It looks good, but to be honest in the time it took you to do this you could have used a good headlight refinishing kit (such as the 3M one) and sanded and polished the old ones. I know because I have this same car, but an E320 wagon and went from cloudy as bad as yours, to nearly new. All for about 12$ in the cost of the kit ;)

hi thanks for the video, I have a 96 e class and want to do the same, thanks for showing me the connectors and how to remove the head light unit, its much easier with a pre facelift w210, we dont have to remove the front bumer as with a facelift w210. So question, does the car complains about light issues? I have these warning under me speedometer when a light bulb is gone.

Great video. I wonder how the lights are performing 6 months later. I replaced a few tail lamp bulbs with LEDs and they burned some fuses. Thanks for any feedback.
I am an original W210 98 E320, just turned 200k.
The head lights have been great so far. I had to adjust the beams , but that's about it. I am planning to convert the bulbs to LED soon
I would keep the original headlight but update the bulbs with high quality LED since the lenses become really bad in a few years even for the original one. The headlight set can be restored with a $10 set. Do not get me wrong, this set looks good and fancy but in time it deteriorates.
Anyone to help with a solution to a gearbox for the W210 which keeps going into limp mode.

For now I'm using the halogen ones that came with the headlights (yeah they came with bulbs 💡) , but soon I'll be putting some LED bulbs.

Hi i was thinking about buying these for my 98 E300TD Wagon but a lot of people in the forums say that these headlights have bad light output (worse than original), what's your opinion on this? Have you tested them during the night?
Keep doing them videos, they are great!
The light output is just fine. Once installed you do have to adjust the height of the projector beams. I can see clearly at night with no problems.
If you are only doing it for the light output you are better off replacing or polishing the stock lights back to original condition, with the lenses in good condition they are better than these cheap ebay knock offs.
Stock halogen lights are better even than the optional xenons which drew less power rather than putting out more light, if you think your lights are not as bright as they should be check the wiring.
20+ year old wiring is not great at getting power from the battery to the bulbs, easy enough to check by running brand new test wires direct from the battery to the bulb and seeing if it's brighter.

Yes you can manually level the beams

What does nor work? Are you sure you ordered the correct lights? They are different for pre and facelift models
@@CarGhost I’m pretty sure they are the correct model. I simply needed to replace the stock lights since the wiring was destroyed. Everything works except the projector lights.

It will be pretty bright in the stock headlights

Yeah, they have been working great ever since I installed them. I am in the process of swapping LED bulbs in now.
I would have tested the lights to make sure they worked first before tightening it.

@@CarGhost ah man. I still search for w211 how tos on your page. I hate the fact the headlamps oxidize the way they do. Lights look so dim on mine
Clean them up and put ppf on them. It will help

I think they were like 229 for the set on ebay
