Your successful sea trial of the repaired CL16 is a testament to your skill and dedication. Your meticulous attention to detail and perseverance in ensuring the boat's seaworthiness are truly commendable. May your future voyages be filled with smooth sailing and memorable adventures. And I am a floating village life from Vietnam.
I'm in for some CL16 content. I have one that's a tad older than that. I can tell because mine has the older mast where the main halyard doesn't run through the mast. I sailed it on Saturday. I will be looking back through your content to see what I can learn about the boat. I've been struggling to figure out simple things like how much tension to put on the side shrouds and how much rake to put on the mast. Also how to best install a downhaul on the rudder. It was the first time sailing my CL16 since 5 years ago when I was bringing it back in and while it was tied off and I was backing my trailer some strong waves caused the forestay turnbuckle to strip out and the mast fell backward and broke and damaged a lot of things. After that I had to search for a secure a new roadworthy trailer and finally I'm both roadworthy and seaworthy.
At first I thought this was a tutorial on how to float your boat 😅...Im glad the sailboat had no leaks. Another good day on the lake. Who rowed for 3 hours??? 😊😊 My hubs said if we ever buy a sailboat, he wants to name it, Passing Wind. 🤭🤭🤭
