Well, even when it's unobtainable, every Pokemon has to have a shiny form. Besides, they might be distributed as events like how Xerneas and Yveltal were back in Gen 6.
Hey everyone, I realized after the video was created and uploaded that Necrozma is NOT an Ultra Beast. No need to let me know, as I am aware of my error, thanks! :D Also Zygarde is shiny locked, but because he is from generation 6, he wasn't included in this video.
Can you really blame him? I mean come on. In the sun and moon Japanese anime (episode 44) lusamine said that Solgaleo and Lunala were like ultra beasts because they came from other worlds. In the sun pokedex it also says that Necrozma is from another world so it the same classification as the other two legendaries. Now don't get me wrong They are legendaies mainly, but they are also ultra beasts in their own way.
So you said that the UBs were shiny locked because of cutscenes, but really. There are multiple UBs, you even catch multiples in game. They shouldn't be shiny locked.
They aren't even with the starter pokemon if you get a shiny the cutscence with still show them in their default look. I'd say it's more to tell who's hacking their game more than anything.
Dax Wolf Technically, Solgaleo, Lunala and Necrozma ARE Ultra Beasts. They come from the Ultra Space and they have the little Ultra Beast sound at the end of their cries.
Lunala's shiny version is more natural developed, making people more attracted to it. Solgaleo's un-natural neon like red isn't AS attractive as Lunala's blood-ish purple color, and it more naturally fits Lunala's underwings.
I just wish they didn't shiny lock Pokemon at all. I understand that they don't want them to potentially have a different color scheme when you battle them after seeing them in countless cutscenes, but still, who's gonna be lucky enough to find these shinies (On the first encounter) without trying to?
I know it doesn't sound likely but with a 1/4XXX chance for a shiny and the millions of copies sold there would be quite a few people who would find them without even trying.
the tapus look amazing when they're shiny! especially tapu koko and tapu fini! they make the best out of the extra black. shiny lunaala is really beautiful (sorry solgeleo, I may love lions but sun burns are my least favorite thing about the sun). speaking of striking well that black, pheromosa is so much awesomer with it, and it makes her look like lusamine a little (or is it just me) which fits well with the whole "insane over ultra beasts" thing, like being fused with one isn't enough. I actually like nehiligo's shiny, the gold fits well...
Just a bit of info. The main difference between Marshadow being shiny and not shiny is that various parts of it change colors as it's attacking. Normal being green, and shiny being purple.
technically, you can see better than that that marshadow is shiny, cause when it attacks, his "hair" part of hair is getting straight green (in normal) and purple in shiny, so we can see it easily that way, but it's hard if you just make him stand still
Gamefreak needs to stop with this! It's frustrating! Why can't they just pick a few to shiny lock for event purposes (like the tapus and Solgaleo/Lunala) and let us shiny hunt the rest in peace!?!? In the words of Mojo Jojo, "CUUUUUUUUUUURRRRRRRRRSSSSSSSEEEEEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" Rant over. I still love Sun and Moon tbh.
Marshadow's shiny is interesting in that to see the real difference in its normal and shiny form it needs to be attacking. when Marshadow attacks it changes color.
the shiny cosmog will more or less be distributed like the shiny gen 6 trio were, and I think the shiny UBs are pretty cool, aside from Buzzwole since green and orange are not the best together. And the Dark blue Necrozma is also very nice. The tapus and their lore probably would be unreleased, maybe in a future instalment, but not for gen 7.
Oh, you forgot the fact that shiny Marshadow has purple flames on its head tuft things in certain attack animations, compared to green flames in its original.
Don't forget, last year we had shiny yveltal and xerneas distributions so do not despair! I'm sure we'll see shiny legendary distributions in the future.
Good thing I watched this before trying to get a shiny Buzzwole. Doesn't make too much sense for any of them to be shiny locked besides Buzzwole and Pheromosa, since those are the only ones we see after they come out of the wormhole but before you battle them. You do see other Nihilego in the game, but those aren't the ones that came through.
