  • I had a business trip in Washington DC at the end of the Oct and after that I have an extra weekend to spend. Having visited DC's national mall area for many times, I decided to do a fall color hunting in the nearby Shenandoah National Park, which is just about one and half hour drive from DC.
Skyline Drive, which is the main road in Shenandoah National Park, is a picturesque roadway that stretches for 105 miles along the crest of the Blue Ridge Mountains in Virginia, USA. During the fall season, this scenic drive transforms into a breathtaking display of nature's vibrant colors, making it one of the most popular destinations for leaf-peeping enthusiasts. The drive offers numerous overlooks and pull-offs, each providing sweeping vistas of the Shenandoah Valley on one side and the Piedmont region on the other. From these vantage points, visitors can witness the layers of mountains, valleys, and rolling hills, all drenched in the warm hues of autumn.
This video gives you an idea what the drive and scenes look like from my blended footages and photo shots.
