There is no exaggeration that I immediately fell in love with this song the second I heard it. It's so beautiful and emotional and just feels, so perfect, for being the final ending ♡ This is also probably my favourite orchestral instrumental I've made yet! 0:53-1:02 not enough people are talking about the beauty of these lyrics. though i will admit the orginal lyric of just "this world is cruel, but i still love you" i think gets the message across better, but obviously that lyric had to be extended for it to fit in english

@@taukirmomin17 Yes, it's all from Eren and about his feelings, words of love for Mikasa, that he wants to protect them all, that he doesn't care about the world he doesn't know, and so on. Everything is just feelings from Eren.
After coming back to this video, I find it weird that this Ed which is from Eren’s perspective, is sung by a woman, and the Ed from Mikasa’s perspective, Under the Tree, is sung by a man

I %100 agree. That's exactly why NateWantsToBattle's Attack on Titan and My Hero Academia dubs are bad. He just thinks of random words and makes a song with the same tune as the opening. However, Mewsic on the other hand actually does an accurate translation.
The lyrics is so beautiful. Even though I finished the manga long ago, and cried a hell lot. But listening to your cover just made me cry one more time. Eren has been through so much. Hope he can live a better life in the after life.

1:04-1:15 will always stay as my favorite adaptation among all the other translation, cause thats what he really did - He made himself THE enemy to the entire world and never told Mikasa about his true feelings because he truly loved her and never wanted her to share this pain with her, just for her to be safe and live a long life… And he alone paid the price… of her happiness…

While I'm not sure if this is my favorite ending, I really think it perfectly captures the feeling of a finale and the lyrics are so fitting (especially considering the ending). The visuals are so amazing too. Seeing all those familiar sights, now old and abandoned. They invoke a feeling of loss and longing, but at the same time I can feel content knowing what all happened there.

I’ve been listening to this cover a lot on Spotify for the past week and glad I found you on UA-cam just now too:D This English covers lyrics and singing is great and so beautiful that I cried when first listening. You did this last ending song justice and I really like the endings message that in the end we are all evil children chasing after our desires but never casting the things most dear to us to the side and still protecting them. I’m glad i get to be here with everyone else to witness the end of the series, it’s been a blast:)