Actually, though it is an impossibility to get a shiny magearna, Tapu koko or marshadow seeing as it technically is not canon, there are actually ways to get shiny necrozma, shiny ultra beasts, shiny Tapu lele, bulu, fini, cosmog evo line, etc. You can get a cosmog post game, and it can be shiny. I know because I have a legit shiny Cosmog named Nebby and that kind of debunks this. It is severely tedious and agonizing to do, but you can get shiny ultra beasts, tapus (minus koko), and a shiny solgaleo/lunala. Same for Necrozma, but it did not work for me with Magearna.
Unfortunately I spent most of my time creating content for the community, which detracted from my play time; so I did not know about Necrozma until after this video was uploaded. As it's not a huge error (since Necrozma is UB-like) I added a pinned comment and edit to the description, but don't worry about 60% of the comments have told me about my error. :)
PHILOSOPHICAL QUESTION: If some legendary Pokemons are one of a kind, are their Shiny Forms really shiny? I mean, this isn't a "different-colored Pokemon" if you have no original color Pokemon to compare it to...
Good question! I often wondered this too, but came to realize that there's not always only one legendary in all of existence, at least in the anime. In the Hoopa movie Hoopa summons a whole bunch of legendaries including a shiny rayquaza, however regular green raquaza also exists within other movies; so I like to think that perhaps there are multiple legendaries scattered across regions that haven't been discovered yet. :) Also if the shiny form sparkles, it would would make it shiny; even if it couldn't be compared to a regular version of the legendary.
4Gamers The only reason "Shinies" were originally called that by fans is because of the sparkle animation, that only appeared in games in order to differ the non-shiny sprites from Shinies. But in fact, its just a different coloration, and the Pokemon do not actually "Sparkle". About the multiply Legendaries, its known that the anime and the games do not share the same canon, and some Legendary Pokemon actually do not have more than one of them existing within the same universe, like Arceus, for example, I wouldn't imagine there being 2 gods of the Pokemon world co-existing. Even tho it is an interesting thought now that I think about it...
Really good Video! Everything is in the Video and this in an awesome short Video Time. :) I hope you stay so ^^ Good luck with your Channel and happy new year :)
For those who think Necrozma's an Ultra Beast, it's not. 'Reminiscent of the Ultra Beasts, this life-form, apparently asleep underground, is thought to have come from another world in ancient times.' - Sun. 1) *Reminiscent*, as in similar or shares traits. Doesn't mean it's a UB. Just looks like one. 2) THOUGHT to have come from another world. *Thought*. Not only that but from ancient times. People had less technology in ancient times. 3) Beast Balls don't have any positive affects, only negative. 4) It has the legendary theme. The BoxArt legends are debatable but Necrozma ain't an Ultra Beast. (This has nothing to do with 4Gamers)
Lunala's shiny is pretty good. I definitely love the shiny Tapus. Anyone who says older shiny "puke green" forms are better than Gen VII shinies is smoking a nostalgia pipe. I've never liked older shinies, with very few exceptions. But the black colored Tapus are awesome. I'd love to have them. All of them.
I'd like you to know that a Powersaves is not "hacking", unlike the Beast Ball Porygon. Powersaves acts like an Action Replay from the earlier games as a mere cheat code device. I have compared them and checked differences.
It's "hacking" by the stupid internet use. Hacking is actually coding your way into things yourself but most idiots don't separate between those who hack and those who use their hacks. Most people using other cheating methods are doing exactly what owners of cheating devices are doing - using a hacker's tool to modify the game. No matter what you're using you are a cheater meaning, to the idiots who can't tell the difference between a hacker and a script kiddie, you're also "hackers". Actually literally to some extent in the case of Pokémon, because the companies who make the cheating devices get the ability to do so from the data miners doing the hacking. That's why despite having Sun and Moon a week early, the necessary code to crack it wasn't made public by the data miners until the game's release - they didn't want people making things like Powersaves to also have the necessary information head of the release.
I've never hacked, but seen others do it to know the difference. I prefer in-game glitches that are not actual hacks or Powersaves. And I only use Powersaves on evolution stones, since they limited them even more in Sun and Moon.
But, you need to remember events. I have shiny Tapu Koko from the EVENT. FYI, the event has no clear date of ending so if you see this comment, try to get it via internet!
