You’re based in a really good area, California pays more than other American big cities. For example, I’m based in Boston and I’ve been dashing for a month and a half now, no matter the strategy you take you’ll make an average of 8 dollars per delivery. I’ve noticed that the algorithm tries to get you in the $20 per hour range, like they send you a $15 delivery then the next one will be a $5 one. I kinda like the dynamic of the job, you’re on your own in your car, you get to get up and walk all the time, the app is really easy to navigate, support is very helpful. The cons are that people tip really bad, most of the time they don’t tip at all. You can get stuck in traffic and it can really mess your day up. You gotta work long ass hours to make decent, in my area you gotta put 12,5 hours to make 200. But I think whoever is interested in this kind of gig should keep in mind this could be a temporary opportunity to raise good money working on your own terms. Like you said in other videos, if you really put into work you can make almost 8k in one month. Thanks for showing this perspective.
you are a hardworker, I would like to be your age and try it !! Keep up the good work ! Professor !
The vids really help the newcomers
Great info again, thanks. I understand your thought on Active vs Dash time however even if you are at home you do not have the freedom (unless you end dash) to do what you want so in a way you are on duty even at home? You can't go to the gym or a movie or out for dinner or.... so to me as long as I'm logged in Im counting those hours.
Yea you can. And I have. You can pause your dash or just decline/let offers expire… (and as far as pausing goes, you can wait until the pause has almost expired, hit resume, then pause again immediately for another 30). And sometimes an hour or two can go by without any notifications. So I hear what you’re saying but it is/can be way more flexible than you’re assuming if you’re smart widdit
Just discovered your channel. The algorithm blessed me 🙌 The Sur On is sick but expensive. Do you take any other bike theft precautions besides just locking it? ty
body guards on more rons follow me around
I've officially decided I'm going to pick up a Sur Ron and start door dashing thanks to your vids. Maybe I'll see you out there one day.
You got a shop you recommend to buy the bike from? (I'm the guy in SC who has been commenting on your vids so I'm local). Hopefully they got some black friday deals haha
you find one?
@@BestDasherAlive Not yet. Saw there was a store up in San Juan that sells the Sur Ron. Going to try and stop there this weekend to test out a few bikes before I go all in on a Sur Ron haha
Great video it heavily depends on where you live too
Of course
Definitely. I was in San Juan Capistrano CA back in May and Dashers were making way better than I make back here in Greensboro NC. But Cali is so much more expensive than here so I guess it evens out some.
Another question how do you change the notification sound when doordash sends a offer? I haven't heard the tone yours makes?
no clue
I figured it out in settings/app manager etc.. was able to change notification sounds.... thanks
I just recently signed up to be a driver, but haven’t done any deliveries yet. Partly because I’m a little nervous I guess doing it for the first time. Do you do this as a full time job or alongside other businesses, jobs, etc.?
Alongside other biz. Just go for it! it’s super chill and after the first couple deliveries you’ll already feel comfortable with it
Dope
What kind of e-bike is that?

I do Uber only and it being the less dominant delivery app in my area and I can still easily make 100 a day just sitting at home. Each delivery takes me 15 mins but spend 2-5 of those minutes just waiting at home after accepting the order depending on the restaurant. Money is there to be made it’s just people crying and complaining, I have my own business where I just need to be physically there once or twice a week and just leave the app open on those days I don’t go and have nothing to do 🤷🏾♂️
Love this mindset! Fellow business owner as well, and just downloaded the door dash app.
Yea this strategy works nice for some extra cash if you’ve got the time 👍
How many deliveries does it take you to get to 100?
🔥
I'm sorry but I'm a bit skeptical about 1900 a week...... that breaks down to 285 dollars a day. With uber there's a cool down period of 8 hours. How is it possible, to work all day and even when you had a 1900 week? It never happened again ?

For my bikers, whats the max amount of miles you should travel?
e-bike or proper bicycle?
@@BestDasherAlive Ebike
really depends on range of battery and avg distance of good offers in your area. Here’s how it breaks down for me:
Stock surron battery can do 35ish miles, takes 3.5hrs to charge, and I can get consistent offers of 3-5 miles and a good amount of 1-3 miles. So let’s say 35 miles/4 mile avg delivery = 9 deliveries. 9 deliveries times x $8 average pay per delivery = $72 and that’s more or less an average of what I pull on a battery (when it goes really well I can clear $100 on a battery).
Then you can recharge and be back out in 3-4 hours. OR and this is the real hack: get a second battery and you can go non-stop 💪. OR you can just buy an upgraded battery with more range
@@BestDasherAlive My guy 💪🏿
Ok, but are you doing this ALL DAY or 8 hours?
Varies

@@BestDasherAlive I was half way into that video when you responded XD Yeah even at 30hrs per week that's still enough for me to pay for the new car and gas which are my two biggest concerns right now. If I can nail $1500 that would be nice while gas is still not crazy high where I live. Thanks for the videos bro!

Beautiful Bengal! I breed them 🐈⬛💛🧡
i was so confused haha sry you were referring to the shot of the cat in the video!

Only thing these vids change in “the market” is drivers earning more ⚔️
@@BestDasherAlive i hope so. I love it.. But as all know dd dont give a crap us.
Next video, could you get to the point faster, please? I got bored and skipped until you said how much you made. I bet most of us did, as we came here to hear what you make, not what people think you make. I just thought I'd let you know. Good video ideas, though!
Prob not
I use a Segway 9bot big boy scooter G30 to DD Chicago market.. hacked it to go few mph faster 🤓😎🤑
