I, Nephi, having been born of goodly parents, therefore I was taught somewhat in all the learning of my father; and having seen many afflictions in the course of my days, nevertheless, having been highly favored of the Lord in all my days; yea, having had a great knowledge of the goodness and the mysteries of God, therefore I make a record of my proceedings in my days. Yea, I make a record in the language of my father, which consists of the learning of the Jews and the language of the Egyptians. And I know that the record which I make is true; and I make it with mine own hand; and I make it according to my knowledge". 1 Nephi 1-3 Hello friends, I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. The verses above are the first three verses in The Book of Mormon. I know this probably isn't the most ideal place to talk about religion but I really do want you to know that God loves you. You may not love Him or care about Him at all, but He still will continue to love you. You are a beloved son or daughter of God. He knows you personally and He truly and deeply desires for your happiness. He loves everyone who has every lived on this earth, with a perfect equal love regardless of their race, gender, ethnicity, faith and values and beliefs. The Lord loves you more than you can think or comprehend. "He inviteth them all to come unto him and partake of his goodness; and he denieth none that come unto him, black and white, bond and free, male and female; and he remembereth the heathen; and all are alike unto God, both Jew and Gentile" 2 Nephi. He is our loving, caring Heavenly Father. We are literally His children and creations. When we were in the womb, he knew about us" Jerimiah 4:5. He knitted us and we were created in His image. I testify to you that you and I are not a mistake. He knows the very moment when we stand and when we sit. He is familiar with all our ways and knows us personally who we are. The hairs on our very head are numbered. God loved us so much, He sent His Only Begotten Son for us, that we may be able to return and dwell in the presence of God again. The Lord has not forgotten about us even when it feels like He has. He will never forsake us. When we are happy, He and His angels rejoice alongside us. When we are sad, He heals us and lifts us up from our trials. He has always been there for us. He has always been our loving, compassionate Heavenly Father and God. Will we always be His children and people? I testify to you that God lives and that Jesus is the Christ. Both love you exceedingly and rejoice when you are happy. They both love you so much. They love you with a love unfeigned. They will never ever stop doing good unto you. I know that The Book of Mormon is true. "And when ye shall receive these things, I would exhort you that ye would ask God, the Eternal Father, in the name of Christ, if these things are not true; and if ye shall ask with a sincere heart, with real intent, having faith in Christ, he will manifest the truth of it unto you, by the power of the Holy Ghost". Moroni 10:4 I promise and testify to you, that if you will read The Book of Mormon, ponder on its message and ask God if it is not true, you will come to know of its truthfulness, whether its true or not true. Remember my friends that God loves you with all his heart, might mind, soul and strength. He wants you to be happy. He knows what you are going through and dealing with right now. He desires for you to return back to Him. Unfortunately, He has been misrepresented and seen as a cruel and angry God who anticipates for us to slip and writes down every mistake we make waiting to punish us by those who do not know or know Him fully. My friends, God has stored many opportunities and blessings for you. He is incredibly eager and desires with all His heart to bless you abundantly. He wants you to live with Him again. He only wants the best for you and your well being. He wants to experience everlasting joy and indescribable happiness in this life and in the life to come. He wants you to partake of His goodness and come and follow Him. The Lord does not care how early or late you decide to come unto Him. I testify to you that if you have strayed and wondered off the path that there is hope in Jesus Christ, The Savior of the world. The Lord accepts those who come unto Him whether your early, late or just in time who desire to change. The Lord will accept you wholeheartedly and forgive you if you are willing to change. The Lord will welcome you and will always be ready to embrace you with open arms. The Lord will lift us up in our trials and use us to bless the lives of those around us if we are willing to change. If you desire to learn more, you are always welcome to visit comeuntochrist.org. There you will learn more about The Church of Jesus Christ and our core beliefs and values. If you have taken the time to read The Book of Mormon and this comment, thank