You have a good point, why dose Nintendo make amazing shinies just to make them unavailable. but, I have a good reason why they do, if someone hacked a shiny pokemon that did not have one, it would probably turn into a weird gliched model. but that's just my opinion.
um you can get shiney tapu koko just go onto the main page and press receive gift, then select connect to the via internet, (you also have to be connected to the internet) and after that just wait and you will get shiney tapu koko
Idk why gamefreak does this just so they can give the legendaries away in an event. The effort you would need to go to to get a legendary shiny is so crazy that they might as well have left it in, as probably
Here are my opinions on each Legendary's shiny availability -Zygarde: should work like a normal Pokémon, or maybe cells could've had a chance of being shiny, and if enough of the cells you found were, it would make a shiny Zygarde -Ultra Beasts: shouldn't have been shiny locked in any way(I hear the argument that they appear in cut scenes a lot, but by that logic your starter should be shiny locked. Plus, there is only one Ultra Beast that appears in cutscenes that you only catch one of(that being Nihilego, which we still know there are multiple of)) The Tapu: I understand why these ones are shiny locked. They're meant to be special. However, I had an idea for a cool limited time event. During the event, a Tapu's shiny would appear as a roaming Legendary on its home island, but only if you had already caught it. When you encountered it, it would be some ridiculous level and its aura would flare to life, boosting all of its stats sharply. However, you wouldn't be able to catch it then. You would have to beat it a few times(5 maybe?), and every time it would have some custom message saying that the Tapu was weakening but was still out there, until after the final time it would it had retreated to the ruins. After that, you could return to that Tapu's ruins and it would reappear, although it would be at the normal level 60 and you could finally catch it. It would be a crazy challenge, and you would feel like you actually earned the shiny, instead of it just being given to you. Cosmog, Cosmoem, Solgaleo, and Lunala: I think Lillies Cosmog(and its evolutions) definitely should be shiny locked, but it would be cool if the alternate dimension's Cosmog could be shiny Necrozma*: I don't honestly know. Magearna and Marshadow: they're already just given away, hopefully they'll decide to do a shiny giveaway or unlock the original version of Magearna
The first games to introduce shiny locking was Black and White, in which Reshiram and Zekrom were shiny locked. However, Kyurem isn't. I think they were just referencing this part: 0:30
I met a hacker who had EVERY single shiny locked Pokémon. Tapus, 10% 50% 100% Zygarde, the UBS except for Kartana, (which I got for trading a Celesteela), and even had a Marshadow.
Actually it's not. It's hinted to be one. Imagine this... You family comes over for a visit. Your brother came the day before. Because he didn't come with the rest the next day is he not your family? Just because Necrozma came through much earlier doesn't mean it isn't one. It says it came through from another world, it just doesn't tell us what one, but since the Ultra Wormholes are a thing and have been for a long time in Alola, it's reasonable to assume that's what they're saying. Being a Legendary Pokémon and being an Ultra Beast are not exclusive things. Cosmog is said to be an Ultra Beast during the story as well which makes Cosmoem, Solgaleo, and Lunala by extension also Ultra Beasts regardless of also being the Legendary Pokémon. Not to mention in the code the other Ultra Beasts are classed as sub-legends - the same group all of the lesser trios as well as Type:Null, Silvally, and the Tapu quartet are in. You can tell this visibly by their dex entries. Normal Pokémon = blue background, sub-legends = green background, Legend/Mythical = gold background. Beast Balls also do not work on the Cosmog line, I would note, so them not working on Necrozma doesn't mean anything. Well, except what we basically learn through the story... That "fallers", beings who have passed through the Ultra Wormholes, lose the Ultra Energy surrounding them after passing through over time. That's where the Totem like boost comes from for the UBs when they come through and battle you during the post game. It's stronger right after passing through the portal than it will be later, powering them up. Looker not knowing about it doesn't mean anything. Their organization wasn't around for all time. All it had to do was come through earlier than they existed to not be known as one. Finally, there is also the fact that it's clearly the trio maker. Not only might it very well be an Ultra Beast for the other reasons, we know Cosmog's line is so why would we assume it's counterpart isn't?
Tessa Bain Huh, i never thought of it that way before. But in the scene where they say no ultrabeasts are left couldn't it still be completely plausible that they have a device to sense this aura around the ultrabeasts?
