I hate microsoft so much
I’ve been at this since 9:30 am. It’s now almost 5:00 Pm. I can get to the control panel, system and security and then no Bitlocker Drive encryption choice. I cannot decrypt or turn off anything bit locker related. I’ve had to enter my recovery key at least a dozen times today I despise Microsoft. I never gave them the choice to add this to my PC in the first place.

sorry bit confused as how you get the key off the c drive if you saved it in the user folder ..you by passed the bitlocker and used notepad in the command but that drive will be encryted ??? Sure if that was the case just pull the drive take data and do clean install ? you cant get data off a bitlocker drive without the key
Generally, you can't save bitlocker recovery key at the same drive as you're trying to encrypt. Windows doesn't allow to do that this way. So, if you've got a recovery key on encrypted partition... that means you have to copied this key to this parition... From somwhere else, and in "somwhere elese" you should looking for your key. :)
I was thinking the same thing. He must have gotten the key from the unencrypted drive, otherwise Bitlocker wouldn't make sense. His video shows two drives, one encrypted and the other one not.

THANK YOU! My laptop would not recognize my password, nor the bitlocker recovery code on the "blue screen". Using your method via the command prompt screen did the trick. Once the bitlocker was disabled, the computer booted and recognized the password! AMEN!

@@RahulUpadhyay-pj5nv unfortunately, I have to reset my computer after almost 2 week because all of my work was pending but you can do one thing you can arrange a external hard drive and then copy your C,D drive in that and then you reset your system install new windows and then copy your files....
But in my case my data was stuck after 11GB after so much try I decide only to copy this 11 GB and then when I try to paste my data in new windows it was definitely pasted but still not open till date don't know why

IM SO MAD WITH THE BITLOCKER THING. I PUT THE BITLOCKER KEY PASSWORD (WHILE ITS CORRECT AND IT ACCEPTS THE PASSWORD-IF I PUT A WRONG PASSWORD, THE PASSWORD IS NOT ACCEPTED AFTER 6 DIGITS). AND THEN IT ASKS ME TO RESET THE COMPUTER AND WHEN I DO IT ASKS ME TO PUT THE PASSWORD AGAIN AND THIS GOES ON FOREVER AND NOTHING CHANGES. I CANT AFFORD TO FUCKING LOSE ALL MY DATA. I HAVE BEEN WORKING ON THIS PROJECT FOR MULTIPLE MONTHS !!!!!!!!!!!

I have no idea how my bitlocker got enabled in the first place, So i dont know if my key has been saved anywhere. And since the MS account was my college account, i do not have access to the account.
I'm having the exact same issue. My microsoft email is an old email that got detailed. The only option I had was to reset the email but I have to wait 30 days for this to happen so Im locked out of my PC for a month

I'm unable to use the recovery key to unlock my E drive as after entering the things you had said, it shows every message as before except the last line where it should show that the password unlocked volume E successfully. Also after typing that code for volume E it also doesn't allow me to type anything in the command prompt. And regarding the issue that I'm facing, well my laptop is having a very strange error. It first says to enter bitlocker recovery key but then just says the error that your device ran into an error and needs to restart. And after that it again shows the bitlocker interface where I have to put my recovery key and even after putting that it says the same error then either shows the bitlocker interface again or shows advanced repair options. Can somebody help?. I've tried every single method I found on the internet but still no success. I'm using a Lenovo laptop btw.

Awesome video help! The update that just hit the week of 4.19.24 completely crashed my laptop. This video helped me get past BitLocker so I could reset as it went into endless cycles without the bypass.
