Originally the first “controversy” was that she was “reselling” another companies cookies, and then ppl got mad at the price bc they’re under the assumption it’s just rebagged cookies, that she stole from another brand
Then the only real “controversy” that I think isnt a nothing burger would be “poor shaming”, I haven’t seen the clip, she said something along the lines that she was calling out a specific person, who I assume was a first time viewer to the stream to simply complain and bandwagon hate on.
With the whole repackaging thing it’s called white label products which I believe she did say the cookies were to an extent, which almost every company and brand do all over the world. But ofc twitch audience are fullof either teenagers who haven’t lived long enough to realize that’s how the real world works, or early 20yos who’s only difference from a teenager is that they’re in their 20s
To sum it up this all started bc kids don’t understand how the world works and that monopoly is more than a board game their parents played.
I don’t watch a lot of pokimane I’ll click on a clip here and there if it pops up on my recommended page, but it must suck to always have this hate mob on your back waiting for anything to rip you apart about.
And not only is the mob enough but because she is like top 3 women content creators every creator is going to make a video on your situation and more likely then not relay the same hate they heard and believe to be true simply bc that’s all that’s being put out there.
And because she’s a women a lot of people for whatever reason are hesitant to defend her bc they don’t want to be labeled a simp, which in my opinion why would having someone call you names on the internet have any affect on you what so ever just ignore it or block them it’s simple

Suppose you are launching your product and in your launch party someone says that it is same to some other product or expensive than a similiar product and try to rub it to your face by saying this to all the people attending the party you may react badly towards the person. Why did she not take accountability on what she said. Social accountability is getting harder to see and it’s so sucky. The only addressing of the actual thing people were upset about was the title of this short. The drama isn't really about the price. She's saying that it is, but it is in fact about her insulting her viewers, calling them stupid and broke. Which is certainly not an appropriate reaction to people discussing the price of your product.