The only other possible way to get these shiny pokemon is to reset the game over and over until you end up with one. That could take days, months even a minute if your lucky enough.
Nope, these Pokemon are always locked whether you reset your game using a soft reset, or hard reset your game, meaning you start it over entirely. Either way, they're never gonna be shiny without a power-saves.
Das ist not how thy pronounce Cosmoem. Edit: Also, Marshadow has another change to its shiny. When Marshadow attacks, colours around its head appear, and are different with its shiny. If you saw it for yourself, you'd know what I'm talking about, it's difficult to explain.
Shiny locks are the reason why people buy powersaves.
Star Pit they're the reason I cry myself to sleep at night
PK Ben Nice.
Star Pit that is legit the reason I have one and I swearrrr to god if they don't have power saves for sun and moon I'll cut a bitch
That and also have said game to enable homebrew you can just PKHeX Gen your own shinies, stuff and more.
PsychoDon904 Can you get hidden abilities with it?
Why is there a shiny form if you can't get it??
Well, even when it's unobtainable, every Pokemon has to have a shiny form. Besides, they might be distributed as events like how Xerneas and Yveltal were back in Gen 6.
Possibly later, possibly never. Idk.
What Win Most likely just so that if someone hacks it in they have a shiny to load.
***** Probably that too.
probably for giveaways...
Solgaleo is sunburned
Morshu M bruh someone give that solgaleo a burn heal
Morshu M bruh
Lunala and Solgaleo got in an arguement so Lunala pushed Solgaleo into the sun. He got sunburnt, and that's how shiny Solgaleo's are made
That's what happens when Nebby doesn't go in the bag
LOL
Hey everyone, I realized after the video was created and uploaded that Necrozma is NOT an Ultra Beast. No need to let me know, as I am aware of my error, thanks! :D Also Zygarde is shiny locked, but because he is from generation 6, he wasn't included in this video.
Well, it's an UB-Like Pokemon... so yeah...
ChaosPxl fnafcrew it's an ultra beast native to our dimension, instead of ultra space. lol not really
okay :)
I was about to comment about that then I saw this lol
4Gamers necrozma aint a ultra beast
I really wish the legendarys weren't shiny locked
Me too, they look so amazing! I really wish that trend from generation 5 never started.
Yea
Btw it would have way more people playing the game.
Necrozma isn't an ultra beast, it doesn't have beast boost and the Sun Pokedex entry on it states "It is reminiscent of Ultra Beasts"
Master Slime he already said in the comments that he realized his mistake
Master Slime it's a legendary of the ultera beast world it comes in ancient times and it wanted us to catch it but we must prove to him
Master Slime It It idiot
Can you really blame him? I mean come on. In the sun and moon Japanese anime (episode 44) lusamine said that Solgaleo and Lunala were like ultra beasts because they came from other worlds. Shiny Tapu lele look like it loves coffee XD
XSoulbound __ THE STARTERS AREN'T SHINY LOCKED AND THEY HAVE IMPORTANT CUT-CENES!!!
NECROSMA ISN'T A ULTRA BEAST ITS A LEGENDARY
Dax Wolf Technically, Solgaleo, Lunala and Necrozma ARE Ultra Beasts. They come from the Ultra Space and they have the little Ultra Beast sound at the end of their cries.
Dude looker litteraly says its just a rare pokemon, and ultra balls don't work on em, they are legendaries
They also dont have Beast Boost
Ye that too
oh rly? Then how come it has a different theme, beast balls dont work on it, and it doesnt have beast boost?
buzzwole looks like a ben 10 version
Lol
Did you just call Necrozma an Ultra Beast?
Yep I misspoke please see the description, and pinned comment.
You actually probably can get these shinies in an event. They did this with the Gen 6 main Ledgendaries.
Zygarde
+Your Everyday Gamer zygarde may have a chance now doe for a 100% promotion
A hacker scammed me with a fake shiny Zygarde. please don't bring that up.
shiny zygarde makes my eyes bleed how can you like it
Lass Elie you don't know scammed. I traded a shiny gyarados for a regular gengar thinking it was shiny
necrozma is not a ultra beast
spino zilla He's aware. Look at his comment above
He is related to them to some extent, maye in a hipotetical Necrozma movie we can finally unveil the secret.
