Toyota Vios (ASEAN) or Toyota Yaris ATIV (Thailand) DNGA get Best Safety 5-Stars in ASEAN NCAP.

Is this after DNGA's wrongdoings ? Apparently they didn't recall previous cars to at least check on the "modified notch".
This one latest done by UMW Malaysia, removed so called modified things.. Malaysia's market car doesn't affected by those, only for thailand and middle east market which already recalled. That's Toyota, admits if they have mistakes 😊
@@mohamadbasheer7534 No recalls done globally. Perodua has admitted such an issue. Until today, those affected cars here in Malaysia are still on the road.
@@aakishkaushik that's perodua, need to ask perodua ceo.. toyota done it already, for Malaysia they assured not affected. That's why they redo the test to make customers satisfied. The test on the video is the unit from Malaysia, G spec. Those Rim only for Malaysia's market.

1. Modified notch been used Daihatsu during first NCAP test, after they realised parts supplied not strong enough to withstand the impact on the side door pillar. They changed the parts immediately but kept the matter silent as sold few thousand cars already (which toyota labelled them irresponsible).
2. For Thai market yes I admit they didn't recall, I read wrongly it's my mistake ✌️. They suspended the sales for few months until they cleared that the car is safe, where by doing retest. Even after removing the modified part, still passed the requirements. Under Toyota Japan's supervising.
3. On this particular video, done specially by Toyota Malaysia which to satisfy the customer, on the video is the G spec, rim specially equipped for Malaysia's market.

Not sure, coz no option for manual transmission Vios in Malaysia.

This one conducted by UMW Malaysia, for VN spec same chasis with third generation, only facelifted. No need for the test.

Too harsh? Just the steering and some buttons.. people tend to focus on the little bad things but not the good ones like good chassis, full adas, auto hold auto brake, wireless apple car play and android auto
@@edwardkok9596 perodua axia have all of those features you mentioned.. both chassis is also using DNGA. I’m not surprised why ppl are going for the alternative, Honda city
