SpellRogue is a turn-based dice roguelike where you roll Mana Dice, spend them to cast powerful spells, gain legendary artifacts, upgrade your spells and experiment with potent combinations to annihilate your foes.

This feels like a mix between Dicey Dungeons and Slay the Spire in all the best ways and I lovet it!

19:13 I'm pretty sure that eye ball is Behold the Infinite from Legends of Runeterra. It's not exactly the same, but it's really similar

Retromation, have you tried out Poker Quest yet? It's extremely similar to this game, but played with a deck of suited cards instead. It's a lot of fun, and I suspect you'll enjoy covering it!

Has anyone done Dicey Dungeons, but the cards are resources instead of dice? You could draft both resource cards and equipment in tandem, in that case.

gameplay reminds me of dicey dungeons
How do you feel about this compared to Dicey and Circadian?
It's very different from Circadian Dice, which I look at as an extended version of the board game Dice Forge. Spellrogue is really fun and quite challenging... there are three classes now and they all play very differently. Lots of depth in terms of artifacts, and spells.
Did you try right clicking to see details on the spell? Might be able to see the upgrades there.

Can you get addicted to roguelikes? I feel like im just rapidly jumping games so much its unhealthy for my economy :(
Do you think this kind of games should standarize status names? Like power, strength, poison, acid. They are the same and mean different things in every game.

Sure. While we’re at it let’s make sure every game standardizes color palettes and art styles and number ranges and music styles and more. Differentiations in games are annoying they should all be the same exact game.

Sts has poison. Gwent has bleeding. This game has acid. All 3 do the same thing. The only thing they get with calling it differently is making me remember different things. If anyone knows how poison work, why do you choose a different keyword just for the sake of being different

The game is great but I'm worried about the balancing of the game.
How so?
@@joegaddy2030 just do some bit of math. You only have 3 dice to fight the enemy for the entire Chapter 1. And each enemy (after the miniboss) will have buffing phase, where they will buff their damage. And as you see, the enemy after the miniboss will almost guarantee to deal 10 damage+. Plus that with the buff phase? Disaster. Not to mention some of hem have multiple attack. With just 3 dice, the player will always have a slow play. So if the enemy deal 10+ damage, they will try hard to defend that. You can argue that Retro have done that and then deal some damage in the same time, but if that happens with all the non-boss enemy? It will become a slog to play. So Idk. The dev seriously need to buff the player up a bit if they want to go this route. This is a dice game after all. RNG will have a heavy impact on the already balance issue.

How is this not just a reskinned Dicey Elementalist
Looking at a gameplay video, they are _crazy_ different from each other. Dicey Elementalist is much closer to Dicey Dungeons. Not everything that shares a mechanic (rolling dice?) is a reskin.

I’ve asked before, but I’m literally begging you now.. Can you please, PLEASE, turn down the music some? As someone with APD it’s literally impossible to understand what you’re saying when there’s loud-ass combat music in the background T-T
This is a new one, 95% of my comments say to turn it up. I will look into it. As an aside, you must have commented about this on someone else's channel because a search of my comments tells me you've not brought this up ever before.
