Just so everyone knows I'm going to put the stock exhaust back on my bike 😅. It's a great exhaust but it is sooooo loud at 110db. Legal limit is 100db here so I'm looking at the arrow rebel now which sits closer to 85-90 I believe. The model with a catalytic converter in it.
The Danmoto is back on ;)
That's rough. Sorry to hear that but i get it. I just did the Two Brothers on my Vulcan S and it's soooo loud too. They have a Comp Cone Silencer which i guess helps. They're back ordered a couple weeks so it'll be a little before i can add that item. I've read it takes some of the bite off. Love the sound on the street but my neighbors i'm sure are going to shoot me. Anyway, ride safe and thanks for the vid. Even though it wasn't the same exhaust i liked your stock removal part and used it to assist with the removal. ty

I've managed to quieten it now by adding more muffler packing around the baffle. It's still stupid loud but it's borderline bearable at least. Fingers crossed I'll stay out of trouble.
I have the Delkevic 410mm slash cut on my bike. It was too loud so they sent me a custom baffle insert to make it more humane.. :) Still wearing earplugs when riding.
MORPHINEcity this is how loud the Delkevic is. I believe is not as loud even though the DB meter says it reaches 109-110DB. The Delkevic sounds fantastic.

Thanks for showing this video man! You made me order one, I just installed mine, the audio in the video does not do it justice this is basically a straight pipe! It is crazy loud! but hey it was 50% off on the danmoto ebay store so it was worth it.

Hi, will straight pipe with out power commander harm your engine? Was thinking about getting the same exhaust but i was told straight pipe without power commander will hurt your engine.

I bought mine used with this exhaust installed. It is very cool but is very loud. Your ears will be damaged if you ride for long with no ear protection

Why is there smoke coming out from the engine/header joints? Paint burning?
Vaibhav Garg yup spot on just the ceramic coating at the very top burning as it was the very first start up. It smoked a whole lot more but was fine after that.
Was looking for an exhaust myself, The performance of the bike didn’t change? Will you plan to get it dyno tuned and a power commander?
That or a booster plug. I'd say it has changed it's just not enough to notice yet as I haven't had a chance to take the bike out on the open road due to weather recently. Definitely no loss in performance though.
Definitely gonna need a booster plug at the minimum. I noticed on my bike that low end acceleration is really jerky and even at speeds of 45-55 mph acceleration isn’t smooth. Ordered my booster plug and getting it tomorrow. Ride safe

Earplugs yes, Power Commander no. I would recommend a booster plug instead.
much cheaper alternative. No it doesnt tune your bike but it does increase the fuel mix and makes the bike run a whole lot smoother and reduces backfiring etc.

You can re-use the stock exhaust gaskets. 👍
@@thefatmanmx when I deinstalled the stock pipes, I didn’t see any gaskets, nor they fell on the ground. I purchased a pair just in case but when I placed them in and the installed the new pipes, I wasn’t able to screw them in
They are in there! i would replace them if you've done some decent miles, When i changed mine I didn't bother as the bike was near new. It is best practice though as they will fit to the shape of the header pipe.
That big box around your stock exhaust... is that the catalytic converter? Seems like a pretty big part of the exhaust to leave out...
Short answer, No. But it is in there. Its mainly doing all the silencing that gets the stock bike so quiet (80db), FYI the danmoto is 8 times as loud (110db) .
google "catalytic converter motorcycle" to see how small they are
MORPHINEcity okay so what I understand is that the big box is the baffle chamber, and manufacturers tend to put the CC inside the baffle chamber. Is that how it is on the Vulcan?
Or is it inside the pipe?
MORPHINEcity I did google it and what I found was small CCs go into the narrow sections of the pipe, large ones go into wider sections and sometimes there can be multiple CCs inside the baffle chamber.
Not sure how the Vulcan is setup.
I have not cut it open so can't say for sure sorry. I would presume so. There are a couple of videos of people who have cut it open in order to make the stock louder on youtube. That might give you a better insight. Hope that helps :)