you. It takes a huge leap of faith and a lot of courage to muster enough faith to read in the Book of Mormon and to believe in something in a personage that you may never see in this lifetime. Although we may not be able to see God and Jesus Christ in this life, I testify to you that they are real. They do truly exist. I promise you that if you will pray to know of their existence, you will come to know whether they exist or have been made up. You are my friends. The Lord loves you and despite all our weaknesses, complaining, arguing, and shortcomings, he still loves us and will forgive us if we will humble ourselves before Him and diligently seek correction and do whatever is needed to repent. Remember that The Lord is always available to talk to through prayer 24/7. No question sounds too silly for Him. James wrote, "If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him" James 1:5. If you must know whether or not something is true or evil and deceptive, you can always pray to God. He will help you know what the truth is and what is not the truth. He will never be too busy to talk to. He will give you strength you need to overcome and conquer your temptations and will give you the strength you need to endure through your trials and afflictions. Paul said that The Lord will not give you temptations that you cannot resist, but that in your temptations, He will provide a way for you to resist, overcome and conquer them. He will provide a way. He wants to bless you and reward you abundantly. The Lord knows you and will not forget you. You are loved. You are utterly amazing. You have incredible potential. You are not forgotten or ever will be forsaken. You are special. You are unique. You are one of a kind. You have been reserved for this time and The Lord needs you on His side. It simply would not be the same without you. Thank you for your time.
Wow, this really is amazing... you catch prawns with baskets you made by your own hands from "nothing", make a fire from nothing, make the pot from nothing... but still you have more respect for the animal you eat than 5 star cheffs cooking in highly "civilized" posh restaurants that boil those suckers alive... You really are a rolemodel for a modern person! And as always an amazing display of skill, thanks for the video.
well, I mean a hundred years ago people said vivisection is ok, because animals dont have souls and their reactions to extreme pain are just mechanical, same as a machine. They only pretend to feel pain... BTW. pain is a pretty basic thing, its definitely not a "mental ability"... and it doesnt even matter if they feel pain or not, if anyone needs to say this, they are already doing something cruel and just dont want to think about it.
Prawn =/= lobster. Lobsters and other harmful bacteria naturally present in their flesh. Once the lobster is dead, these bacteria can rapidly multiply and release toxins that may not be destroyed by cooking. You therefore minimise the chance of food poisoning by cooking the lobster alive.
Wow, thats an even more cockmamie explanation... Really? You really think there are bacteria that can react in the matter of seconds after brain death occurs. The body cant even react to it yet, but the bacteria are already multiplying right? LOL - If you hit its brain and break off the central nerve chain, and throw it in the water, there is NO WAY for any bacteria to even register its dead before its already boiling. That is just not possible.
Crustaceans like lobster will start decaying very rapidly after dying, so it's desirable to cook and eat them as quickly after killing them as possible. Throwing the live lobster into boiling water will kill it, and start cooking it at the same time, which is optimal from that perspective. No risk at all is better than a little tiny eventual risk but don't misunderstand me I think too that it is cruel for the lobster.
so much potential in this! you could make shrimp-kabobs, shrimp creole, shrimp gumbo. Pan fried, deep fried, stir-fried. There's pineapple shrimp, lemon shrimp, coconut shrimp, pepper shrimp, shrimp soup, shrimp stew, shrimp salad, shrimp and potatoes, shrimp burger, shrimp sandwich. That- that's about it. p.s.: shrimp cocktail too!
Mohammed Hamza swear to god his next videos will be something like "aircraft made of wooden fiber and clay" or "ballistic missile made of rocks and boar hive"
Part of his success is that, because he doesn't speak at all, anyone anywhere will have the same benefit from watching his videos. There is no language barrier.
If you left the trap in there for a while, will multiple shrimp enter the trap or do they scare each other off? That might make it more efficient, as the trap could be left unattended while the yield increases.
Primitive Technology cheers for the vids, my 8yo son(and myself) loves everyone of them. Cheers from the Gold Coast. Any chance you can say hi to my son Damo.

