    About Colonel Christopher Fernengel:
    Col Christopher Fernengel is the current director of Commander’s Action Group at USSPACECOM. After commissioning into the United States Air Force through the ROTC pipeline and earning a Bachelor's of Arts in Sociology in 2001 from Ohio University, Col Fernengel went on to compile an impressive list of further credentials from institutions including USAF Squadron Officer School, National Security Space Institute, Joint and Coalition Warfighter School, Naval Command and Staff College, Naval War College, and Marine Corps War College in Quantico, Va.
    Before commissioning into the United States Space Force in 2020, Col Fernengel has earned a Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Afghanistan Campaign Medal, Global War on Terrorism Medal, Air and Space Campaign Medal, North Atlantic Treaty Organization Medal, Air Force Outstanding Unit Medal, Air Force Achievement Medal, and Air Force Commendation Medal with Combat Device. He is a career Space Professional; among his many accomplishments Col Fernengel has commanded at the squadron and delta level with Space Delta 3 for two years and has deployed and commanded troops in Afghanistan.
