lugs and are usually 10 different types in the local junkyard or marketplace and takeoffs usually have new tires so it's worth a couple hundred bucks and they're still factory Chevy or GMC logos for any Ole gm truck that has limited availability for affordable aftermarket parts love channel happy holidays to all 🤶 🎅

On this model only one visor was required and only one mirror. If you have a drivers side mirror and a rear view that was a bonus.
I have an original 65 C10 with a 283 and 87000 miles. It been a ton of fun over the years. I have a drivers side mirror and visor, that's it. No rear view, passenger mirror or visor. The wood in the bed is the next project. Been putting it off until retirement this year.