I tried walking mostly bare feet for 8 months, after a couple of months It no longer mattered what I was walking on, gravel and tarmac felt almost the same.. In the end I no longer got cold on my feet in cold weather..
I was working on a remote mountain farm in Norway, I would always putt on shoes when going somewhere where there could be other people.. If you find walking barefoot in nature gross, then that's your problem
@@CoachDanielpt I'd argue that a small minority of people have gotten smarter, but most modern humans have gotten dumber. Really depends on who you look at.
I tried it last year because of this man. I went around the woods shirtless and with ought shoes, and I put charcoal under mky eyes and mud all over my body for camouflage and hikers spotted me and looked at me like I was crazy. Not joking, I tried to make a hut out of mud n shit and failed. I'm not planning on doing it again.
Yewty I bet he would have no problem smelting and metalworking but mining is hugely laborious. would need a whole village of people to do it unless maybe he makes explosives
Not necessarily. Mining now days is difficult but back when they had copper deposits in plain view, one could gather it easily. Just look for the green rock. Could be difficult now but I guess this is meant to be about primitive technology. I've seen documentaries about this. Copper was one of the things that took people out of the stone age and made large scale trade a thing. It's pretty easy to work with and one could make a copper knife or axe by himself with basic materials if he or she had the ore.
My grandmother told me, during the great depression, in Appalachians in WV, her older siblings would catch crayfish from the creek alongside the road and cook them right there to supplement their proyein supply. These skills aren't just for survival situations, but hard times as well.
Would be great buthe said himself those construction take weeks or month of work. I like his content to be like this also. Tho' if it can make him earn a living out of it, it's great !
I always feel inspired to do something outdoors when I see these videos. Everything I learn from watching these is so interesting and also something I can try to apply to my own time camping or if I'm somewhere I'm able to do the things in these amazing videos
Primitive Technology you should do a video where you ferment some sort of alcohol, maybe even distill it too. It would be cool to see how it was done millennia ago
The first alcoholic beverage (beer) was likely a grain soup/mash/stew, left out for another day, or maybe forgotten. Of course, when someone found it again, they were feeling very well for some time after consuming it, encouraging them to try and replicate it. Some say this is why humanity boomed when it did.
Specter most people ( I think ) would share resources,it’s just these pesky multinational megalomaniacs who run the planet seem hell bent on not allowing us poor people to live on it without their banking system, debt money and nuclear power plants to run their big cityscapes.
Bryce Whitehead You know money was invented so people could trade with others with something that always has value and is neutral. Ps. What you described was communism , a system that failed many Pps. No rich person is entitled to giving the poor money. Just because someone made better life choices than you and knows how economics work doesn't mean they should be penalised for your f*ck ups. Have a nice day
What a great time to post this.. this crap election had been piercing the life of me, but thanks to you i can enjoy the calm simple way you do things. You also leave the natural sound of your environment to fill my ears with a relaxing soundscape. Thank you truly!

