It would be nice if they put a few replacements in the box for you. Mine crumbled and I tried a rubber band, a zip tie, rolled up tape... But what worked for me is an ear plug. Those foamy ear plugs that squish and kinda hold their shape. I cut a piece off the end, used the point of a knife to put a small hole in the middle, pushed the plunger in from the bottom, and threaded it through the hole I made in the ear plug. It kinda sealed itself around the thing and rode up or down with the plunger(?). This was after many curse words, a frustration tear and I may or may have not thrown the basket at the wall. May go ahead and add vodka to my cup this morning.

Just go to Ace Hardware and find where they sell rubber grommets. Find one that fits tightly on the groove. It will hold the spring and seal the basket. 50 cents!

So my coffee maker was working just fine until I decided to clean the coffee pot and the basket (the washer came off but I put it back together) Now when I went to make coffee this morning it wasn't flowing at all, all the coffee stayed in the filter basket. Did i break it when I cleaned it ):
The o-ring is probably brown once you have used it a bit so don’t go looking for something so bright white in your trash can 😉
what if you just took that part off completely? I never use pause-brew anyways ....
Yes you can do that, it will drip a little when you remove the coffee pot but that is ok.
How do you attach spring to plunger mine falls out
The plunger holds the spring when you attach the rubber washer in the basket.

When I place the pot under this same coffee maker it makes the filter basket part pop up :(
Yeah it will cause the filter basket to lift a little. when you put coffee in the filter and put the hot water nozzle over the basket it should go back down. also when the water start to fill the basket it will cause the basket to go back down.
