- Governor Wes Moore signed Senate Bill One into law Tuesday.
The bill greatly limits where legal gun owners, who have a wear and carry permit, can legally carry their guns.
Immediately after, the NRA filed a lawsuit.
Now, a Severn man is protesting the law in a different way.
J'Den McAdory has been walking the streets of his neighborhood, armed with an AR15.
“I’m not for banning any carry. “I don’t think people know that you can openly carry an AR," said McAdory.

It's clearly a reality that, despite efforts to restrict and document public access to firearms, there is a subset of the american nationality that for whatever reason becomes hellbent on targetting the most vulnerable in our society. Children are by american law required to attend some sort of education, with most being forced into public schools. While the old adage "an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure" still holds relevancy manifested by gun control, clearly throwing up our hands and wishing thoughts and prayers while THE LITERAL FUTURE OF AMERICA is used as target practice by societal scum is not working anymore. There need to be steps taken to deter would-be school shooters, and locking down while they have free reign of the campus to hunt for their targets while the police arrive has been our only in-the-moment response for decades. Calls for tighter gun control, bans on specific weapons/gun parts (high-cap magazines, bump stocks), more thorough background checks do nothing to change the mindset of somebody intent on doing harm, nor does it affect any mass shooting in the moment of its occurance.
If a would-be shooter has to face a gunbattle to access defenseless targets during a "take as many with me as I can" sort of mass shooting they are going to not risk their rampage ending before it has even begun.

I’m not a gun owner. I’m just an observer. The constant adding of new laws to make legally acquired guns harder to get to curb crimes committed with illegally acquired guns never ceases to tickle me. Makes me think the goal isn’t to end crime at all; it’s to make paths to tyranny easier because no one will be armed other than those the government can dispatch for their own interest
Think about it this way... The left keeps trying to ban public carry in more and more places. A law abiding, carrying, gun owner will then have to leave their gun in their car more and more in order to abide by the restrictions. In crime ridden areas, the biggest source of non-business theft is car break-in smash and grabs. The biggest target for thieves besides straight money is a gun.
TL;DR - These politicians want even more gun theft by making law abiding gun owners inherently more at risk of their gun being stolen from their car(s).

I use to live in the Forestville/Suitland, Maryland, area decades ago. I'm glad that I didn't move back there considering their draconian gun laws. A lot of these gun control laws have no impact on criminals or the mentally ill and legislators don't seem to want to address the real problem.

The Second Amendment doesn't say anything about guns either. It just says "arms." Why can't people arm themselves with explosives, chainsaws, spears, grenades, anthrax spores, etc.?

That bill that was signed into law will do nothing to criminals. That’s the problem criminals not law abiding citizens. The governor is wrong on this while. He’s just trying to please the crowd. But he’s doing it the wrong way. I reached out to the governor before with no response. I reached out to Hogan before and someone got in contact with me.
Last I checked the constitution Clearly states all Americans have a right to keep and bear arms nothing in the constitution states you can take rights away from americans and if someone is deamed so dangerous the constitution shouldn't apply to them then they should be imprisoned for life but if they are not imprisoned because they're not deemed to dangerous then the constitution applies to them remember If you allow them to take the rights away from some Americans you open the door for them to take rights away from all Americans like they've been doing since at least 1968
