We just bought a Mr. Coffee 12 cups maker, color black for only R$7,00 bucks! Yes! Purchase at the Goodwill store. I disinfected it very well, tested everything, ran water 2 to 3 times, and this morning we had a delicious cup of coffee. It's working marvelous well. Believe me, coffee was much better than the $12,00 dollar Walmart coffee maker that we bought a year earlier. Yes, the ones that are not getting richer in the US are going poor faster than ever. If you live in California, it's even worse. True. Very true. Thanks for the video.

Loved the video! I've had mine for over a year(replacing an older model that died)and actually like this one more! Never tried setting the delay; would just fill with water and grounds at night then hit the brew button when I got up in the morning but now needed to program because son starts work at pre-dawn hours and I figured it'd be easier for him to wake up to the smell of coffee. But wouldn't you know I couldn't find the manual so did a Google search and your video showed as recommend. I AGREE! You explained everything perfectly, especially that each user has to play around with the coffee to water ratio according to the brand coffee they use and their tastes. I've discovered filling the water to between 4 and 6 cups and 6 to 7 tablespoons gives the taste I like without hitting strong brew...I use a 10oz coffee mug. THANKS FOR A GREAT VIDEO! No, it was not TMI it was the right amount!😊👍👏💯
Got a new red one for Christmas, couldn't make a better cup of coffee! Mr. Coffee makers always made good coffee. And it does look good in my kitchen, too. I highly recommend it. You buy a cheap off brand, you'll get cheap and you'll have it in the trash in a year. Mr. Coffee is made to last for years, with proper care.
Thank you so much for the tutorial. I purchased my Mr. Coffee brewer a year ago, but have not used it yet due to purchasing my caffeinated beverages on my way to work every morning. I'm trying to be more frugal, so my intent is to start brewing at home prior to work in the morning. Due to my lack of familiarity with my machine, I felt somewhat intimated about the process, but you're video helped alleviate that anxiety immensely. The machine seems "user friendly." I'm excited to start using it.

On March 2021 I told my husband to buy a SMALL coffee maker for me (I was thinking about those tiny ones).
He went to walmart and got one of these 12 cup coffee makers to surprise me and well, he did. At first I was dissapointed because of the size, since I'm the only coffee lover in my house and my kitchen is small, but now, one year later I couldn't live without my 12 cup Mr. Coffee. 😍

Tip: Most coffee makers will tell you to use cool water. I use the hottest out of my kitchen sink. This give the brew a better start out the gate to better coffee. I also use the stainless basket and not the paper bags. When I start the brew, I keep the top open and as the water is coming out of the spout , I turn the basket a little at the time until all of the coffee gets hot water on it. Mr. Coffee machine I have is just like yours. Great machine. But it will wet most of the coffee but not all of it. Try spinning the basket. It works. When the brew is finished, turn the machine off. This will keep the hot plate from cooking your coffee. If the second coffee has cooled down, put it in the microwave. It will not make the coffee taste different as burning it will. I also grind my coffee right before it brew it so I do not use the timer. You don't save any time using the timer. You might get up a little last and have burned coffee too.

I just ordered a Keurig & my Eternal Voice is Saying buy a Coffee Pot. 1) I don't wanna go thru the process of making 3-4 Cups & There Not Cheap & I like my Coffee steaming Hot. So guess I'll be at Target Tomorrow to exchange for a Pot with Change due Back. Lol

Stronger dark-roast coffees naturally have a slightly bitter note to them.. So if you don't like your coffee to have a "bitter" bite to it, then chances are you don't like STRONG coffee..

This tutorial was very helpful! I got a Mr Coffee machine this Christmas from my parents, and had no clue how to use it. Only question I have is how to turn on the “brew later” option?
You have to set your clock first, then set the timer time. Hit brew later and make sure your water and grounds are ready!
Tap the, "Select" (On/off) Button.
The "Delay" light will stay on, and it will brew at the set time.

I just bought this maker Sept, 2022, I couldn't figure out how to set the delay, you explained it so well that I went right in the kitchen and set it no problem. My only question is, do I need to go over all those steps again to set this timer each morning I want it to set again?
Not for the setting of the time, just push the delay button. I think....
I have the same coffee maker. I don't like the taste of the Kuerig. It tastes too much like instant. I just forgot how to set the time for the time change🤪 .... And I found out it wasn't me! My clock quit working! I guess I'll unplug for a few minutes and then plug it back up and see if it works again!

Does your strong brew light go off after your coffee has finished brewing? I just got this model and mine goes off right after it beeps when it's finished. It wouldn't concern me if it wasn't weak coffee. I had an older Mr. Coffee maker and I use the same amount of water and coffee but the new coffee maker's coffee is weaker. The directions say it should remain in the brew strength I have selected until I change it back to regular.
Yes, the light goes off. I'd try adding more grounds? Could be a bad batch? Could be defective. Trade it in.

Do you know how to troubleshoot this model? When we plug it in, it starts up immediately but the buttons aren’t lighting up and we have to unplug it to shut it off.

I have a filter thing that supposed to let me know when I’ve used it for 30 days so I can change something. I’ve got no idea what to do with it. I lost the instruction booklet before I could fully read it. Any help with that?

I have the same coffee maker, i recently got it as a gift from my mom and still trying to figure out how to use it with Folgers coffee grounds but it seems to be flooding the coffee filter a bit and I’m not getting the amount of coffee I want out of it. Any chance I could get some help?
There could be an issue with the maker itself. If you put too many grounds in, that could overflow the basket.
My concern with this is the small spout. It needs to have a wider drip to saturate the grounds better.
I can tell you that the coffee doesn't drain out of the basket fast so it sits and absorbs into the grounds. It's really easy to have the coffee come out too strong if you don't measure correctly. I see your point though.
a pinch or two of salt to dry grounds will cut down on bitterness

Just bought mine. No manual. Called mr coffee. One on the way.
The manual is super helpful until you basically memorize how everything works and measurements. One thing I will say about the coffee measurements is that Tablespoons to water ratio is highly dependent on the beans and whether you hit strong or regular. We typically back off the beans a little because it gets bitter. Enjoy!

Did you only have 1 filter? Try less grounds. 10 T. Scoops for 12 cups is my ratio.

Make sure the pot is pushed in under the spring of the grounds holder thing. If thay spring isn't depressed it will not drip into pot
