Definitely worth doing research on Bowser, that's like a series in itself when considering the history, innovation, and influence they've had on modeling steam in HO scale: especially for anyone that models the PRR.
Yea i’m pretty sure they are/were one of the only companies that makes a HO scale, Pennsylvania railroad and Long Island G5, and from what I’ve seen, they look pretty nice
1 When will you do the review on the N. scale battery powered train? 2. Will you ever buy any marx or Lionel accessories/marx locomotives 3 Will you ever review tyco trains
If you had to choose between owning a Lionel Scale Hudson and painting the real Reading 2102 in Conrail colors. Which would you choose? Yes I'm 100% serious
Well done!. I also am a fan of the NKP # 765 . I actually lucked out last month and bought one (bachmann model) for 50 bucks at a local indoor flea market store!.
I domt so much have a question, as to a comment. Concerning O Gauge, most of todays manufacturer's make the equipment scale with all the bells, whistles, smoke, steam, ext. Thise features cause the price to be significantly more exspencive than those that dont. As well, if you convert prices from the 70s inflation to today's, you find that todays scale trains with all the fancy stuff is actualy cheaper than stuff from the past. The low end manufacturer's, such as Menards, Atlas O, and Weaver, are alright. Kind of a you get what you pay for situation. I will say, for its price, the Menards PRR F-3 is a nice piece. Very basic, and feels kinda cheap, but shes a good strong puller. Though having nylon gears will mean she will die before other brands. Either way, thought i should point this all out.
The price I paid for my modern MTH premier model doesn’t hold up. Paint quality is poor, frame bent itself from being picked up, and it had blemishes from the factory. All round poor experience with it that has scared me away from modern O scale 🤷♂️
That isn't true. Semi-scale O is still around and being made for those who want the toy train not model experience as well as saving a buck. Lionel=Lionchief, MTH=Imperial, Atlas=Industrial
@@OriginalBongoliath ultimately those are still expensive. I really just want a regular conventionally controlled O locomotive. I don’t need all the bells and whistles :/
You coming up for the NKP 765 fall colors run? NKPHTS convention is that weekend and that will be the world debut of my Lego GP30 900. Would love for you to get some footage to use.
I wanna say bowsers Steam locomotives were basically rivarossi clones, They both use very similar mechanisms particular in the 4-4-0 and 2-4-0 locomotives
I got my gp9m the minute i saw the gp8 and you would think you have a gp10 but the roof is different from a gp10 thats how you tell the difference amazing vid though
Quite a decent Q&A video. I forget which video of yours UA-cam chose me to see first, but it was probably close to a year ago. I haven't disliked a single one yet.
Might’ve been late, but I have a last question: Do you have, or plan on getting a classic Lionel f3 from the postwar or mpc era? (Likely a 2343 Santa Fe or something similar)
My personal favorite car is dodge Viper because big engine and being a bare minimum performance car. I like all the Viper generations my personal favorite is the 5th gen. And yes people really charge a lot for the Mazdas despite their origins being affordable performance cars.
I can at least give credit to Hornby and other European manufacturers that they make every steam model unique and prototypical as possible vs American ones who will make one model then slap a bunch of road names on it that didn't use the engine at all just to save a buck on tooling and painting and most modelers accept it 😮💨 (Bachmann, Roundhouse, and BLI to a degree are notorious for doing this).
Athearn should listen to the customers more. During the early 2000s they produced f59phis and they sold like hot cakes. After they stop producing it many customers got upset. Fast forward to now the early 2000s one of a kinds are very rare. I am no longer a fan of Lionel especially with the $2000 Acela. Seems like a total waste. Unfortunately I have to give a shout out to Athearn only on the basis of they will make California cars! No other manufacture is willing to do that.
Literally mike from toy train tips and tricks says to avoid the 1001 at all costs, But I think it's that 1 charming locomotive that you can literally do anything with if you want It can derail hundred of times and it won't feel bad
1:31 MDC Roundhouse steam locomotive kits are made of pure lead! For your sake, skip it and do a TYCO kit instead those are die cast and not lead
Do you mean all of them or just the older ones?
@@Erierailfan3977 all of them

That PRR Hudson is if they locked the fuck in lmao
I've got a Lionel 0642, I got it running really well after fixing it, it's such an oddball thing and I love it
Any other questions can be dropped down here. I'll do my best to answer them.
GP30
1. Favorite British locomotive?
2. Do you have plans to buy a walters mainline GP 15?
What would be your ideal not-model train system?
1 When will you do the review on the N. scale battery powered train?
2. Will you ever buy any marx or Lionel accessories/marx locomotives

Any train animes you like? If yes. What would you like to model from them if you could?

@@ToledoRails got work unfortunately :/
Thanks for answering my question. I also really like early GP units, since they just look good with any type of train.
I have a lionel berk like the one you have. It runs great, although the tender suffered major rust damage to the frame and trucks

What are you talking about, no they aren't
Oops sorry got confused with J W bowser, and pocher

It’s literally a 10 but go off I guess lol
@cobramerciless ok but I'll call it gp10
5:21 look Gary there I am!!!
I have fond memories of being at my friends house and plying with geotrax and always fighting over who can use the steam locomotive lol
I can't wait to see the Geo Trax video.
No promises on it. Might be a filler video if I can’t find anything else
I love your videos, been here since the 2nd one!

I am not big fan of Hornby as well but they did do an okay job of making the new Acela in HO

Now I really want to see the k4 and nyc hudson body swap become reality (and conrail blue)
Won’t be blue. Guy who wants it said “absolutely not” ):
Great video!
I am running a gp30 right now
Nice vid bro
is that footage of the 1225 model near the start old?
Extremely old. 2-3 years iirc
Opinion on Narrow Gauge trains?
They exist? I don’t know how to give an opinion on something so broad lmao. It’s just “another train” to me
Why are you breaking track at the end?
The lionel ho tracks with magnelock are rather terrible