Lunala's shiny version is more natural developed, making people more attracted to it. Solgaleo's un-natural neon like red isn't AS attractive as Lunala's blood-ish purple color, and it more naturally fits Lunala's underwings.
Here's a Kalos Pokemon that you can't get as a shiny, it's also not a legendary.
Flabebe.
Obviously
kitten 907 You can get Flabebe as a shiny.
Do you mean AZ Floette?
Yes you can. It's just extremely subtle.
Superion how do you even get AZ's Floette. I doubt that I can even get it at this point.
Umbra Chaos Gamer You can't. It was never distributed.
I just wish they didn't shiny lock Pokemon at all.
I understand that they don't want them to potentially have a different color scheme when you battle them after seeing them in countless cutscenes, but still, who's gonna be lucky enough to find these shinies (On the first encounter) without trying to?

I got few of them in shny form
Justin Jarrett I agree
NECROZMA IS NO ULTRA BEAST
yes it is, when you encounter it, it has the ultra beast theme
RegularFan94 actually it has the legendary theme.
RegularFan94 if it was, it would have the beast boost ability
Technically It is an ultra beast just ike solgaleo and lunala.
lol that my friend is where you are SO WRONG
The 3 starters at the beginning have cutscenes but still have a chance to be shiny so it isn't an excuse for the Tapu's or ultra beast.
this maybe random but I wanted to wish everyone a happy new year!!!
and now the related thing. I love tapu leles shiny sooo much
these were all pretty much expected tbh
the tapus look amazing when they're shiny! especially tapu koko and tapu fini! they make the best out of the extra black. shiny lunaala is really beautiful (sorry solgeleo, I may love lions but sun burns are my least favorite thing about the sun). speaking of striking well that black, pheromosa is so much awesomer with it, and it makes her look like lusamine a little (or is it just me) which fits well with the whole "insane over ultra beasts" thing, like being fused with one isn't enough. Does it count as a shiny lock still if you can get it from an event? I have a shiny tapu koko from one.
another difference for marshadow is when it uses spectral theif or ss7ss its purple or green becomes a lot more noticeable.
Sin_ Yes, I really like shiny Marshadow for that reason.

Good news, UBs in usum aren't shiny locked, but the box legends still are
amazing video! also I subscribed
Thank you so much! :D and thanks for the sub, your support really helps out!
Marshadows shiny is only seeable in battle. Its attack animation makes it change color, and the shiny changes a different color.
there was recently an event that allowed you to get Tapu Koko shiny legitimately through an event
The difference in Marshadows shiny is apparently the coloration it gets from using moves
Tapu Koko got an event for it to be shiny
I do not use shiny locked Pokemon that are shiny online because I occasionally use power saves for zygarde!
tbf marshadow's fire when it attacks changes from green to purple with it's shiny form so it is a decent shiny just not out of battle
Thankfully the Ultra Beasts can be obtained shiny in USUM. I have now two shiny Blacephalons.
how to get necroma .go to the farthest hollow after finishing the ultra beast quest and run around until you find him
Shiny Pheromosa's got dem skintight pants.
I'm so glad that you can get the shiny ultra beasts in ultra sun and moon
Necrozma is the third legendary, not an Ultra Beasts. It only has the reminiscent of Ultra Beasts. Necrozma is the third legendary.

Please check the date this video was posted/ the description thanks!
Idk why gamefreak does this just so they can give the legendaries away in an event. The effort you would need to go to to get a legendary shiny is so crazy that they might as well have left it in, as probably
necrozma doesn't have a detailed makeover, they just turned him blue! all they need for the code was turn all black blue!
Thank god the UBs aren't shiny locked in Ultra Sun and Moon.
Magearna's original form is a Pokéball and its shiny is an Ultra ball
Normal marshadow when in fighting stance aura is green. Shiny marshadow when in fighting stance aura is purple
i think shiny pheromosa looks pretty neat.
The black legs really stand out.
heroman7X Yep!
