Considering Suikoden I & II are getting an HD remastering coming out next year. I'm sure Konami will consider remastering III & V plus IV & Tactics as bundles. Of the PS2 Suikoden games? III & V are the best. V for its gameplay and III for its story & soundtrack. V actually got it right overall, while it's story is not quite as good as III's, it's gameplay is top notch, a wonderful mix of old and new. The soundtrack is also good as well. III just nailed it, the way the story was told, the soundtrack, everything was just excellent. I'm glad I & II are getting remastered, as it gives us hope for the entire series to be given the same treatment, and for a new installment to come after. I truly hope so, as this series deserves to be experienced by all.

i remember i played this to the ultimate min max. ofc richard one of the best, but there was that sniper guy i think killey, i remember there was a way you could make him shoot 9999 multiple times in a row. might've had to use a buff from another char, i forgot tho. but killing final boss in like 2 mins

I really wish the later installments beyond 2 stuck with 2D sprites. The animations take far to long since they went 3D. Who else has 1 and 2 in perfect condition with instructions? This guy! Favorite game of all time.
my formation are galleon on the front alone, because he had best defence. Richard and georg on the second line. then me and miakis on the third line, (i know miakis is only at average stats, but i had a crush on her. so i always take her everywhere, hehe) and the last line is zerase. end game.
So the final boss is a giant sun moth... Suikoden has such an epic setting and theme, but even the wolf rune was underwhelming compared to fucking kafka from final fantasy etc. i always had the totally idle opinion that the manifestation of a sentient force would be more awesome.

strange, you loved Suikoden 4, the worst episode of the saga, bad graphic, poor rune magic effects, terrible stories, bad cut-scenes, not inspired main character design, terrible final dungeon..... 1, 2, 3 are far better for me
yeah strange ^^ please try again suikoden 5, with surely heart and follow the story. You will be amazed like me. 4 years ago i play this game, and i want to play again now. I cried because the ending was so touching lol. This is one of my favourite game, maybe the best. You must try it ^^ The story are so touching. Sorry for my bad english.
im agree with you, i love suiko 4 too, the story is good but too short and naval travel good too but no castle, there's something good on suiko 4 which any suiko dont have it

Never really cared about damage numbers in Suiko series. Story and characters are the best part. Music too.
But what happen to Lyon? Did the Twilight Rune drain all of her energy at the end and killed her?

She uses the rune while she still hurt. And theres no poison, dolph stab lyon right on her spine which make her bleed and paralyzed