i like his videos, i tried making that earth furnace it worked for the night but after a few hours the roof cracked and caved in but its a lot of fun better than sitting in front of a screen whole day
Either you need more fiber or you need to let the previous lower layers fully dry before adding more layers ontop. I'm sure that's why you had the issue with it caving, but lack of fiber is why it cracked.
It's easy to do once you have a bit of charcoal in the hole he is rubbing the stick in - charcoal catches fire easily. He must reuse that stick to make his fires quickly
are you implying that if you tube goes wrong the whole world will go to shit and they will be no jobs that he can have so he needs to live in a forest.

"Big waterfall" "Small waterfall" "Clear water" "Prawn" I just... i just imagine this huge shirtless guy pointing at the prawns with a neutral face and just saying "prawn" like a child would and I- i can't stop giggling ?!
dogeman I never said they were pointless. They were really helpfull. I just have a weird humour because i imagined the voice of a child pointing at everything XD it cracked me up
Any plans to start shrimp farming there? I think you can keep them in pretty small ponds so you don't have to wait for wild ones to stray your way. Also I think a primitive cooking section could be cool. Trying to wrest something yummy from the forest rather than just nutrition.
"Yummy" food is a luxury of modern times. Food in the past was bland and yes, purely for nutrition. There's really no place in the world where there are enough vegetables and herbs growing wild to make a meal that would be pleasing to the modern palate. In fact, just about everything we eat has been selectively bred over the centuries and does not even exist in the wilderness. The shrimp are a rare exception.
One guy here is saying that the food from the past is bland and that may be true compared to crazy processed things we have today, but there were still many herbs and spices - garlic, salt (near coasts or for trade), mustard seeds, tons of peppery plants. Also there were sweets like fruit and honey. Fruit like wild grapes that can be dried to raisins mixed with wild flours like acorn flour would probably be decently "tasty" to a sweet tooth although not pure sugar. I've personally made fish seasoned with wild garlic and lepidium peppergrass that was decently "tasty." I had a bird with wild peaches that was actually very good. It's true you wouldn't be making full hamburgers with all the traditional toppings and sauces from things in the woods, and some things like salt and cheese are hard to get unless you're in certain places, but it's entirely possible to make grilled fish that tastes like restaurant grilled fish or to make some sort of fruit biscuits. Also it's very easy to fry if you kill a fatty animal like a possum or a raccoon - these are basically walking bacon with over a liter of loose lard per animal. Being a total vegan in the woods would suck to an extent, but if you can eat any type of food it's not infeasible to make appetizing wild foods.
Nordmann Schlangenfeder This channel is not really about what is feasible for one guy in the woods but what one guy can achieve without complex metal tools or help. Naturally any attempt to farm would at some point attract animals. But since he already has a house and fences I really don't see a problem in principle.
survival is more about mentality than anything else really...prioritize your needs: water, shelter, food.....adapt that priority to the climate as needed (in cold climates, shelter becimes the top....in a rainforest, water is easily obtainable so it moves down....)once those are covered, be creative. look at what's available, and the things you could do with those resources. When Lost was on TV, one of the first things that really bugged me: they TORCHED THE WRECKAGE. all beause they were too squemish to deal with dead bodies... by burning the wreckage, they elminated a HUGE resource that would have been IMMENSELY useful: thosands of feet of cabiling, miles of wiring (aka, rope and string) aluminum struts that could be reworked into usuable tools or shelter pieces with nothing more than a couple of solid rocks to use as a hammer and anvil. (note, i didn't say "easy"....it would take a LOT of effort....but it's DO-ABLE...) Aluminum sheets that can be reworked into shelter, and cooking utensils, or water storage.. It was a trans-oceanic flight so there would be SOME food, which would prevent starvation until greater supplies could be obtained.... look at these vids....he's a purist, so makes it COMPLETELY from what's around him, inculding making spining his own cording from bark fibers; imagine for a moment how much easier some of his projects might have been if he had something as simple as a a roll of twine/string? A roll of 550 paracord is a gold mine in a survival situation; when i was an avid hiker/backer, i had a 100' roll of it always in my gear...

As far as I know this is the only real primitive technology channel on UA-cam I have mad respect for this guy
I think it is the only genuine one.
I love the aesthetic of these videos. No speaking, just the sounds of nature and his interaction with everything. It reminds me of my childhood days building fishing huts to camp in on inner Stradbroke Island. You cannot get more alone than this... and that is a wonderful thing.
Just in case you didn’t know, the cc explains what he’s doing. I do agree though, the aesthetic of the videos are great.
I know, I love it for the fact that its so peaceful and relaxing to watch..no noisy talking and yapping on, just this guy doing what he's doing and quietly sharing it with us. there's a few UA-camrs out there that could learn a lesson from him.
Literally ASMR
I, Nephi, having been born of goodly parents, therefore I was taught somewhat in all the learning of my father; and having seen many afflictions in the course of my days, nevertheless, having been highly favored of the Lord in all my days; yea, having had a great knowledge of the goodness and the mysteries of God, therefore I make a record of my proceedings in my days. Yea, I make a record in the language of my father, which consists of the learning of the Jews and the language of the Egyptians.
And I know that the record which I make is true; and I make it with mine own hand; and I make it according to my knowledge". 1 Nephi 1-3
Hello friends, I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

Next time on Primitive Technology, man builds exact replica of the Eiffel Tower.

Join me next time as I build a skyscraper twice as tall as the Burj Khalafia simply by rubbing dead leaves together.
And as always an amazing display of skill, thanks for the video.
well I mean, they don't have the mental ability to feel pain
well, I mean a hundred years ago people said vivisection is ok, because animals dont have souls and their reactions to extreme pain are just mechanical, same as a machine.
Lobsters and other harmful bacteria naturally present in
their flesh. Once the lobster is dead, these bacteria can rapidly
multiply and release toxins that may not be destroyed by cooking. You
therefore minimise the chance of food poisoning by cooking the lobster
alive.
Crustaceans like lobster will start
decaying very rapidly after dying, so it's desirable to cook and eat
them as quickly after killing them as possible.
Throwing the live
lobster into boiling water will kill it, and start cooking it at the
same time, which is optimal from that perspective. No risk at all is better than a little tiny eventual risk but don't misunderstand me I think too that it is cruel for the lobster.
Best bit about his videos is he tells us all we need to know without saying a word.
so much potential in this! you could make shrimp-kabobs, shrimp creole, shrimp gumbo. Pan fried, deep fried, stir-fried. There's pineapple shrimp, lemon shrimp, coconut shrimp, pepper shrimp, shrimp soup, shrimp stew, shrimp salad, shrimp and potatoes, shrimp burger, shrimp sandwich. That- that's about it.