Marshadows colors are only appearant when it uses attacks, and i say its got a cooler color scheme has a shiny than its original green palette : >
how to have these shiny in battlestep 1: own shiny dittostep 2:own any of the shiny lockstep 3:do a double battle and transform
I think the shiny Tapus would be great event Pokémon like X and Y's shiny Xerneas and Yveltal or Heartgold and Soulsilver's shiny dog trio
Lmao, I love how he says Po-key-mon
I hope that they release at least most of these as shinies through events.
Here are my opinions on each Legendary's shiny availability
-Zygarde: should work like a normal Pokémon, or maybe cells could've had a chance of being shiny, and if enough of the cells you found were, it would make a shiny Zygarde
-Ultra Beasts: shouldn't have been shiny locked in any way(I hear the argument that they appear in cut scenes a lot, but by that logic your starter should be shiny locked. Plus, there is only one Ultra Beast that appears in cutscenes that you only catch one of(that being Nihilego, which we still know there are multiple of))
The Tapu: I understand why these ones are shiny locked.
Cosmog, Cosmoem, Solgaleo, and Lunala: I think Lillies Cosmog(and its evolutions) definitely should be shiny locked, but it would be cool if the alternate dimension's Cosmog could be shiny
Necrozma*: I don't honestly know.
Magearna and Marshadow: they're already just given away, hopefully they'll decide to do a shiny giveaway or unlock the original version of Magearna
Agreed!
I feel (hope) the Magearna (modern) and Marshadow shinies aren't different as there is no need for shinies if they're locked...
Maybe..?
At least you can get a shiny Kyurem
Supersonix58 In sun and moon? If not your comment doesn't mean anything on a video about sun and moon
The first games to introduce shiny locking was Black and White, in which Reshiram and Zekrom were shiny locked. However, Kyurem isn't. I think they were just referencing this part: 0:30
shiny solgaleo looks like something from Zoids
I met a hacker who had EVERY single shiny locked Pokémon. Tapus, 10% 50% 100% Zygarde, the UBS except for Kartana, (which I got for trading a Celesteela), and even had a Marshadow.
At least shiny Tapu Koko is now obtainable. Granted, its an event, but its better than nothing
I hate it when people call necrozma an ultrabeast. it is confirmed in the game that he is not an ultrabeast...
Time to be Triggered! :D
NECROZMA ISN'T AN ULTRA BEAST GOD DAMNIT!!!
But a good video! It deserves my like.
They have already given away shiny Tapu Koko, I really hope they do this for the other 3. :D
The only difference between shiny cosmog and regular cosmog are that it has pink cheeks.
Also they don't manually make shinys, the palette is changed automatically and all have a shiny
AtomicCookieGaming that was the case in the Second Generation only
so the "legendary " sun and moon pokemon art really legendary because they evolve
magearna original goes from a pokeball to an ultra ball which is cool
Man, I really want those shiny Tapus.
I really don't get why Gamefreak would even bother to design shiny forms at all for Pokemon that are shiny locked.
Aeladya well some of them will probably receive events for shiny versions of them
I know this was made a long time ago but you can get shiny tapu koko by mystery gift
Shiny Marshadow's head turns purple when it attacks.
Necrozma isn't a UB
so the tapus went goth looks like dartrix isnt the only one 'going through a phase' *scoff *scoff
I wonder why UB 03's code name is "Lighting", when it looks like it would be "Lightning".
All of the shinys should be available but solgaleo, lunala and tapu find are my favourite
These should all be a huge event
Well, technically speaking, the version exclusive legendaries shouldn't even be classed as legendaries, seeing as they have an evolutionary line
Wow this makes me glad i have shiny tapu coco
Anyone else think Shiny Lunala looks like something to be found in Bloodborne?
omfg shiny lunala and tapu bulu look sooooooooooo good i wish i had them :( i cry
Necrozma isn't an Ultra Beast, it's actually the third legendary of the games. But it's ok a lot of people make that mystake
why are Pokemon Shiny locked anyway? I know for events and stuff but like just why are they just shiny locked
Das ist not how thy pronounce Cosmoem.
Edit: Also, Marshadow has another change to its shiny. When Marshadow attacks, colours around its head appear, and are different with its shiny. If you saw it for yourself, you'd know what I'm talking about, it's difficult to explain.
