I've heard this live version of Mutter dozens of times, over and over again. I know when the audience is singing, I know when the drumsticks hit, I know exactly when Till nods and everything. I'm german, it's my mothertongue, so I understand and remember every single word and the context of the song. But even after all this time, his voice, and Rammstein's performance here, sometimes I still get goosebumps while listening to it. It's just incredible.
I really enjoy Till's voice too, even tho I don't speak much German either. His low voice and those rolling r's are wonderful. "Ohne Dich" is another ballad if you liked this! For that I recommend the official music video. I haven't seen a really good quality live version.
@fxck media For me personaly Nebel is the poetry with music. The lyrics are top, but I do not enjoy sound of this song as much as balads that I have mentioned. :-)
I agree, but the word "complains" sounds a bit comical in a "i'd like to speak to your manager" kind of way. You gotta bring out the big feelings with Rammstein^^ Something like "The child is lamenting his lack of motherly love, or bemoaning his life" or something :-p
This song always gets me. Its so intense in so different ways. You know what you felt even without the lyrics. Double that up if you know the words as well. When he sings/screams "Mutter" (which means mother) on the 4th time and the sparklings come down, i always get all the goosebumps i ever had.
" Ohne dich" is a nice ballad, here in a good live version: Ohne dich - Live 2013 (Remastred) and "Diamant" 2019-06-12 Dresden, Germany . The hardest piece is" Wiener Blut" in the live version: Rammstein - Wiener Blut - Wacken Open Air 2013 ,Till Lindemann shows his entire vocal range here.
Wiener Blut only the deep and harsh end actually, and damn is it dark. The band does a very good treatment of the Fritzl Case actually, because of the lack of theatrics- just Till's voice (in other versions they explode puppets, but Wacken is the best). And speaking of which, Puppe is also quite dark and deep.
@@PalleRasmussen Puppe's lyrics are the darkest lyrics that Till has ever sung. It is about a child whose sister works as a prostitute in the next room and is murdered by a client. The child is immobilized by the sister with a doll and medication, but notices everything and in his desperation rips off the doll's head.
@@PalleRasmussen Tills lyrics are always ambiguous. The murder of the prostitute appears directly in the song. Only then does the child sing "I'm fine now". It could be meant that this way of life has come to an end.
As a huge Rammstein fan myself I'm giving you great respect for listening to some of their ballads and going on a bender with many songs in a row (just saw your library and will go through your videos so yo'll get some views). Many just goes towards their heavier songs and even though Mutter is one of their more known songs I highly recommend "Stein um stein" ..it could still count as a lovesong (..from a different point of view -as Obi Wan Kenobi says). Also don't shy away from going further to the Rammstein rabbithole and look up some songs from Till Lindemann's project (Recommend "Yukond" if you want a slow song and imo "Steh Auf" is great if you want one that's faster) and the guitarist Richard Kruspe also have a band called Emigrate (where I recommend "You are so beautiful" as a slow one and "War" for a faster one). Chers from Sweden :)
Every song has It's meaning behind it This here talks about human experiments and also describes life that both Till and Richard had as Kids. Both neglected by their Mothers Also Till has nothing to do with his stage persona, He is a very shy man suffered from stage fright thats why He tries to be silly and light.
Tip. Isn´t it the much better way to have a look at the lyrics first? Most songs from Rammstein has a very special meaning, often with real background. (Other artists to) So you can much more the feelings by singing, when sounding and seeing go together... This is my only critic, go on & stay safe!
Thorsten Beilmann I get this question a lot. Personally for me I like going in completely blind and trying to figure out what is happening. Then I dive deep into song meanings and how they actually pulled everything off. I have done reactions both ways and this way seems a bit more authentic to me.
@@JimGames No problem! I also like your reaction. I think because of her real meanining, "Music connect people". So these artist give us a great gift and today people all over the world can see them. To the TOP, i think discover the meaning of a song can be realy nice live. Specialy by Rammstein because their songs have great lyrics with a sense. So go on, i will still come back.
I don't know if you feel like doing something like that, but you could react to a Funny Moments from Rammstein. There are some really funny ones. This is not that long: ua-cam.com/video/ynvxrOGKEp4/v-deo.html Ps: The longer ones are often better.
If you would like me to make a reaction video for you please post the best quality link as a reply. 👽

There is a good live version at the end of the 20 minutes video of Rammstein in Nimes
@@paolopoempel3048 you're right, that is a good version! All the Völkerball reactions tend to get blocked so I don't usually recommend it. :(
Other balads: Diamant, Früling in Paris, Stirbt nich vor mír, Seeman, ohne dich
Ill check them out! Thanks for the heads up.

@@ircircicik7382 Frühling in Paris is a banger. Love that one.
It is about a child who was artificially bred as a test tube baby and who complains deeply about not getting motherly love!

They dont change stage for every song. Just they make new stage for new album
By the way the new album is already in work, or even finished in a studio in France.
