My weekly win was getting to the heel of a sock I have been trying to teach myself how to knit since first learning to knit years ago. Was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer August of 2021 and have been battling neuropathy in my hands and feet since chemo. The fact that I got this far on a sock at this stage is a BIG WEEKLY WIN for me 💜
My weekly win for this week was this: I am knitting a pair of colorwork mittens for my boss, and after I blocked the first mitten I realized it was 1) too short and 2) the thumb was way too big, so instead of giving up which I would normally do, I un raveled the thumb and the top of the mitten and successfully fixed both issues! Now the mittens look amazing and professional!
My weekly win is making it to the end of the week, getting through all the kids' school and after school activities! Knit-wise, my weekly win is finishing the first sleeve of the sweater I'm working on.
My weekly win was finally returning to the cardigan I started months ago for my mother who has dementia. It's a simple fingering weight cardigan that I hope she'll love, but so many things about it have made it hard for me to keep going on. Now I only have one sleeve left and she's definitely going to get it for Christmas this year.
congratulations! my weekly win is my cat getting better! he was really sick for a while and had a feeding tube and i worked really hard to keep him healthy and it worked! he got his tube removed and is still doing well ❤
That yarn color is totally my jam! My weekly win last week is that I made it to all of my workouts! (5)
Big congrats on 25k!! A huge milestone for sure!!
My weekly win was listening to my body yesterday and leaving work early when I really needed the rest. Even though there was frustration with my body at first, I decided that I would benefit more from losing the wages and resting than I would from pushing through the pain. 💛 Learning to live with an autoimmune disease!
Congrats! My weekly win hasn’t actually happened, but on Sunday I’m going to run a half marathon and I’m just so happy and thankful for my body for taking my training this far.
Hope it went well!
My weekly win is that I kept up with household chores; laundry, dishes, etc. And thanks to you vlogging your Twists and Turns journey I too am looking at finishing this shawl in a more positive way than before( I too almost quite after seeing Clue 1!lol ).
Hi Natalie, first of all congratulations on the 25K subscribers! 🎉And thank you again for keeping me company during my crafty knitting moments today 😊My weekly win is that I finished a pair of socks. Not really special, bu I accidentally agreed knitting them as a gift. The deadline haunted me and I also really didn't like the pattern (as: it is so not my style....). I put all my effort in them last weekend and now they're done. I am so happy and proud of myself for pushing through and finishing them!
My weekly win was finally getting a new shower curtain and doing a deep clean of my tub in my apartment. Because I wear glasses I tend not to notice when my shower is in need of a deep clean. But I finally did it!
congrats on the 25K you are the 3rd one that I started watching (MarlyBird 1st and well loved knits 2nd) but you are the 1st one I go to now I just love your episodes . My weekly win is I have type 2 diabetes and my daily levels have been on the high side and on Wednesday I got my levels down where they need to be and I feel so much better and now on to finish my Christmas gifts 3 blankets for my 3 daughters 1 down 2 to go !!!!!!
My weekly win this week as a new serious knitter is, starting a colourwork jumper for my 2 year old grandaughter - working in the round! ( first time ) Super excited. Your podcasts have inspired me :) .
My weekly win is feeling good about bringing a bunch of socks, hats and dishcloths to a family party and letting everyone take something. I’m very self conscious about my knitting and this feels very brave for me
Congrats 👏!....My weekly win was to complete 3 pairs of socks and 2 hats towards Christmas 🎄 gifting, and for making 3 huge lasagna s and bday cake for my elderly mothers birthday...!
My weekly win was making myself be okay with being behind on my Twists and Turns shawl. Thank you for helping me with that!!!
My weekly win as a brand new knitter is learning the magic loop method and trying out both flicking and Continental styles of knitting. I LOVE that Autumn In New York color and your videos!❤️
My weekly win is that I FINALLY cleaned out our extra bedroom to convert it into my new office space for my new adventure of working from home. Whew! Sweating but so satisfying!! Now to put together the desk. I bought the Flex desk that you recommended! Thanks Natalie!
Congrats on this huge milestone! My weekly win is that I finally got over my fear of cutting fabric to start my first ever quilt :)
My weekly win is that I actually cooked something this week. I’ve been struggling quite a bit and have been relying on premade frozen meals (no shame, just not the healthiest). I made a pot of white chicken chilli last night and it was nice to have something warm and cozy and comforting to eat.
