GSMDome.com reviews the Sony Xperia 5 IV, a fall cameraphone, which is priced at $940. It features an IP certified body, a 6.1 inch OLED screen with 120 Hz refresh rate and a powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor. It also has 8 GB of RAM and 128 or 256 GB of storage. There's also a microSD card slot in the mix, a 5000 mAh battery and stereo speakers. We have an audio jack, a dynamic vibration system and a 12 MP front camera capable of 4K capture. There are 3 12 MP back cameras here, one wide, una ultrawide and a 2.5X optical zoom telephoto one, plus a color sensor and LED flash. We also have 5G and Wi-Fi 6, Android 12 and Xperia UI, plus a side placed fingerprint reader.

Bezels is not that big, and it allows them to put front firing stereo speakers in place of a notch cutout.
That music app is such a cool feature! I'm sure it's limited but just having one in this phone is very interesting, if it wasn't broke I'd buy one haha.

One thing I don't quite understand, is why Sony don't release their 10 series in the US market. They launch the other two, yet arguably the device that would appeal to more people isn't sold here

salut! il recomanzi? am gasit o oferta la putin peste 4000 ron dar expira azi. inclinam spre pixel7 pro dar inca nu e disponibil nicaieri in Ro si ma tem ca atunci cand va aparea, va fi mult mai scump decat pretul de pe google store (care nu livreaza in ro).
The music app is great, Sony should bring back the album app for a better experience

Please can you make a video that is not only focused on the cameras of the xperia mark iv, but also talks about the software, its behavior and utilities that can improve day-to-day use. Like voice dialing, reminders, product features, etc, etc, etc,?
I guess you forgot to say that Sony's software updates and patches rate is the worst in business at the moment and this device is eligible for two major Android version updates only.
Is overheating issue for UA-cam watching or browsing etc?
Worth to mention availability and price of this device. Basically it's not available in most countries and the price is eye-watering (for the wast majority of people who is buying it parallel imported with little to no warranty). Perhaps I can get Galaxy S21 Ultra or Pixel 6 Pro a way cheaper than than this Xperia. Even just released Pixel 7 Pro costs the same here.
In my country it's 50 Euro cheaper then the ZenFone 9, and 100€ cheaper from s21 ultra. I'm going to buy it to replace my OnePlus 7t Pro.
Why not useing manuell mode in the potho pro app for nigth photography i dont really get i have the 5 IV since a few weeks and I dont have that problem when useing manuell mode in the photo pro app you get much better results with 5 IV i never use auto mode when i take pictures at nigth .
I was suspecting he was using Auto mode.
Hi! I have been researching for xperia 5 iv for a week now and all this review videos that use auto mode camera confused me. Most of them are taking really bad night photos. But why? Is it that hard to make a few camera setting changes? Should I be a pro photographer to buy this phone? I am scared. Did you have a hard time learning? Are U having hard times using that camera now after five months? I used to have a Xperia X in my college years and I was in love with it. Please help me, I don't want to buy Pixel 7 just because AI help of camera control.

Nope at all. Never heats up this issue was long time ago long time my friend.

This phone checks so many boxes.. how can this phone not be for everyone. Because they can't afford it. I have this phones and even the heating is no longer a problem. Yes it gets warm but i rarely see overheating symbol... only when i film to long, but that is something i rarely do.
I have installed Android 14 and no overheating symbol after recording 10 plus min 4k video.
