Building a multiplex Slingshot

In this video I build a Slingshot out of a board of multiplex (plywood)! Every step is shown in time lapse. I always tried to work so that the camera has a good view and therefore did some things a bit awkward, I hope you like it nevertheless ;)

Great video. Is multiplex the same as plywood?

Yes multiplex is a kind of plywood with good quality and great strength.

You can use many types of wood. Strength is not so important but hard an dense woods can be sanded to a nice finish which is not so easy with softer wood.

I want to build a slingshot with the launcher held at ninety degrees to the hands instead of parallel. What advantage comes with each layout?

What exactly do you mean?
Do you mean the kind of band position? Look for OTT (Over The Top) or TTF (Thru The Fork)
I like OTT for my style of shooting.

You can find it online. Search for "Thera Band". I use the golden color, it has good thickness.
Maybe you can also find some good rubber at a local sports store or gym. Many types of rubber bands are usable. Feel free to experiment but be safe!
