must be nice to have easy keepers. my gelding rio needs 829202 grains and supplements different things to stay fit healthy and pretty while my mare kelly just has a basic grain and joint supplements as she is older
@@eqrena yes it is but one of our horses gets like a million things coz he a really hard keeper
mine loses weight really fast. in summer he’s on dengie alfa-a and cool nuts (hes really forward and hot headed). in winter he either gets 1/2 extra alfa-a or 1/2 sugarbeet added

Thank you so much for that Georgia, ive been waiting for your feed vlog. My Haffy is 17 & has mild onset arthritis in her front leg where she sustained a suspensory ligurement injury. Ive tried sooooo many joint supplements & tbh not seen any change so i will seriously consider trying her on Cortaflex so thank you for your detailed descriptions on everything. Chilly certainly gets a lot of tablets but if they help him then thats the most important. Ive also read so many conflicting reviews about Turmeric too, like you i dont feed it.

No wonder Charlie doesn't want to gallop! Being a senior citizen myself, I can certainly understand how he feels....could I gallop? NOPE!!!! Could I trot? Very little. Could I hang in there? Sure will try!!!! Great coverage on feeding. That was how I learned what & how to feed my horses when I first got horses (many, many years ago), someone was kind enough to share what they knew about feeding! I am so grateful for that! Bless you & your family for keeping & taking care of the elderly horses!!!!

Georgia, I know im not your vet or anything, but I have a pony with rlly bad allergies like chilli and we tried Hack up Bespoke, they basically tailor the supplements to your horses diets, what they're allergies are like etc, and it worked rlly well for him! You cld try it with chilli bc he might not have to have as many puritan tablets x

Turmeric is also supposed to go into the blood stream and prevent irritation from mites and fly's because they don't like the taste and it adds a taste to the food

my little pony has just been diagnosed with copd and has ventapulmin however only to be used on her worst days. apparently this is coz it can loose its effectivness. do you worry about this as I am finding she is needing ventapulmin most days!

Question: why not feed just hay? Does it not fatten them enough? Or do certain horses not thrive on hay and grass alone?
Amanda hay doesn’t have all the vitamines horses need but sometimes hay and grass are enough it depends on the horse’s breed, activity etc

A girl on TikTok is using videos of caramel and claiming it is her horse. She is also using @ponycam videos and claiming they are hers as well as lots of other equestrian you tubers videos. Her name is @x.horses.x2. I just thought I would let you know and ponycam is asking as many people as possible to block her!! She claims that caramel is actually called cookie and that she is their family pony when you can clearly see in the background that is your barn. So annoying 😭xx

Turmeric is meant to help with pain my one horse has osteoarthritis and get turmeric twice a day. It has really helped with her pain and it has made her rideable

For horses that are prone to gastric ulcers you should try Aloe Vera Juice instead of water to moisten their feed. Maybe you could do a little research and share your findings 🙄
Shes done a dissertation think she knows what she talking about, there her horses she knows them and sees them everyday so dont tell her what to do and how to do it
Morgan Hunter everyone is bored during lockdown. She, like every other UA-camr, has asked for video ideas. I heard her mention her dissertation which is why I asked her, the legitimate expert here, to research it and share the information with her subscribers who may not know about the benefits. I'm not TELLING her what to do WITH HER HORSES. It was a suggestion for a video. That being said, maybe you should read with complete understanding before you reply to posts or better yet mind your business as no one was talking to you 😉