My weekly win was securing a new job after I moved a few months ago and getting over being sick! It feels so good!
My weekly win really isn't my win but it feels like it: My dad came home from being in the hospital for a month and its just so good to have him home! But I guess a month and ten day win for me is that I have been caffeine free! It actually hasn't been too bad!
My Weekly Win was finally setting up my craft room! We just moved into our first house and I am so excited to craft in the new space. The rest of the house is still a mess, but at least my yarn is all ready to go!
Congratulations on 25k. So exciting. My weekly win is continuing my mom lace shawl and every time I finish a repeat and have the correct number of stitches I cheer.
Congrats on 25k! My weekly win is to finish a sweater that sat in my queue for a couple years - along with the yarn and pattern for it! I finished it this week and it came out beautifully!
I recently discovered you on UA-cam. My weekly win is knitting every night while watching your videos. You have inspired me to get back into my knitting which I love. Thank you!!!! I currently started a new pair of socks and a scarf.
My weekly win was finishing clue 2 of the mkal! It was so helpful hearing your perspective of this mkal because the struggle is real!! Lol. I let go of the pressure of finishing by a certain date and just enjoying the process 🙌🏻
Congratulations on the 25K !!!!
My weekly win is not knitting related but I am e new language teacher and grading has always been my greatest fear. But this week I managed to get through it and it wasn't't as difficult as I thought it would be. a bonus weekly win is that I am still on track with my new workout routine (I started last week) !!!
My weekly win for this week was handling all of the animals in our house without my husband's help because he had to go into office for work. It has been a lot of work and has made me appreciate my husband even more.
My weekly win is that when I totally missed up the stitch count on a sweater sleeve and didn't notice until the other side of the colorwork section I didn't beat myself up. I just ripped out and redid it. I actually got back to the same spot that day.
Congrats on reaching 25K subscribers! My weekly win is that I had a really good business meeting today. I am hoping this could be an opportunity to develop a long-term relationship between the two companies attending the meeting.
My weekly win was finishing a crochet shawl in weight 1 yarn! It took me forever but it was so worth it!
I love your channel. My weekly win was to finally finish my cartwheel sweater. Cable intensive, but I love it!
My weekly win is finishing my Felix sweater. I didn’t let sleeve island stop me! Congrats on reaching another milestone.
My weekly win was going caffeine free while working full-time, being a new mom to a curious and mobile 7 month old, and hosting two regional events. I am so glad it's Thursday and you have a new video out so I can sit back, relax, and do some knitting ❤️
Thats a big win. As a new mom myself I feel like I don't have knitting time at all lately. How do you do it.
That's so exciting! My weekly win is finally getting a gym membership! I've been putting it off for so long because it's so nerve wracking going from working out at home versus in a gym around other people 😅
My weekly win is: I had finally knit the neck band on a test knit I’ve been doing and bound off (snapped my brand new needle in the process) and it looked BEAUTIFUL! Tried to put my head through and it was TINY! I then ripped it all back, picked up all the dropped stitches and taught myself Jenny’s super stretchy bind off, now Instead of a super sad and frustrated project sitting in my bag, I went to bed, woke up and got it all sorted, I’m super proud of accepting my mistake and fixing it! ❤
Congratulations on 25k!!! My weekly win is, after almost a year of stagnation, I have 3 designs coming out in December! Thanks for all the great videos Natalie!
Congrats on 25K! It’s such a big accomplishment and you totally deserve it. ❤ I have 2 weekly wins for the week so far… and we still have a couple of days to go! I finished a pretty big and complicated sweater design that I’ve drafted myself AND at work, I was assigned a new task that was usually performed by a senior member, but was able to complete it myself even though I’ve never done it before! 🎉
Congratulations on 25k!!!! I love how you altered your twist and turns shawl, the tassels are soooo You!!! My weekly win: taking time for myself, slowing down and exhaling.
