The effort these guys put in to the writing is second only to the TONE. The vocals, the guitars, bass, drums, they just all sound absolutely perfect. That's what hard work gets you. Great job lads.
As beautiful as the studio version was at that point, the screams there just accentuate the passion in the lyrics. I love both but yeah, this version was next level.

Incredible. I appreciate so much that you recorded Portals. I saw you play in 2016, and and I was instantly hooked. You opened for Megadeth. The other opening acts I wanted to hurry up and get off the stage. I wanted you guys to just keep going (and I was about to finally see Megadeth play live - one of my all time favorite bands for decades). Your performance turned my brain from impatiently waiting for Megadeth to being totally wrapped in the sound of your music. You guys are INCREDIBLE.
I've been listening to the whole album on repeat for two weeks now, and I've had time to go through each of the original versions too. This is phenomenal. Every track is either studio album quality or higher, and it all includes the power you all bring in live situations (can't wait for that again in person).
