Hello! Thanks for the video. Did you end up sticking with Beautiful Feet? I haven’t looked for a review yet so I apologize if you have already discussed this! Thank you!

We did most of the Medieval history from Beautiful Feet, but we mostly read the books, with only a few activities from the teacher's guide. I have FOMO on curriculum, so I switch curriculum too much. We are doing BookShark for my 8th grader this year, and Homeschool in the Woods for my 6th grader. I haven't made any videos in a while, but will try to do an update video soon.

Beautiful Feet is exactly what it says- Beautiful. We used it at a co-op before and the teacher was outstanding. She added a few sources to further the truth but standing alone it is nicely done.

Thanks for making this video. I’m also interested in Notgrass and Beautiful Feet books so it was good to hear your thoughts!

So happy to have found this video, we're currently using Notgrass Our Star Spangled Story for my elementary school aged son and we have really liked it so far. I had just come across someone else who had mentioned Beautiful Feet for history and have considered switching it up as well, so it was great to see someone who was in both shoes share their opinion! Did you purchase the literature package to go along with Adam to Us? Or does middle grade and up not have a suggested literature package through Notgrass? Literature based learning is extremely successful for us as well, and though I purchased the literature package to go along with our American History that they offered I also felt it necessary to beef it up. I purchased the American History Supplementation package through Memoria Press and I have really loved the selection even more than the Notgrass literature suggestions.

I am so glad you found this video helpful! I did purchase the literature package with From Adam To Us and have enjoyed it. I plan to read all the rest of the literature as we hit those time periods in history even though we are no longer exclusively using their textbooks. I am having my son use the textbook some for research when he writes reports for BF history. I haven't really looked at Memoria Press, I will have to check it out!

This video was very helpful! I was going through samples of Adam to Us online, and while it looked beautiful, it read very much like a typical textbook. We enjoy living books and retain so much more from them, so we passed on the Notgrass even though it is very well done. I am leaning towards The World’s Story (Masterbooks) which I see you have also previously done. Now that you’ve tried a few, do you have any more thoughts on that one..? Thanks!

We did World's Story 1: The Ancients, I did like the book, but my kids were not fans of the worksheets. It is also almost entirely Biblical history since it is the ancients. I own World's Story 2: The Middle Ages, we have read a few chapters out of it to go along with our Medieval study because I like the way it reads better than The European World that comes with the Beautiful Feet study. I think I will likely continue reading it along side our BF books. I love the pictures in the World's Story books also, each chapter ends with 2 pages of great pictures and captions!