Congratulations!!! Love watching your podcasts! My weekly win would be committing to a weekly walk with my daughter over facetime. We facetime all the time but she's been trying to get me up and out!!! Although sometimes hard to get out, after the walk I always feel so much better:)
My weekly win was making it through the stresses of this week to be able to watch this podcast. It's just life and we just keep putting one foot in front of the other to get through. Mom is ill, adult son had to get Pin removed from thumb due to dirt bike accident that tore the tendon, knit night (relaxation), Veterans Day flags placed on family graves, new front door and storm installed just in time for 30 degree weather, Son buying his first home (closes on Monday) and another son losing his business due to economy/cutbacks. Just life! My knitting has kept me in my Happy place! Onward and upward!
Congrats on 25k! Your channel and content is amazing and has helped me so much on my journey with knitting and crocheting. My weekly win is actually knitting/crochet related - I have a really big issue with binging knitting/crocheting, then burning out really hard and not doing it for ages, and not only does that prevent me from making progress on projects, it also stresses me out and has sometimes leads to actual pain and injury. I've struggled with this for ages, but I finally feel like i've gotten into a sustainable rhythm of doing consistent work and also taking breaks, resting and listening to my body! I've also gotten my wips in order and i'm getting a lot more organized with my projects in general, in part thanks to your video on the topic.
Congratulations! I love channels like yours that feel like a little knitting with a buddy break :). My weekly win is that I took a break to care of myself instead of pushing myself to study harder when I was already feeling burned out
My weekly win is becoming a nanny and being there to support my daughter threw delivery and after I'm so proud of my grandson and my daughter ❤️
Weekly win for me something so small but made me feel so proud of myself: I work in the actuarial field (lots of math) and I’ve been at my job for over a year now and still feel like I learn new things everyday. There’s been this one concept I’ve been struggling with since day one of this job and it finally clicked today, as I am pulling an all nighter on a Friday to meet a very tight deadline in a couple of days. It’s honestly a great feeling and it just made this project so much easier to find the motivation to do. Been working a lot of long hours this week, not finding a ton of time to knit, and that just made the whole week worth it.
My weekly win is actually a much longer-term win. After two years of research, planning, interviewing, giving, and taking, I signed a contract to build my last house (retirement!) on 24 acres in the country! It’ll take another year before I move in, but this is a major milestone, and I’m celebrating!!
My weekly win was a biggie, i got my babies nursery all finished! She is due in 2.5 weeks and it feels so good to have her space all set up and ready to go ❤
That Sewrella yarn is giving me all the good feelings, this time last year my husband and I were on our honeymoon in Autumnal New York City and it was a dream come true, Sewrella has knocked the colourway out of the park!! 😍
My weekly wins are making the call to set aside my MKAL once I am finished section 3 so that I can get on with my Christmas knitting. Also I have been doing much better about being done work at 5pm! It is too easy to keep working when you work from home 🙂
Hi Nat, congratulations on reaching this milestone, I've only found your channel earlier this year, and I'm delighted it's growing more.
My win this week was that construction started on our house again. It's been a stressful two years with lots of builders going out of business, and my region has been affected by floods for weeks (I'm in regional NSW, Australia). To have builders working on our house again is such a blessing and we're thrilled.
Weekly win…I am building space in my home. My house and non necessities are being destashed. Thats clothes, shoes, coats, yarns, mega books, studio tools and supplies. Making room for more life more space.
My weekly win: I decided a few weeks ago it was time to finish a long term WIP, and this week I finally bound off the sleeves and body of my long summer cardigan!!🥳 (we will not discuss the button band for which I still have to pick up a lot of stitches)
My weekly win this week is that I am continuing my FIRST crochet project proudly and uniquely as my own--with design features and colors that I love!
My weekly win is that after 2 years of waiting we have finally moved into our new home. Trying to figure out where everything goes is a challenge but staying calm and not becoming overwhelmed is my goal. Congratulations on hitting 25,000 subscribers.
My weekly win is celebrating a friend's wedding and having a good time
My weekly win is finally finishing my twists and turns while watching this podcast!
My weekly win is staying on top of everything around home, so that I've had solid knitting time every evening to relax and make progress on all my projects!
My weekly win is taking time out of each day to relax and recognize how far I’ve come and all the work I’ve gotten done each day
Congrats on your UA-cam milestone! My weekly win was helping my daughter relocate across the country-we were able to enjoy each other’s company and have some fun, even while looking for housing.
