Hey Adam...I've asked before and you said it was on your list, but please, can you make a 3 part video - MAKING A BEAT, MIXING AND MASTERING??? I'm sure MOST of us would appreciate it. THANKS FAM! #logicgang
Important video, appreciate it! Question: In regards to balancing loudness & LUFS value for DSPs such as Spotify; How do you maintain high loudness without affecting the LUFS value too much so that Spotify lowers the volume of your track?
You have to do a deep dive on this man, because I literally won’t watch anyone else’s videos on this particular topic. Like what’s the difference between the two limiters too?
I am creating audio books for ACX and I'm baffled- I am trying to fix this and I'm really confused. Once I get the hang of this I'm good. But good video.
yup definitely don‘t master to -14 lufs. Every commercial song is at like -10lufs and then get‘s turned down. For some reason it turns out louder that way even tho both songs will be -14lufs on youtube/spotify etc.
Experiment not using a limiter nor a clipper and let logic's output channel clip it naturally. Often works better than plugs depending on the material you are working. (you do need to eventually automate some stuff). This doesn't work on pro tools for example. Don't know about other daws.
I'd do both but you definitely want it on pre-bounce so you know it sounds/reads correct how you want it to. But yes I add to the final bounce as part of a master chain. The settings will differ in those different scenarios though.
Many of you were asking why I use a Limiter in all my session - hopefully this answers that question.

Ez HurryOfficial nah, i’ve been here for 3 years
Can somebody point me in the direction of that vocal sound effect used in the old lil Wayne song “block is hot” the sound is like an “ohhh” sound
Thanks Adam!
Please do a video about compression too. I know you’ve done some in the past, but a new, updated one would be really cool, as you’ve changed a lot.
And that's why you are the best logic UA-cam out there ...... brilliant video
I think that every producer needs to know this I am going to this trick all the time

Hi Adam, would you mind making a video to show us how to isolate Acapellas from songs
Thank you! Love your work
cool tutorial . now when is the brilliance or ambient mix coming ?
Send me a link to that 808 your using it’s fire bro. Or is it stock in logic ? Let me know. Great video by the way 👍

Limiters are crucial but I noticed the Logic adaptive limiter squashes the dynamics even when the gain isn’t too high.
Thanks
the adaptive limiter kind of made my 808 punch washed out… do you know how to fix it
Won't the volume become lower on Spotify then? Seems the "pros" have really loud tracks

im a spotify artist/producer, i always aim for -14 lufs and -1db and it works out perfectly
whats ur opinion on the overdrive softclipper setting on the master? i personally prefer that for all my beats in logic
good question

Bro how you got your kit to sound so clean ? Maybe I need to know how to import it
They should add logic pro x on iPad Air
rags2riches remake🔥
can you use a limiter for mastering a song during recording session ?
Question
You add the adaptive limiter BEFORE you bounce your track OR AFTER ??
Before
@@prodbyxav13r so you don’t apply again on your bounced stereo track ?
I'd do both but you definitely want it on pre-bounce so you know it sounds/reads correct how you want it to. But yes I add to the final bounce as part of a master chain. The settings will differ in those different scenarios though.
@@prodbyxav13r good looking for the SAWSE bro bro 💪🏿
@@DiabolicKal646 You know it man 🔥
how do u gain stage ?
Can you use it on your vocals as well ?
Is this basically soft clipping ?
Yes but there is a video by echo sound works on how to soft clip just look up logic soft clip
UA-cam normalizes loudness on videos too
Hi If You Love This comment Your A LEGEND
