3:07 He knew what he was doing with that devious smirk, its so infuriating and genius how he made a version of Penelope to toy with him so he can kill more people💀
using Penelope to get him to kill more people... AGAIN (side eyeing his little "you can say goodbye to... Penelope" manipulation from The Horse & the Infant)
I love how you make Zeus get handsy with Odysseus, invading his personal space and making him feel like a damsel not just emotionally and in mental turmoil, but physically, it really shows how oppressive the king of the gods is that this "different beast" and mortal king and warrior can't even bring himself to attempt to fight back simply because he knows it would be pointless and his instincts were probably all screaming at him to not even date resist lest something worse happens which makes Zeus an even more terrifying force!!! Bravo
Love this design, Zeus is meant to be a buff guy, a symbol of strength, masculinity and misogyny. Adding the horns is also an amazing reference to his time as an bull stealing women lol Also Eurylochus placing the hand on Odysseus shoulder DAMN
something about Ody pointing directly at Euri hits so hard! (Also massive respect for working stuff out with Neal. Being able to not only admit that the videos were a bit too similar but take it down and rework parts is something that many people can't do!)
In all fairness Euri did get them into literally every problem situation with the exception of Scylla and Odysseus being an idiot and saying his name. Don’t believe me let’s go down the list Having to find food in the beginning of the Troy saga. Euri was the ships quartermaster he was in charge of the food and the fact they ran out was his job to make sure didn’t happen. The cyclops: Euri shot the sheep in the canon animatic before Odysseus told him too. He caused the conflict with the cyclops The Poseidon incident: he opened the bag despite being told explicitly that the bag was holding the storm that was keeping them away from home Circe: he was the one who lead the scouting party to Circe and allowed them to party and stuff getting them turned to pigs The cow: you were told that this is the realm of the sun god and there are plenty of myths about the sun gods cattle… sure why not go ahead and kill the cattle. Literally everything is Euri’s fault at this point in the saga except Scylla and Odysseus yelling out his name.
@@hellboundchaoscommand7567 I don't think shooting the sheep is something to blame Eury for, I mean, it was the intention to kill the sheep for food. So that really wasn't a bad thing on his part. In everything else I can say that Eury has a large part of the responsibility, as well as Ody. In the end, the decision to sacrifice his crew was not a punishment, He did not do it out of revenge, on the contrary, he clearly suffered for that sacrifice. But right now, the most important thing is to get back home What I mean is that even if his crew had all been saints, Ody would have sacrificed them exactly the same. (Sorry if I make any grammatical mistakes, English is not my first language)
I totally see the parrallel's to Neils' work here but there are touches and differences you did that I really like. for one... THEY ARE ON A SHIP. lol. Also the fact the men actually look far more like they been through the wringer and desperate. This is truly a "OH BOY! I HAVE TWO CAKES!" Situation when comparing the two.
Yesss a thunder Bringer with subtitles, thank you! I love the detail too in using his powers, it's only the second animatic were the crew is forced to cover their ears from the thunder or pressure that comes with storms. (sorry I'm editing as I'm watching lol) And the crew reaching for their weapons as they go through the chorus?? Damn. I'm sad I didn't get to see the original but your art is amazing either way
Your Zeus is so vicious. He so clearly enjoys the suffering he's putting these people through, it's chilling, I love it. ^_^ Odysseus's expression once he's pointed the finger, the choice has utterly destroyed him TT_TT
The fact that the man who was a brother to Odysseus, got karma from opening the bag, which caused them to have to deal and go through all that that they had to go through
Folks talking about how he 'tricked' Odyseuss when it was clear that there was only ONE way this was going to play out, especially with how he KNEW who killed Helios' friends. The crew was who broke Xenia. This wasn't him tricking Odyseuss... this was him telling him that there's only ONE option he CAN choose..... and as they say. The truth? Hurts.
No One can make me believe ody's crew didn't deserve it. They are like a bunch of hypocrite babies and they brought that on themselves in the very first occasion they had to take charge. So... Nuh uh, not ody's fault.
no one attacked him here, they just accepted their fate
Which I respect.
I love the choice of having Zeus manhandling Odysseus like he was his personal plaything
Fr though

HE HURLED HIS THUNDERBOLT!
"Suggestive themes." It's Zeus, what else would he be doing?
Honestly- I wasn’t surprised. Bro is the suggestive themes at this point.
That crewmate at 2:33 like "Hey, why don't I get to choose? I didn't sign up for this favoritism"
Other crew member: "Dude, we caused a mutiny remember? Sir! I am not with him!"
Well, they also caused this and yet Odysseus is being punished for it.
Me: "Bitch, you ate the cattle along with everyone else except Odysseus! You ain't no saint!"

Zeus having horns like the devil i quite fitting
I find it more like bull horns, but that's just my opinion
Zeus has an association with Bulls, and Hera has the same with cows.
Fitting trait to show up with when avenging the immortal cattle herd.
I think it’s a call back on how he turns to a bull during the Europa incident
@@banbowyt8945 but zeus does act like the devil tough

The mannerisms are on point for Zeus
I really like how they have Greek features like their noses. I love details like that
Zeus having bull’s horns is a really cool design choice!
the clap was SO COOL
Absolutely perfect idea

No, no, no, no, that lip/teeth lick made me SO uncomfortable 😂
Unfortunately, Zeus will be Zeus
RIGHT?? like,,, ugh…so uncomfortable when Zeus did that… (very in character, but also ew)
Ah the age old tale of: And then there was Zues and his *ahem* "lightning bolt"
Zeus feeling up Odysseus in this one. Omg
Don't ask me about the horns, a transformation got stuck

i love the ending doodle of Odysseus getting washed up on Calypso's island, and her watching behind the bushes😂😂
The clouds really can't catch a break in those animatics.
Great job!
i love that everyone agreed that zeus gets REAL inappropriate with clouds durning this animatic
Does anyone else remember growing up watching Disney's Hercules and thinking the Greek gods were such great guys, besides Hades?
Turns out it was the other way around 😅
Yours and @Neal Illustrator have my top favorite designs for Zeus!!
The fact that the man who was a brother to Odysseus, got karma from opening the bag, which caused them to have to deal and go through all that that they had to go through
Who said their name to a child of posidon
its so ironic how the moment the situation is so dramatic an sad but the music not lol
OH NA THE CLOUD CROWN ON ODY??? the DISRESPECT.
This Zeus is the more terrifying one this far
frankly this all could'a been avoided if they'd listened to my man about the cows
If I was the crew I would just throw myself into the ocean I know he ain't going to pick me
bro i saw this for the first time and then tried to watch it again a diff time and i swear i was tweaking cause i was like where is this animatic ;-;