Primitive Technology I love you and your sexy body
Primitive Technology why did you delete my comment ?
Isn't it crayfish, not a shrimp?
what about using a bait like they do in lobster, crayfish and crab traps?

Primitive Technology 2020: How to smelt copper using a blown furnace & how to build your own castle
Yewty I bet he would have no problem smelting and metalworking but mining is hugely laborious. would need a whole village of people to do it unless maybe he makes explosives
He should try to get silicon from sand to make some computer chips 😂
and then it rains
Not necessarily. Mining now days is difficult but back when they had copper deposits in plain view, one could gather it easily. Just look for the green rock. Could be difficult now but I guess this is meant to be about primitive technology.
I've seen documentaries about this. Copper was one of the things that took people out of the stone age and made large scale trade a thing. It's pretty easy to work with and one could make a copper knife or axe by himself with basic materials if he or she had the ore.
Out of mud!
My grandmother told me, during the great depression, in Appalachians in WV, her older siblings would catch crayfish from the creek alongside the road and cook them right there to supplement their proyein supply. These skills aren't just for survival situations, but hard times as well.

Primitive Technology you should do a video where you ferment some sort of alcohol, maybe even distill it too. It would be cool to see how it was done millennia ago
YES!
The first alcoholic beverage (beer) was likely a grain soup/mash/stew, left out for another day, or maybe forgotten. Of course, when someone found it again, they were feeling very well for some time after consuming it, encouraging them to try and replicate it. Some say this is why humanity boomed when it did.

you could put dry leaves in it to prevent cracking
Either you need more fiber or you need to let the previous lower layers fully dry before adding more layers ontop. I'm sure that's why you had the issue with it caving, but lack of fiber is why it cracked.

The shrimp are a rare exception.
akirak is right, ingredients were very bland back then, especially the herbs and veggies
Björn check AlmazanKitchen chanel, very natural way of cooking food ;D

This channel is not really about what is feasible for one guy in the woods but what one guy can achieve without complex metal tools or help.
Naturally any attempt to farm would at some point attract animals.
But since he already has a house and fences I really don't see a problem in principle.
As a blind person, thanks for keeping the captions because i dont know whats going on
How does that make a difference?

when I travel by plane, I always think that the plane can fall and we will survive on an island with tips I learned from youtube. Am I the only one?
nope...same here
User0104134245 same here
If your plane crashes, I don't think *island* survival will be your problem.
User0104134245 yep me to
survival is more about mentality than anything else really...prioritize your needs: water, shelter, food.....adapt that priority to the climate as needed (in cold climates, shelter becimes the top....in a rainforest, water is easily obtainable so it moves down....)once those are covered, be creative. look at what's available, and the things you could do with those resources.
I love how he gives them a quick kill before boiling them, so humane :)

Thank you for letting us now, penile pigtail punisher.
Can we just all be impressed that this guy is the only You Tuber to never have a bad comment and the only people disliking him are the trolls only here to do that and not actually watch the video.
I didn't get any notification nor it's shown on my recommeded list. WTF UA-cam?
His videos are a must watch.
Hey thanks for replying. Love your channel, been watching since the first video.
It is unusual. Your videos were always shown on my recommended list as soon as it was uploaded. Thanks for the suggestion though...
Under the vid ^ up there is a small link to 'Primitive Technology'. Under it is "Subscriber'. Beside that is a bell icon. Click that & check the box, then 'Save'. You should get Notifications then.
Go on the Primitive Technology page and rite next to the subscribe there's a bell. If the bells set then you'll get instant notifications. Least that's how it shows up on iPad.
