Hi Daphne, We've had un - seasonally nice and fairly warm here in Quebec, we've had very little rain, although a chance of a storm November 30. More November - ish type weather, still wearing a light jacket. One of my new fav programs is Matlock with Cathy Bates as Matlock. Always enjoy ur videos, they are very relaxing, we were baking while listening to day. Can't wait to see ur finishing painting. Check out flannel lined jeans and cuddle duds as an under layer. Those Northerly’s that are coming are no joke. Yes. Walking will help your mood but protect your faces too😊 than you for the chat . Hang in there. It’s hard to move at any age and it gets harder as we age

I think the biggest thing is not being able to hang pictures. That’s usually the first thing I do in a space to make it feel like ‘home.’ Here, there’s almost zero wall space, and since it’s a rental, I don’t want to chance command strips pulling off paint. Thanks for watching!!

Hi Daphne, I'm in the Netherlands and cold rain and wind is a common factor in this part of Europe. Amazingly this last week we even had snow, but too much rain for it to settle. Glad to hear things are slowly getting settled over there.
A lot of food companies have done that. Dryers/Brewers ice. Ream, same price, less quantity. Butter in California is still expensive. Eggs have been a little less. Hopefully come spring you'll find a permanent place. As always, thanks for sharing your WIP. Back in the day when TAB soda was big, a friend of mine would fill her trunk up with cases when she went Oxnard, CA when she visited her parents. They had change to sacrine which she turned out to be allergic to. But down there they still had the old formula. Crazy. I work at a UPS Store, and we'll hold packages for mailbox holders for as long as needed. If it's going to be a while before you pick them up, just let them know so they don't return them after a month or so.

I live in the northeastern side of Washington state up by the Canadian border. We have been getting drizzle or flat out rain for weeks. Which is unusual. The western side has been hit with Bomb Cyclones

At the moment i haven't got any plans for black friday. But i am planning to buy a diamond painting soon. Only don't know wich it will be. Take care of yourself💕. Hey Daphne, another thing might be rain pants. They also make great wind breakers - keeps your heat in. They generally have zippers at ankles to pull on over your boots. Layers! MEC is the Canadian equivalent of REI their store brand is very good and affordable! I will wear a jacket I purchased in Canada more than 20 years ago - granted it has some permanent smudges and burn holes 🔥 from campfires, but was a good purchase. I wore it 500 miles hiking the AT.
Thanks for letting us know about how you can find out how donated money is dispersed. That is incredibly helpful in making decisions. I’ve usually donated to cancer and multiple sclerosis since I have personal experience from family members suffering from those.
I appreciate knowing that most of the $ I donate is actually going to someone in need, not just someone’s salary. The website even shows the top people/salaries at the charity - it’s pretty crazy what some people make working for a charity. Thanks for watching!!
We have black friday sales here in the UK but dont have thanksgiving. Actually our black friday sales here have been pretty much running at some stores all of November. We had snow here thia past week. The worst of it was yesterday (Saturday) but it warmed up so much in the evening and over night that it was all gone this morning. Black Friday was so much fun last year but I may actually be dreading it this year. There has been absolutely nothing on offer that has captured my heart the way I need for it to if I'm going to spend my time and money on it. I hope something will be released next week that I just have to have.

It's so neat to read about someone new begin to experience high quality diamond painting. I started with DAC because it was a Christmas gift. I thought all dp's were alike so I ordered a bunch of cheap kits and really struggled until someone like Daphne helped me navigate the territory.🥰

It’s raining here in Ontario as well no snow yet thank goodness. The reason why we have black Friday sales in Canada is because Canadian. We’re going to the US to go shopping, so Canada figured if we have black Friday sales here we keep Canadian shopping in Canada.
I am going to try not to buy anything for Black Friday. I will be moving to another state the 1st of the year and have plenty of diamond paintings to move 🤦. Glad you are doing good.

Insurances are not that long when you’re local, I always got mine the same day, specially tones who have apps, you can have your documents on the phone! Butter is really expensive in quebec… it’s around 7$ so I buy vegan butter from becel or President choice because it is usually less than 5$. To me the taste is the same. I know that many foods here will be diffrent even if it is supposed to be the same product because we have more laws who controls what can go in our food. Basically most of the time, we have less “crap” 😅 (less synthetic ingredients or transformed) so this is why the Kraft dinner is different for you, the ingredients are diffrents. Like the milk in here have many more regulations so it is a bit more expensive ect… I bought 2 DAC, but Ill stop there… budget is tight… and in one month I bought over 50 kits from budget company 😅

There seems to be nothing terribly exciting on the DP websites these days. My stash is not terribly large, but big enough to keep me going for 2025. My one grandson is a fantastic artist who just graduated cum laude from Philadelphia College of the Arts. I have had three of his works made into customs and I just love them. I'm thinking I'll have a few more made this year. I also advised him to contact all the DP companies to see if he could get a contract with one. Fingers crossed.
@ well according to the email I got last week they will not open the kits in stock to check each one so they will just keep selling their inventory. Translation: we will let the damaged kits land where they may. That’s not a very good business model imho.
wire transfers are a pain to do i hate doing them is paypal not easier for like internationally over here in uk they say it going to snow in our area but it hasent just icy cold

Not sure if that might have been what your husband heard?

I will definitely have to add some essential to my winter gear, but the new coat and boots alone have made a huge difference!

No Aldi's here, but there is a similar grocery store we keep forgetting to check out!
Tax Installments are due in Canada if you will own $3000 or more of tax when filing your tax return in April (less if you live in Quebec)

Skipping Black Friday at DAC-the pink line debacle has turned me off completely. I’ll wait til next year when it’s all straightened out.