My weekly win was going through my stash and finally taking out all the yarn I’ve collected over the years. It was holding me back from the enjoyment of buying yarn again! It was a GREAT feeling rehoming 3 garbage bags full of yarn to feed someone else’s creativity!
My weekly win is waking up an hour early every single morning so I can start the day knitting in the peace and quiet before the rest of the house wakes up. Sooo worth it!!
I got the body done on the sweater I'm making for my mother! So much a win!
Also you can use the scraps for the banket
My weekly win is the whole family finally getting over this awful cold we’ve all had and finally swatching for my next sweater project!
My weekly win was planning what I wanted to do for my 30th birthday! Everyone involved ended up having a great time!
Happy Birthday! I am a year ahead of you! Enjoy your 30's!!!
@@kellylewis6060 thank you!!! I think it will be a great decade!
Happy Birthday….🎉
My weekly win was that I was able to adopt a rabbit from a shelter and provide her a home with someone who understands rabbits! It was a really fast adoption, too, since we decided to adopt and then rearranged everything in our home and picked her up that night. A long day, but a definite win!
My weekly win was doing my exam, doing my homeworks, going to school, working, doing my chores and having a social life! Its the kind of week that only happens once a year but i am very proud of myself!
My weekly win is I finally put some knitted objects in a craft sale for the first time, and most of them sold! I was so shocked, but I’m grateful for you and other knitting bloggers who inspire me regularly to keep going. Thanks!
My weekly win is realizing how important using life lines is! It is making me so much ore comfortable while I’m knitting in case of a mistake. I’m enjoying my knitting so much more knowing it’s so easy to go back and fix something. Perfectionists unite! Thank you for your podcasts. I love you ate a perfectionist 🥰
My weekly win was helping my friend redecorate her condo. We were very proud of how much we did and how it looks.
How exciting to hit 25K! Congratulations! I have a weekly win that probably annoyed a loooooot of people, this week especially. I was able to finish out a texting and postcard writing campaign by the end of election day that helped me reach out to more than 3,000 voters combined. I feel proud of the fact that if I even got one more person to get out and vote, I've impacted somebody in a positive way. For all of the people that got bombarded by my texts and postcards (and other voluneers' texts and postcards) I do apologize. But it was that important to us to get people to share their voices. And I feel like it was a big win to see a big turnout during a midterm election. Thank you for another awesome episode! I'm so grateful that you share these with us so we can find a sense of community and inspiration. Have a great day!
My weekly win this week was that I cooked supper every single night. No heating up leftover, no take out. It felt good :)
My weekly win is giving myself grace when sick and not over working myself.
My weekly win was watching my 2 year old nephew along with my 1 year old son for a morning together! And I resisted the urge to clean up every room as we moved around the house haha.
My weekly win was just getting through the week. I have a 8 month old son and we were all sick last week. Taking care of him while being sick myself felt like a huge win.
I have also made progress on my advents of years past. Goal is to finish before december and I think I might succeed =)
My weekly win this week is that I was able to enjoy some time in the sun with my husband who has been unwell, we sat by the ocean and just enjoyed the sound of the waves crashing and the sun shining on us.
Thanks for helping me recognize my weekly wins; I try to identify at least one thing each week and give myself a little pat on the back 😀
My weekly win for this week is being social! I realized I have been missing my friends and extended family over the past few months. This week I've visited 2 cousins, and spent an evening with a great friend, and attended a community event where I had so much fun chatting with neighbors. It's been wonderful !
My weekly win is seeing my son for the first time since August when he left for college! So excited…..
My weekly win is I finished a sweater for my husband and … IT FITS HIM PERFECTLY! I was shocked and so thrilled.
My weekly win was that I finished all of my DH’s laundry & reorganized his drawers & shelves to put away the summer clothes & make his sweaters accessible.
Congratulations! My weekly win is that for the first time in 3 years I was able to go to work and back home, on my bike. I'm recovering from a traffic accident, still not back at what I was used to, but this was a MAJOR win!
My weekly win: I decided to knit my 4 kids sweaters in September. This month I'm trying to finish my youngest's sweater and a test knit sweater for myself. This week, I set a goal of two get a certain amount on each sweater done each day so that I could get through the body of the sweater by Saturday. I think I'll finish a day a head of schedule. woot!
