I took delivery of a new model 3 in march of 2020, now have 67k miles on it, about 12k of that are 500 mile trips and longer, and can tell you it is by far the best automobile of any kind that I have ever owned, and I'm 60 yo.
Terrific choice Jordan. Two years ago, there were better options. The refresh has moved the goal posts and put the standard back on the TesM3. It is so good of a choice for most drivers. Thanks for the video. I enjoyed watching.
14:15 Alpine has a system that drops into Tesla, and includes a sub for base models that dont include a sub. you may wish to give them a call and see if they will work with the new vehicles as well.
I bought a Highland RWD LR. I would love to see a cold range test, maybe 25-30F. It has been handling great in winter with snow tires. A video about FSD and premium connectivity would be awesome.
@@AaronStarkLinuxshe said she quit in August and wanted to work on other projects. She doesn’t stick with anything long. She was at ev go before that. I like her but people come and go on this channel. We got Jordan back. Max is better for law school
future pod cast suggestion: EV battery/charging concepts explained. 1. battery capacity of an electric vehicle (EV) 2. Electric vehicle (EV) battery efficiency 3. electric vehicle battery charging curve. 4. Miles per KW. Best practices for these concepts. 15-25 minute podcast. thank you.
Jordan, seeing how Tesla keeps to economies of scale, the wiring harness in the back, 99% chance it has wiring for the subwoofer making it much easier to install one, check it out and congratulations on you new set of wheels.
I’ve got hundreds of thousands of miles in several generations of Prius but this car is making me really consider trading my 2024 in. I love Teslas but their range wasn’t quite enough for me for my cross country trips. This one seems to have enough range that the extra time stopped won’t be a deal breaker.
I picked up a new 3 performance, incredible performance. Punches way way above its price class. Insane mode sounded silly until you turn it on. *insane*
Jordan, I would be interested to see what audio upgrade options become available for the Model 3 RWD. I could not find any good options, so I went with an AWD model. Tesla refused to activate their premium audio components in software if I had bought and installed them. It would made good video content to do a nice audio upgrade, IMO.
Does the rwd m3 have the exact same features as the awd, aside from the drivetrain? IIUC the old lfp base model did not have the same sound system as the long range.
I have a family member that just leased a Tesla Model 3 LR RWD in Washington State for less than $200/mo with $0 due at signing. It's a fantastic bargain and an absolute no-brainer at that price.
I would love to participate in a debate with Jordan on apple car play/Android auto if ever looking for a viewer to participate haha. Model Y, Mach-E owner, with access to Ev9, R1T, and Chevy Volt via family. Also work in the tech industry :)
Since the new model EV6 will deliver soon, I just got a very low price on a 2024 EV6-GT 24 month lease with zero money down. My Florida dealer had over $17K for incentives off MSRP.
10:09 "when driving less than 50 miles per day, who cares about efficiency?" -- Answer: Efficiency still matters because it lowers your electric bill, and also is less strain on the grid and less time spent at DC chargers. Also, anti-EVers seem to think EVs contribute more carbon than ICE vehicles. They are wrong, but the more inefficient the EV, the closer they are to being right.
Speaking of terrible stereotypical car dealership experience- we just got a used 2022 M 3 from a dealership- awful experience. It took is 26 days to get the car from the time we signed the paperwork buying it. It arrived with a flat tire, fogged up rear tail light, rock chip in windshield (complete with 1”radius cracking), a broken and detached power trunk strut, wreaking of cigarette smoke, driver and passenger door hinge problems, and a giant melted candy cane stuck in the frunk. We have had it for 30 or so days now, maybe a bit longer, and still don’t have the bill of sale to get the car registered and plated. What a terrible experience. Not sure if saving a few grand is worth the hassle and frustration.
@ 4 : 0 9 microwave on wheels my arse can’t cook a 3 minute supreme It’s simply the BBBEST vehicle ever made. It’s a never before seen EPIC technological MASTERPIECE laptop on wheels that in 6 months WILL DRIVE ITSELF!!! U got too many friends JORDAN
Microwave 😂. I have a Model 3. 2022 Rwd. Made in China. Battery made by CATL. I’m intrigued how cheap this car is in America. It’s like twice as dear in Sweden and Europe. But still much cheaper than Volvo in the long run.
I wish it had V2L. Seems like a waste not being able to use the big battery as a backup for the home in an emergency. Only Cybertruck has it, but it won't even fit in my garage.
I just picked up one this weekend on a two year lease. I love it! In truth, I wanted a Model Y, but I refuse to give Elon my money. Glad I got the Equinox.
My blazer EV is a new for 2024 with a $56k MSRP and the Bose sound upgrade and it sounds like a uhaul van audio system. No power, speakers are trash. No sub , no equalizer or DSP. GM is a disaster.
He's an automotive enthusiast rather than just an EV person. Most of the EV only blowhards are just Elon simps and aren't into cars in general, and a lot of them are insufferable.

