    Great bikes just not available in UK which is a pity. New laws and increasing taxes etc on big bikes are killing them here as affordable transport or weekend hobby so these machines would be great.

      Different bikes for different markets. That joke is old and lame. Theyre not fast by any means compared to other brands around the world but ive owned a few indian made bikes and theyve been nothing but reliable and fun for ripping around on obviously not going to win any races but for the money theyre great and perfect for beginners or daily commuters

    Greetings from India! Interceptor owner here. The feeling the 648 parallel twin gives you is second to none. I get mental therapy on my morning trails around the countryside on it. Whenever people ask me why I chose it, I simply give them an offer to take a ride and assure that they'll have all their questions answered. lol

    I would go as far to say the RE Interceptor will go down in history as a very significant bike for many reasons. The style is epic and the engine and gearbox are perfectly suited for this bike. I have owned and ridden countless bikes over the past 40 years. HD, Honda, Yamaha, etc... never have I enjoyed riding a bike as much as the RE Interceptor 650. I will be purchasing a new RE Classic 350 very soon.

    I have a workmate with one of the Yamaha RZF R15 v4 and its a cool little bike , looks sweet , I am trying to scab a ride off it ,,, and if I take my darlings VFR250 to work , I am sure he will ride that , he is a little afraid of the CFMoto ,, understandable as he is only 17 and been riding 10 months , on his P's .
    But I have ridden with him on his Yamaha up to the set of lights by work ( about 1km ) and yes Vinney it's not slow at all , a perfect commuter bike .

    Jawa are only sold India & fit & finish isn't great or not as good as R.E.Also Jawa is formerly Russian company & been Indian for many decades.The Jawa makes good power but mainly due to big Radiator the same radiator to be used on BSA Goldstar if ever released.Jawa,Yezdi also copies R.E & Triumph in their designs but just throw a radiator in for easy power.Yezdi Scrambler the Himmy competition is from Jawa also & looks good but fit & Finnish let's them down & don't perform as well as the Himalayan.
    (My neighbors Reilly Elf car is missing a radiator haha) it's a Pity they couldn't slot the radiator between the rails & have it thinner like a Triumph for a nice cleaner look.I have seen a lot of reviews between Yezdi scrambler vs Himmy & Jawa vs Meteor,Classic & 9 out 10 R.E win even though they slower but made better .
    I definitely would of put KTM as number 2 above Jawa,Yezdi company.
    .

    • @ruahinesrider
      @ruahinesrider 2 роки тому +2

      There's a reason they not exported cause won't pass quality control so are Indian home market.Fit & finish is rough like on the Yezdi Scrambler bars not symmetrical not in the class of Himalayan standards.

    Vinnie, I like both #2 and #1-both are smashing bikes! The Jawa is insteresting. However, the Interceptor has to be the best bike out of India. I'm debating on whether to get an Interceptor or a Classic 350 to keep my Meteor company... :)

    • @roadblastmedia
      @roadblastmedia  2 роки тому

      Cheers mate! Yeah They really know how to make a cool classic in India! And i would go an Interceptor if you can mate! After riding both the Classic and the Meteor they feel very similar but i kinda slightly prefer the Meteors riding position so the Interceptor would be a nice contrast and also good to have a bit more power for long distance trips!

    • @markymarknj
      @markymarknj 2 роки тому +1

      @@roadblastmedia that's the way I was leaning. The Meteor and Classic share the same engine, so even though they have different rear wheels and different ECU programming, they'd be more similar than different. Besides, I just LOVE the Interceptor's looks! ATM, the local dealer has one in Baker Express, which I think looks cool. I could also go for the Mark II or Ventura Blue one... :)

    • @markymarknj
      @markymarknj 2 роки тому +1

      @@roadblastmedia what I might do is wait for the Super Meteor to become available here in the US. It has the splendid parallel twin engine of the Interceptor and Continental GT, but it looks like it'll have a riding position similar to the Meteor's. As an older guy, I'm finding I like cruisers, and can think of nothing better than RE's upcoming sporty cruiser, the Super Meteor!

    • @roadblastmedia
      @roadblastmedia  2 роки тому

      @@markymarknj yeah mate thats a great idea! I cant wait to ride one of those either!

    • @markymarknj
      @markymarknj 2 роки тому +1

      @@roadblastmedia I can't, either! Unfortunately, we'll be among the last in the world to get the Super Meteor. Judging by the looks of the bike, it'll be worth waiting for.
      One reason I didn't go to cruisers was because the vast majority of them are overweight and don't handle well. There have been a handful of bikes that went against that grain, e.g. the Kawasaki Vulcan S, but they're the exception to the rule. RE's Super Meteor looks like it'll be a sporty cruiser, which is the kind of cruiser that I like... :)

    Back in the days when I was 5 or 6 years old we only see the yamaha rx 100 then in the late 2000s we get the bajaj discover and bajaj pulsar. Crazy that in the last 10 years the bike community has grown so much.
    Today as soon as you stepped out of the house into the main road you are bound to spot a z900 or a suzuki gsxr 750.