My weekly win: I ran the NYC marathon! Slow as molasses, but I crossed the finish line, powered by my own two legs. Hooray!!!
My weekly win is I started crocheting a sweater for one of my granddaughters and I am more than half way done. Woohoo for granny!
My weekly win is finishing a sweater while chasing around a crawling 7 month old! I’ve knit two sweaters since he was born, and I’m so proud of myself for still knitting whenever I can.
Congrats on 25k subscribers! Such a cool milestone and I love how you described seeing CSL reach that and now you're at that same level. My weekly win is I did a big presentation for my colleagues on supporting trans youth in our K-12 schools. Well, we reached max registration capacity and had even more staff show up to the session! We ran out of space for chairs and had people sitting in the hallway to hear the training. It was very validating that people wanted the education we were providing and seeking to support trans youth at school. And when our kids win, we all win. Have a great weekend!
Weekly wins wash/laundry basket empty, whole house clean, tomorrow attic/loft, toes completed on socks while watching podcast. Feeling happy
my weekly win was getting my own office at work :) now i can turn on my mini heater, drink my hot tea, and knit for the first 15 minutes of my day at work :)
My weekly win has been to enjoy the day even if everything around me isn't going my way. I'm choosing joy, and to find joy in the small things.
My weekly win is that I started running 3 times a week, and this week: I did it! 🥳 I even went while it was raining, so I'm very proud of myself!
This has been a really wonderful week. My longtime boyfriend and I have been building our home together in Lebanon over the last year and this week we took matters into our own hands and figured out how to lay bricks for our new wood stove. After months, the floor is done, the stove is in, and today we bought a small potted Christmas tree. It feels like a big milestone!
This week I also completed my first baby sweater for a toddler in our lives and gifted it to her parents. (Moon Phases Sweater by Laura Engmann - currently free on Ravelry 😉)
My weekly win was passing my Certified Nursing Assistant exam. I have hella performance anxiety and I definitely knit my way through my classes. But it’s so nice to know I passed.
😊My weekly win was making progress with my new lifestyle. My husband is now in a health care facility and I’m learning to live by myself. I do spend several hours each day with him.
Congrats on 25k Natalie! My weekly win was getting two large flat rate boxes with knitted and baked gifts for November and December birthdays and Christmas to our east coast family. Out of my control, but it might have felt even better to have them land safely on my mom's porch! There was so much work encompassed in those packages and I feel really good about the gifts and that I got it all there 24 hours before our niece's birthday! Take care, Kate
My weekly win is a nice suprise. For the last 5 years i was singing in a small christmas choir (me + 7 ppl) , organised and lead by a good friend of mine, but this summer he (finally) started medicine university and told us he will no longer be able to organize the choir anymore for the sake of his grade, which made us sad, even though we felt happy for him pursuing his dream. For me it started to get a christmas tradition singing in the church the next town (short explanation: i am now 21 and started singing with him with 16, so he shaped a good part of my christmas-experience in my life so far), and i was disappointed that this would stop this year.
This week however, he wrote me a message out of nowhere, that he will be able to make a christmas ensemble for this year because he has gained some free time, if we take some songs from last year (so we don't have to practice that much). I was quite suprised, but said yes immediately. Tomorrow is the first practice lesson and i could't be happier! Already in christmas spirit so far!
Weekly win: I met my knitting goal for a project over the weekend!
My weekly win is staying on top of our decorating schedule on our new home that we are moving into at the end of the month. It means that I don't have as much knitting time, which I miss. But seeing the house improve week by week is amazing!
I’m thrilled for you about reaching a new high with UA-cam subscribers!!
My weekly win is participating in making knitted knickers! It’s a great charity! Thanks for organizing the membership to participate.
My weekly win is that I drove thro the Blue range mountains thro the fog at night and with my niece by my side.I felt so accomplished after our mountain getaway.
Congratulations on reaching this milestone! I’m one of your newbies. Finding your Chanel actually happened because of a week win for me. I actually took care of me and put ME FIRST when I needed to. Rested, knitted, NAPPED REPEAT.
My weekly win is that I went swimming 3 times this week! After taking 10 years off, I am back to swimming laps and it feels great! I also have been consistently going to knit night at my new LYS!
