This was an excellent video until the "released" fish were shown swimming into the trap. No way were that many fish flowing into that thing that fast. Great scenery, pretty girl, interesting concept, bad finish.
I've done this spiral. Didnt catch any big ones like she does over 4 days. Juat smaller stuff and a turtle. The faster the water the better it works. The inrush current acts like Tesla valve.
That's genius. But what happens to the rocks formation after a while? Do they get dislodged or washed away with the change of tides or whatever and you have to form them all over again or what? On another note. What an attractive woman.

I served in the US Military and I've seen in other countries where they do similar to this, the eggs/Roe she crushed created the smell in the water to attract the fish. Some countries they do the same but with bamboo to make fences in the water to divert fish into a cage area, it works if you know how to do it. Its illegal here in the USA.
why not show when the fish goes in? to prove that it's not a lie, the camera angle is facing away from the fish entrance, so it's doubtful.. I assume the fish is not from the river or was put in on purpose 😊

i'm sure something similar would work. You don't need as much of a spiral. Just a diversion from the stream into the trap in such a way that the fish would need to swim against the current to exit the trap.....and some mechanism of the trap to make it easy to net the fish without them easily avoiding the net. this video was clearly staged but I think the general concept is sound. Also, if you had access to netting material, you could create a small barrier in the stream that narrowed and then placed the net at the outlet so that the water freely flowed but any fish choosing that direction in the stream would be cause in the net. even that handheld net would work.

Itbis a tributary stream connected either to the Mekong River or some other river that has ebb and flow according to tides. In VN the Mekong would raise 5 or 6 ft at high tide and at low tide our engine propellers would be churning mud.

This is a fake video. The video never shows the fish entering the spiral. To the side of the spiral, you will see that no other fish are passing by at all. It would appear that someone is dubbing. Fish Get the entrance to the spiral, and that's why they don't have the camera angled.At the entrance to the spiral.

I see people in the comments saying those are pre-caught fish. Ion know now, the way she got that trap layered, the upstream pushing the fish forward in the beginning set of the trap. And as you can see the upstream goes all the way up the trap and you can see sum fish trying to swim against the stream but the force to strong to push against and its pushing them into the trap cause those type of fish don't have the power or acceleration to swim against the stream. In my opinion I think that's genius
You can't do this in the US. The game warden fine you for almost every game fish. This idea would work but I would not use it on a public stream or anything like that.

I see people in the comments saying those are pre-caught fish. Ion know now, the way she got that trap layered, the upstream pushing the fish forward in the beginning set of the trap. And as you can see the upstream goes all the way up the trap and you can see sum fish trying to swim against the stream but the force to strong to push against and its pushing them into the trap cause those type of fish don't have the power or acceleration to swim against the stream. In my opinion I think that's genius
Had fish traps in KSA but were box shape with a triangle “trap entrance “ . Never saw a fish swim in but collected many next day.well done!
You can't do this in the US. The game warden fine you for almost every game fish. This idea would work but I would not use it on a public stream or anything like that.
