I have no problems with the silence in this video. You are obviously comfortable in your own head. Could you say the name of the knot for the pouch attachment? ie is there a regular rope version of it that can be googled?

Ok - 130 m/s with 8mm steel: blue Theraband, 27 cm length, tapered from 24mm to 9mm, two layers per side, very light and small pouch. Shooting temperature around 20°C. Draw it out to the maximum - fast release! Have fun!
great vid mate. i have put these on my chinese slingshot. the bands work very well and gives me enough power for hunting later on, after i get some target practice done of corse. i put a vid up today of my polar bear slingshot with the bands on. i'm getting about 250fps with a 9.5mm steel ball. i'm very weak so can only pull them back to just past my neck so i'm sure if i was able to use the full pull id get 300fps. i used 2 bands per side of thera band black. great work mate
What is the longevity of the band with the way u connect it to the pouch? According to my experiences, the connection of the pouch and the flat band is very important because my flat bands r always worn out and ripped near the connection. My gold therabands will last about 400 shots.
the reason most shooters taper the bands is to make it easier to draw whilst still providing a high velocity. Saunders provide twin tapered bands on the wrist rocket pro for this same reason.

Actually I shoot only the blue band. Because it is very easy to get a speed of around 130 m/s with this stuff. The golden band (much thicker than black and blue) is better for heavier ammo. I think there is no "best band": For my purpose ( high speed and a low draw weight) I prefer the thinner band (blue and black). The different colors seem to easily show the differences in the thickness and strength of the bands - a marketing thing from "Hygenic" - the producer of Theraband.
No, it's to do with how quick the rubber contracts not the draw weight, for light ammo,8mm steel for example black and blue are best as they zip the ammo along very quickly, for heavier ammo like 12mm lead u want theraband gold as it will work best.

The string through the loop to grab the small ties when securing the band to the pouch is much much easier.

been useing black latex from simple shot 12in a pack $525 there very powerfull fast light bands they last a long time shooting out of a scout frame
I buy it on ebay - usually a whole roll (45 meters). So it is not THAT expensive, around 2 EUR per meter.
