- In this video we charter a boat for the day for an adventure out on the sea off the coast of Ko Lanta Island. Total cost 7,000 Thai Baht ($190 USD) which included the boat captain his assistance. Price also included a Thai style lunch, water and dessert. while out on the sea the Thai Authorities stopped for a document check.

Good to see that the Thai coastguards are checking boat captains credentials and permits in an effort to protect passengers from unscrupulous, unauthorised and sometimes unseaworthy vessels. You know what Joe, Gift , Europe is beautiful as well as here in the States and many countries around the world but I wouldn't give up that beautiful paradise you're living in now for nothing That's why I can't wait for our big move to Thailand next year. Guess those water police are everywhere! We call them "fish cops" here in Canada. lol. Was inspected 3 times IN ONE DAY on Lake Ontario when I owned my boat!!! They are all on a power trip, and need to justify their salaries I guess! Cheers!
