Last December, my mom officially passed away. For a while, she was very unwell. Terrible migraines, weird dreams, and overall didn't feel well. After a few trips to the ER, she wasn't getting better. Nor could they figure out what's wrong. We got worried when my mom didn't recognize my dad. So we called some paramedics. After checking her, they took her to the hospital. We also kept in contact with my aunt and uncle. Then, one day my aunt called with unfortunate news.
My mom tested positive for a disease that has no treatment or cure. I can't remember, or spell, what it was. But the abbreviation is CJD I think. It's related to Mad Cow Disease. The reason there's no cure is because it's so new and rare. So it's not fully understood. Because of this, she didn't have long left. I made sure to visit her at least once despite it being terrible for my mental health. And when she passed away, we made sure to properly mourn her loss. Some of her work friends came to our little gathering to say good bye as well.
So, as my final good bye to her, I made this video. To give a final happy birthday. While she may be gone, I'll treasure all my memories of her. Also, I picked lilacs cause she loved them. And she hates lavender. It was a small joke between us 💜