Ditto, 2018 with 133k miles and zero issues.

I just ordered one myself 😆
17:56 Car Camping = YES. Similar to Bryan Hauer would be great
Great show

I have a feeling the sub amp will just pull the input from the door speakers on the non premium system. Hopefully someone will do it soon.
Welcome aboard Isaiah. Also, what happened to Francie? Have a great weekend.
That's a good question. It kinda looks like they ended the relationship and she went separate ways...
Francie was too good and polished to not do her own thing I believe
She went Vinfast!
@@enoughofthis Vinfast is great

EV6 owner. Software is...not good. But I really don't notice it in day to day driving. Android Auto is really helps with that flaw

14:10 the best thing I bought for my TesM3 was a mat finish screen protector that got rid of fingerprints.
Would like to see regen stability in winter, but you could get the S3XY buttons which I have and enable custom regen settings for winter driving.
It is going to be super interesting to compare the new super efficient Mercedes CLA to Jordan's car when it becomes available in 2025.
Congratulations, Jordan
Isaiah is brilliant as the host. Absolutely great to see the channel back.
Thank You Anthony! If you have any suggestions for me or things you'd like to see please let me know.

S3XY Knob is a must-have accessory! Speaking of accessories, Dave has one that puts CarPlay in his Model 3! 😂

A cold weather range test on all of the model 3's, just like your most recent model 3 range test with all of the variants.
3D Maxspider floor mats
Accessories, Mattress and Car camping setup, floor mats inc frunk and back cargo and rear seat back covers, Burger King crown wrap, etc.
At some point, perhaps test the Comma 3X, as an alternative ADAS

Tuxmat all-season floor mats.
Repost or am I having deja vu?
😉 Probably just deja Vu

Trailer park cars, worst dealerships. Congrats
I honestly did Not See a tesla fan rushing out to buy a tesla.
Isaiah sounds sooo much better in this episode (new mic?)
Love the content guys.
Thanks
Thanks! Same mic, just exported differently. Getting better everyday.

The long range AWD is only $1k more. It's a better deal.

Coming to Tesla cars next year, I heard.
Equinox EV is the best value car for the money. Dont go by MSRP. They are always discounted

My guy rambled a straight 5 minutes flat
what happened to frank? aka francie
👍👍
It's like Jordan has taken over the Out of Spec channels. It's a bad dream. 😁

How did you remove the swastikas from the doors?
Are you the one that painted swastikas on their doors?
I am stunned and disappointed all this time Jordan selected to drive ICE vehicles instead of BEVs. Very sad. Was he really an EV advocate or imposter.
He's an automotive enthusiast rather than just an EV person.
Most of the EV only blowhards are just Elon simps and aren't into cars in general, and a lot of them are insufferable.
Based on current events, I will never purchase anything that Elon Musk was involved in.
Turbocharged miata, lmao!
Did he really say that's a substitute to the performance...
