@@nathansieg4467 Buy it! I bought one, loved it so much, I bought a second one. Use them for a JX-08 and a Pico System III. This is a great demo of the sounds, but check out Chords of Orion for using the Looper.

@@cgonzt5636 i love it 👍🏻 connected to a sequencer all echoes stay in time while tweaking around. No parameter jumps to hear. The distortion reminds me on good old Nephilim guitars. I can pretty much lose myself in that wall of sound 😉 the shimmer may not be what a worship

Awesome! I’ve got a problem though. Mine would not have any sounds whatsoever. Anyone experiencing this? Plugged it on a dc chain and the sounds stopper working.
Imagine an ABY pedal set to Y with Sound 2 from this demo and a clean with chorus ballad chord progression.
Delay 1 and 2 can be used in series?

Solid, super nice atmospheric sounds. So does it replace the dedicated reverbs and delays on a pedalboard?
I really love these sounds, I think this pedal can replace all whole ambience section in a pedalboard.

@@PerryFrank Nice! The stereo sounds pretty nice. How did you find the stereo feild on it? Prob not as good as a bigsky but did it keep up there with other solid stereo pedal sounds?
@@jayvsson Bigsky has more reverb modes and it costs double.
Ocean Machine has two delays with 9 modes each, one reverb and a looper section and it costs half than the Bigsky.
The quality is very good for me

I think this pedal is hugely under-rated. The presets don't do it justice and it really shines when experimented with. Changing the signal chain creates some spectacularly big sounds for ambient guitar.

Sounds dope!! Sound 2 is that the same guitar riff with longer shimmer / feedbacks? Looking for my first pedal for my Nord Lead and other older synths that has no fx built in. How does one navigate through the ocean of millions of pedals and effects. i guess the more expensive ones at 400 dollars and up are out of my budget for now. Is this here cosidered a great one? I love the ambient sounds so that is a big plus!

Great video as always. Very inspiring. I have a question, Mr Frank, how would you compare this with your Big sky? Big sky is almost twice the price compared to the ocean machine. Is there that much of a difference tone wise?
Thanks so much 🙏 I can't compare it to a Bigsky, they're different in every aspects. Bigsky has better sounds and better ambiences but it has not a looper section and no delay sounds. Ocean Machine has good sounds and if you want a pedal to create a complete track this is the pedal for you

@@PerryFrank I see, so you recorded your loop, added layers to your loop and then changed the position of the looper within the pedals own signal chain to manipulate the loop further?

@@dontassumemyfender9866 you're welcome, yes, Ocean Machine can let do all these things, it's a very good pedal, but it has not the quality ambience of a Bigsky. But at that price (half than a bigsky) and considering all the other features it's a very good value for money.
great video Perry.. i recently have my ocean machine up for sale as i was disappointed to learn it does not have stereo in. watching this almost makes me want to keep it
It's a stereo pedal, why you say it does not have stereo? Maybe you had to turn on the ping pong function...
@@PerryFrank does not pass stereo in... if i put a ping pong {TC triple delay} in front of the ocean machine to use it for reverb, the ping pong does not pass through gets lost.. it gets combined to mono somehow... there are a few other videos out there regarding this.. stereo out, not true stereo in.... though i assumed it was because of the 2 inputs. check it out ....still a great pedal though .... great video...
@@billyscrapper It feels like you're mistaken. I've just read the user guide of the mooer ocean machine and it does say stereo inputs! Could you please elaborate on why you say its not stereo please? Thanks
@@oneandonlyarajivp i was using the ocean machine for reverb, and running a ping pong delay into it {getting good p-pong in my headphones) but when hooked up to the mooer, the delay was there, but the ping pong disappeared. might read more comments below i found while researching this issue before i sold my OM. Great pedal, has its own ping pong. but wont pass ping pong through it. some say it passes a wet/dry ... others said this """The WET signal of the reverb seems to have been first completely mono-summed before entering the reverb, so internally the Reverb is mono-in. Having any of the Delay units switched on will narrow down the stereo image of the DRY signal passing through the Delay by about half - on a Mid/Side meter, the Side signal seems to be lowered by about 6dB by switching either of the Delay units on. The WET signal going through the Delay units seems to be completely mono-summed before entering the delay."" test it yourself and see if you can get a ping pong from another delay to pass through it. i really wanted to keep it, but it seemed not to play well with others.
a pre-delay on the reverbs would be nice, and a way to bypass the pedal would be a good option also

The chain is always: delay A - delay B - reverb

All you have to do is copy the settings you see in the video. Remember that I'm using an Orange 35 LDX amp and a Roland JC22 in stereo set and I use the volume knob of the guitar to make swells

It has some great ambient sounds, but those bright blinking lights are too much. I would have to get out a paint pen to tone them down,
Yes, some sounds need more eq, it's true
