Demystifying the Wogglebug Part 1: The Clock Section

- This first video on the Make Noise / Richter Wogglebug covers the clock section. This will probably be the shortest and easiest to digest video - after this, the interactions between controls get a bit hairy.
One additional note: the Burst output can be affected by both the master clock and the clock input. It's a complicated mess down there!
ready for the next part of this series!
I love your channel! Would love to hear more from you. You've got a great approach to teaching.
I’ve just got one of these blighters and the precise functions of the clock inputs was baffling me. This has completely clarified that, cheers 👍
Revisiting the series now....thanks for doing this!
Thanks for this video I look forward to the others. I've been using this module for many years and learned a few things I didn't realize today!
Heck yea!! Amped for the rest of the vids. Thanks for doing this :)
Very good tutorial.. thank you.. I look forward for next episodes.. Thank you Hermbot..
Very good channel. Thank you for sharing this knowledge!
Subbed! Such a great lesson on how this confusing module works. Just got a new MN Shared System and learning the ropes. Love using Wogglebug with Tempi such a great combo and with Maths.
Nice ! Waiting for the next parts.
nice! it's really a mess down there :)
awaiting the next episodes
holy shit. your videos just opened my mind so much! thank you!
Great tutorial! So well done, thx!!!
Killer vid! Thanks for the help!
Very good tutorial. 👍
4:27 great john wilson moment
awesome! looking forward to the next one, my bug is still a bit of an enigma
thanks for making the videos !
The panel design of this was a bit of a nightmare. I’ve NEVER inherently grasped that weird clock behaviour until now. MN have gotten so much better at panels... Look at something modern like QPAS, it’s bloody perfect. I love the Wogglebug though. My secret weapon is modulating filters with its audio rate outputs... Crunchy and gnarly.
They've definitely sharpened their craft, although I wouldn't call the Wogglebug's panel poorly designed either. Make Noise have a tendency to make their modules, especially the Wogglebug, intentionally obtuse. Like the aforementioned QPAS. It's a masterpiece of a module and very well laid out but there are still the !!¡¡ inputs which have no official description. MN likes to confuse people, that's part of the magic!
@@TayTayMakesBeats true and once you understand their approach with practice it starts to make sense
A+
Speach at 2.41 >> my Wogglebug it does respond to negative input !!. and actually this is exactly the way to achive very slow rates at main clock out( slower then 1clock/sec _ see previous message) ... great tutorial.. i love it .. but it seem your module and mine behave very differently ( mk2. 2 ?? )...
Speach at 0.35sec...>>> more then 1min between clocks ???? My wogglebug at slowest output 1 clock each 1 second... does that mean that there is such a huge part to part variation ???
Pressing the disturb button and having the influence plugged in, will 'disable' stopping the burst out... It's pretty weird.
So, there really is no direct CV input for controlling the Burst rate it appears...only an external clock which more or less influences the master clock a bit?
got any more of them woggle vids?
ikr? I was pretty stoked until I realized there was no part two :-o
I will probably be recording the next one this weekend... I've actually recorded it twice already but technical difficulties meant that I lost the first two takes.
@@Hermbot I feel you. Losing a take due to technical difficulties can be very demotivating. But personally I am very interested in what you have to say.
great
