And Last but not least, Katie, You are an amazing woman, it shows in how you interact with your husband. He is a Very lucky man to have you in his life, but I think we can surely say you are a lucky woman to have him in yours as well. You've done a great job of making that pen, and I encourage you to familiarize yourself with the tools and the trade of woodworking, it is VERY rewarding and I think you just got a good taste with making that pen.

Cute. That was really great watching someone who isn't well versed in power tools making something from scratch. We have a lathe at our makerspace. I've made a couple blanks, but haven't gotten farther than that - and yes, there are a lot of steps! Thanks for inspiring me to just do it.
The sheer terror in her eyes as she uses the saw is worth watching the video, also seeing a very beautiful lady bring the beautiful shape of the pen is wonderful. She did an awesome job the pen and the stool are items the boys will want when they are older. If you ever become complacent around the saw just watch this video to remind yourself to be extremely careful. You have adorable kids and should have many more. Now Katy has the ideal Christmas present for family. The thumbs down are from people that don't think women can do work and they do not have a beautiful wife or a lathe.

Maybe it is just my overanalyzing...but it is kinda funny how SOME girls are afraid of the power tools....but the idea of molding and shaping wood probably is more likened to pottery and there is a sensuousness about making the shape happen in real time. Awesome job guys!
