That's a pretty nice looking goped sport, I want to find a set of billet wheels like that for my sport. You should get the g23lh running and then RIP it off and put an g290rc. Makes a huge power difference.

Thanks, but I’m my opinion, the paint is ass. If I had the money, I would like to sandblast and powder coat it purple or pink or something. Also the front forks are garbage because I’ve heard they can bend, so the newer tube style forks should be better. But at least the older sports have the U kick stand, I like that. If you’re going to get one billet wheel, for either the front or the rear because they are expensive, I would get a rear bead lock wheel first. In theory, the bead lock keeps the tire more stable or something. The g23lh runs fine, in fact I think it even has 140 psi of compression, it’s just that the throttle cable setup at the carburetor needs to be figured out. I just bought a new throttle cable for it. Maybe I would like to port it at some point. A g290rc would be nice, if I had the money lol, but I like the g23lh. It’s a good engine for me, so far. My sport had the stock spindle on it, then I went to a .710 with a 3rd bearing support (which sucked), and I also just ordered a DDM Black magic .750 (3/4 inch) spindle. That’s probably the biggest I want to go with this g23lh.

@@rabbitfootedkitty1339 after you play around with the lh, you should get a rovan 29cc. I bought one for mine it was $115 shipped and I have had no complaints about it. It Runs super good and is way more powerful than an lh or g2d. I do like the lh engines though because they are super durable and reliable but they just dont have the power like the rc style engines do.

@@rabbitfootedkitty1339 if you want to do a backyard paint job on the thing you can get a product called "Aircraft paint stripper" to remove all the old paint and then scuff up the frame with a red scotch brite pad and repaint it and if you look around you can probally find a shop that will powder coat it for under $200

@@briang4470 I just tore down the g23lh a couple of nights ago with my friend. I thought the crank bearing were shot, but the crankshaft was indeed broken in half. In the process of taring the engine down, when I was trying to get the flywheel off, I cracked the flywheel side crankcase half. My g23lh is practically useless now because it isn't worth it to buy a $60 crankcase and a $40 crankshaft, but my friend, Frank, in California, has a g23lh that I want to trade my cy29rc (that I stole from my Rovan Baja 5b for my Sport) for. I want to make this trade for another inferior g23lh because I wanted to try porting it, but I lost the chance, especially when I broke the crankcase, trying to remove the flywheel. I see a lot of porting potential in the g23lh because the cylinders and the crankcase are heavily mismatched. I believe, through port matching the beginning of the transfers on the cylinder to the crankcase and with some other basic porting, the g23lh can make some more power. I want to try this.

@@briang4470 Appearance is nice, but it's not my priority right now. My priority is to get a gp460 for my gsr40. After talking with a professional small engine porter by the name of HaulinBuilt, on Instagram, he says a stock or lightly ported gp460 makes more power than a fully built g43l-d/g430rc engine. However, maybe I should focus on one scooter/project at a time.
I got a short video of a full throttle downhill run with my Rovan Baja 5b cy290rc engine swapped onto my sport, look forward to that.
