Mute swan , Cygnus olor , with cygnets

The local Mute swan family swimming up and down the river. A fallen tree was a bit of an obstacle to one of the cygnets when they were still quite young, but with some encouragement it got over. A few weeks later the remaining cygnets have grown up quite a bit, wobbling over the pebbles when the parents decided to come out off the water.

Aw, so sweet sploshing against the log and the parents clearly thinking they were going to have to go and give it a shove. Then the moment of success was hidden behind a branch. Thanks for the video.
