It's a catch 22... every UA-camr who demonstrates something (product, teaching a skill, etc.) can spread like wildfire -- pallet wood. Your channel shows a nice & functional building/ project with pallet wood. I can't wait for the upcoming summer project(s) from you two. 🙂
We are looking forward to getting to work on the next project too!

Did wildlife (deer, moose, etc.) tear up the cameras (or the weather)? That moose was big. Keep well you two.
A bear knocked it down, it's go submerged once in the river. That poor camera had a life. 😉♥️

Awesome! You both have the nature channel in your backyard. 🙂
True
What size lumber pieces did you use for the legs? Looks good! I really like the rustic look of pallet wood projects (table, cabinet & other cool projects using pallet wood). That deer sniffed the camera?? 😅 Cool animals.. glad the skunk behaved itself! 😁
4” x 5” pallet runner. Thanks!

That's a big wood pile for you all to burn during ❄️❄️. What did the moose communicate back to you two? 😁 Awesome that you both get to see such wildlife (trail cam too) & share it with us viewers. 🙂.

🫎Very cool! I’m in PEI. The biggest game we have are skunks…and we tend to not try to call those critters out
No kidding, skunks are nothing to mess with.
this is what retirement looks like
Exactly, if you're not careful…
Moose on the trail cam..the babies are getting bigger. Its frustrating trying to complete a project & something breaks.
Too true.
Were you clearing the area with the beast for another upcoming wood pallet project? Plastic parts, yeah, who knew & especially expensive machinery that needs to be built to last...🙄
Yep, new build coming when we have enough pallets.
maybe you can make something out of brass to replace the plastic gear? surprised it lasted so long honestly.
I don't have a lathe, but you're right. The bendex was worn out too. Got a new starter for close to the same price.

great video... hardest part is finding pallets roughly the same size
So true.
buen trabajo señor
Gracias! Thank you!
Garden beds are looking good. Nice garden too. I bet you two enjoy your garden/gardening. Good use of the water tank. As you two demonstrate that pallet wood projects are amazing builds. 🙂
😉
Grandma Kate would be proud of your gardening skills.
Thanks Dale!
Very cool Good find ..They're perfect for what you did with them..

Muy bueno saludos desde Córdoba capital ( ARGENTINA)
¡Muchas gracias! ¡Saludos desde Canadá! Thank you!
What was that little animal critter? I couldn't quite make out what it was. I'm looking forward to you two building the lean to & the other mysterious not named project for summer next year.
Keith's phone, not the best camera, sorry. That critter is a groundhog.
@@palletcabin-YR_Author we have them here & they are big!
2 more upcoming wood pallet projects for next year??? No hints?? Tweaking a building is an understatement. 👍
Stockpiling pallets already. Stay tuned!

Wow! Lovely. That salt lick was enjoyed by mum moose. Was that a coyote @ the end? Nice video of animals on the cam trail.
Coyote for sure.
You left them a salt lick?
Yep. They like it.

Relentless winds! Goodness! Nice job on the rain gutter, can't beat free. I hope you two had a nice day @ the cabin, it looks great. Enjoyed the animals on the trail cam.

I like that garage, very much savings on lumber
Thanks!
Question: wasn't quite sure if you said you weren't going to go with the color of the garage in the future??? and something about it turning a gray??? That color looks good! You all did a good job & it seems the building went a lot quicker...another project...👍
I am only staining the building once. It will fade over time with the weather, it will go a lighter grey. I'm good with that.
@@palletcabin-YR_Author the wind or something made it a tad challenging for me to understand. I understand what you mean now. The trail cam of animal(s) is always a nice surprise @ the end of the video. 🙂
No disrespect, but your building a 'pallet' shed not the Taj Mahal, why use a spirit level 😂😂😂😂
😄

Thank you!! I just bought a CL 16 very helpful
Good! Glad to help.
That's a thick door well built. The forged door handles - looks good. You went walking & heard a bear snort @ you??? Good thing you had bear spray! Madam Author, working hard too. 🙂
New book released in August. Promotion, etc. sucks up my day. Library donations, are fun though. Storm Stayed, book 4 Musgrave Landing Mysteries
@@palletcabin-YR_Author Madam Author, I'm checking over your book list (mystery ones), can't find them @ Barnes & Noble here in the US but found them online. I'm not an ebook reader. 🙂
@DE2borknot2b Barnes and Noble offer some of my books in paperback, The Wrong Words and The Right Road, for sure. I think the cheapest way is to ask your local library to get them in. Or Smashwords.com has all the paperbacks. They are a book distribution broker to the online stores.♥️
@@palletcabin-YR_Author Thanks. I'm a book worm & the ebooks kind of don't work for me .. I'm picky, I guess. 🙃🙂 I found a website that has a number of your books in paperback. I went to the website you suggested: smashwords. I know US libraries carry authors from Canada, England, Scotland, etc. because I read a number of authors from those countries. We've moved to another US state & I haven't signed up @ the local library.... I love love love mysteries.
$685 total -- can't beat that for a 12x16 garage. Looks good too.
The doors look amazing big brother!!!
Love the result. That is a great stain on the building ❤
I want that stain on the front of my house. Much more character.

Give the used motor oil / diesel mixture a try. Guys with trailers use it all the time. Surprisingly it doesn't feel oily when done.
Yep, that's what I use. It works well.
Exactly the video I needed! The best cl16 video ever. Thanks so much for sharing
You're welcome. Thanks for the post.
thank you for making this one! I liked your stands that you made for trailering the mast. I need to make some of those. I've been using a pool noodle on the traveler track, and my mast did bow from not being supported in the middle. Also I never did use the winch to help step the mast. I liked seeing those jib hanks on the jib because mine still has some original plastic ones that I'm sure are going to break soon. I need to find where to get some like yours has for when they do. I also never really though to run the foot of the sail into the boom before I mounted the gooseneck to the mast, but that's obviously a better way to do it. My gooseneck doesn't have a lock on it either. I replaced the wire/rope halyard with a rope halyard too, but I used like a 5/16 or a 3/8" rope that would barely fit through the hole on the head of the sail and then I just tie a stopper not basically to rig the sail to the halyard. Also my main sail doesn't have reefing eye toward the luff, it just has the one at the mast for the cunningham. I have the same tiller, but a different rudder, but I will use your demonstration to help fix the downhaul. As far as the shrouds and the forestay. I am a little nervous about the tang because those rivets holding the tangs in are old, and earlier this summer I was sailing and the rivets on my tiller extension let go of the tiller. But I know that the mast will obviously lean to the leeward side underr wind and that shroud will go slack. On the forestay when I step up the mast it's never really that tight like you said, but mast does have a little forward rake to it, and still has some play. I still am only comfortable taking it out in light wind around 5-10 knots, not much more than that. Thanks! She's a good looking CL16 Lately I've been trying to improve my trailer set up. My ramp is very shallow and it's a little hard to get the boat off the trailer and even harder to get back on....
I buy my sailing kit from Binnacle out of Nova Scotia, they might have hanks. Possibly West Marine might have them. Thanks for your post.
