It seemed like he didn't even give enough time for the whole electrolysis process to finish. It was like he was just impatient and decided to finish it up with the grinding wheel.
I didn't see anything AMAZING about this. He really didn't do anything. He didn't even clean it well. The I bolt was still rusty and the body was all scratched up.
You are certainly an outside-the-box thinker, but not necessarily in a good way. Sometimes things are done a certain way for a reason. For instance, the claw end of a claw hammer is not typically used to strike things, especially delicate things, due to the risk of seriously damaging the workpiece. Perhaps you should consider using a wire brush to remove scale next time.
Agree. It was very sloppy and just plain cringey. I mean, gosh, he massacred those parts with the grinding wheel. Even after assembling them back it still looked messed up.
I agree. Good grief. The scratches on the brass were deplorable, and there were still marks on it too. This wasn't finished at all. Won't watch any more from this creator I'm afraid.
I wouldn't be putting my fingers that close to a spinning grinder disc. He's either very brave or has a screw loose. Amazing ? Yeah, he's still got his digits !
Painful to watch. Do you not have a wire brush? I think the white powder must be Calcium Carbonate. It reacts with water to produce acetylene gas, which is flammable and burns with a very smoky flame. Usually the bottom chamber holds the powder and water drips down from the top chamber.
That took a lot of time and effort its nice to see you do cares enough to want to restore old stone gas lamp and make them look brand new again. Great job 🍻🤟👍
Came here to see if anyone else was cringing when they saw the angle grinder come out. Why? Electrolysis would have worked fine. You didn’t even buff the scratches, yes scratches NOT swirl marks, at the end. At least use some fine sand paper to get the big ones out… yikes. Could’ve even left it with a brushed finish and it would’ve looked better. Honestly, this was kind of painful to watch.
What was the powder and liquid you put in at the end? I'm trying to figure out why its called a stone gas lamp. I figured 'Stone' was the name of a brand.
I enjoy restoring things as well. But I think I would have passed on this one. So much wrong with it and other then some bright shiny metal, it still looks pretty beat up... Thumbs Up for your efforts though.
Here is a tip. The Lamp gets to much gas. The gas outlet needs to be smaller, so that it doesn’t produce as much smoke and shines with more continuity. But otherwise a great restoration.
Awesome!!!! Now if you wanted to return it back to the mess it was it will take a lifetime of abuse and neglect 🧐 that achieve the takes a lot longer lol
Much more could have been made of the lamp. The result is not convincing. That's how you earn money on YT ? Auf gut Deutsch würde ich sagen : Anfänger ! Setzen ! Sechs !
NO, NO,NO, Don't hit things with the claw of a claw hammer it is there as a lever to pull out nails! The 3 bits of the handle looked as though they should have been straight and an angle grinder on brass or other soft metal? I think not. Sorry but I must speak as i find!!
I agree. I was starting to feel uncomfortable when he just grinded everything clean. It still looked messed up when he assembled the parts back. Overall I think it was a very sloppy restoration. Not high quality at all.
Antique Teapot Restoration with AMAZING outcome

Amazing? I'm amazed it survived the angle grinder and claw hammer!
we all start out rookies.and progress with each project.be well my friends.
It is soo nice..super 👍👍👍❤❤❤
Super !!!
I love watching your videos they are better than TV. :-)
Instead of using the plumbers wrench stick a screwdriver through the eyelet will give. Much more leverage and not leave the teeth impressions
I don’t understand why you do electrolysis when you grind the parts anyway.

my thoughts exactly mike..?
Invest in a sand blaster, complete the project, make it look amazing if you're going to claim an amazing outcome. Rushed, shoddy work doesn't pay off.
Sweet 👍🏻 👍🏻
goood job i love it..but please change your table😵😵 it need a restoration

@@WorldRestoration You're welcome!!
Seriously? Is this your amazing outcome? should have left this nice piece to someone who knows what to do.
Agree with you

very nice restoration👍
Try using the right size screwdriver for a change and see how that works for you.
Painful to watch. Do you not have a wire brush?

Belissima!!! Parabens.
Very nice!
Muito bom.
I kind of like the fuckups and multiple non-working tool selections to accomplish a task. Normally those are cut out.
Every single thing this guy does has the same burnished finish to it. Someone make him stop.
Great job, considering where you started from. I have one question. Why not paint the steel parts. Not a criticism, just a question.
You didn’t even restore it 🤔
Watching him doing these Restorations is very cool & very relaxing!

You called this amazing? 🤔
What was the powder and liquid you put in at the end? I'm trying to figure out why its called a stone gas lamp. I figured 'Stone' was the name of a brand.
I believe it to be Calcium Carbide powder, and the liquid to be Water. When mixed, Acetylene gas is produced, which is highly flammable.
How did you do it inside?
this was not a restoration; you just clean it, not even fix the holes on the loose screws, i think this could have been a better restoration! 👍
I enjoy restoring things as well. But I think I would have passed on this one. So much wrong with it and other then some bright shiny metal, it still looks pretty beat up... Thumbs Up for your efforts though.
Thank you. We will change
Guy really you are the best one !!! The pie topping is when you lit it
Parody?
Took it apart cleaned it up and put it back together that’s a restoration 😂
Still a lot of work to do to call it an "amazing outcome"... 3rd video I watch on this channel and 3rd deception, time to move on... 🤔
Bringing that old rusty thing to life was amazing ! Thumbs up ! I wonder what is the white powder and the liquid used to fueled and light up!
It is calcium carbide. When mixed with water it produces acetylene gas.
Amazing!!

He might also have tilted the spout upward as it should be.
so that's why so many houses burned down back in the day
Okay can't watch this. Hitting with the claw end. Of the hammer is too much cya
*I've seen restoration badly done, but yours, if it surpassed itself, a real rubbish job, aren't you ashamed to present this mediocrity????*
95% of the comments - bad boys job. I got to admit it ain’t good fella. Pretty crude work.
No new gasket?
Это не рестоврация, грубо а также очень поверхностно. Там ещё много работы. Автор не своим делом занимается.
Страшно было смотреть как он разбирал
Pouco estressado esse restaurador 🤣🤣🤣🤣
I haven't seen the vid. Assume by amazing outcome the old can must have become a flamethrower.
Awesome!!!! Now if you wanted to return it back to the mess it was it will take a lifetime of abuse and neglect 🧐 that achieve the takes a lot longer lol
Not a perfect restoration,sorry
Me: No way he can restore this
World Restoration: Hold my 🔧
What is this Dart Wader sound???
You have got to be kidding.
Its a carbide lamp but not an original.
Your did a half-assed job on that and you call that an AMAZING outcome..? Not impressed.
si vas hacer una cosa hasla bien si no no la hagas

Acetylene was named in honor of aztecs by french conquestador.
Происходит от франц. acétylène, далее из лат. acetum «укус» + франц. éthylène «этилен» Русский Викисловарь

Destriyer of a lamp not a restorer...
Those poor tweezers. Get a proper scraper or set of dental picks!
wtf molesting al the parts with a grinding wheel worst restoration ever tbh

En cualquier momento te llaman de un museo para que vayas con la amoladora y les restaures todas esas cosas arruinadas que tienen...
Y asi se pierde la historia...
