Thank you Nejc! I just finished my first hand piece using your basic parameters, and it feels like it has really good action. Tomorrow's project is to sharpen my first graver and maybe even gouge up some metal! Thank you for sharing your experience. The DIY community owes you a debt of gratitude.
Beautiful work!! I have been running Steve Lindsay classis airgraver the past couple years and love it, man I love how you have done what you’ve done with your hand piece💯 sounds amazing!! I’m very inspired after watching this video!! Thanks for your knowledge and time!
Hey Bro does it matter where the 4- 2mm holes are placed on the hand piece top middle bottom? Or have to be exactly where piston hits the engraver collet?
Nejc, what a beautifully made handpiece, really does look to be a professional job - and the sound it makes is just musical, testament to the quality of the build. Just beautiful - is there any chance you could send a copy of the drawings for making one of these?
I don't know if you are still checking the comments....but I would love the plans to build your handpiece! I really like the design and have been researching how to build a custom graver for awhile now..very nice. Sorry to ask youl...I'm sure you have sent a lot of plans out already, but if you have the time I sure would appreciate a copy! Thanks and keep making more vids
Thanks for the video.... Ive been using a foredom power graver but i think i need to up grade... Where did you get the slow pressure air release switch? 🤔
Big boom. Could you tell me which company made the handpiece for you? And if it's okay to also have the sketches and dimensions to follow. You are awesome!
Shaun Hughes Hand Engraving yess! it cuts really nice and a lot more power to this than the old handpiece that I started with at the beginning. I must confess that I was watching your videos on homemade machine and also the handpiece A LOT! :) many times over and Everytime I learned something new or spotted some little detail that I didn't see, hear, or thought the first time watching your videos. your videos really helped me a lot in my learning about the homemade machine in general an now I am learning about carbide. I haven't bought it yet as I am still doing my studying about it but hopefully I will soon. thank you Shaun for the great videos you make and hope you keep making them for many years to come. enjoy and have a lovely weekend. thanks for watching, cheers!
what does your piston look like? I made a homemade machine and I had a chinese hand piece. The hand piece kept hanging up, then I figured out I had to dome the edges a little bit and it runs pretty good.
You can see how my piston looks like in the video. It has to be smooth on the surface and the inside of the piston chamber also has to be smooth for operating properly.
Yeah I watched it a while back, I will watch it again. Does the computer fan work well on cooling your unit? I want to hook one up but my machine doesn't require a bridge it has a plug in which I plug in a router speed control. So I want to take at least 4 fans mount them and then figure out how to get power to them, any ideas? Great videos by the way.
The fan works for me. Could blow a bit more but it's ok for now. I use it about an hour a day. If you want to connect many fans than get a seperate suply for that. Maybe ask a electrician or someone that knows electricity. i only know the basics about it. Thanks for the comment, Enjoy
modified compresor, so the air is blowing/sucking. when piston in compresor goes up, the air blows. when piston of compresor goes down the air is sucked. look for Shaun Hughes video on diy engraving machine. he has a good video on how he makes this. Thanks for watching, enjoy
Thank you very much. Would you be so kind to send me the plans for an engraver like this? (I already own 2 grs chinese knockoffs) florin.chiuta@gmail.com
Very good!!!! Could you send me the plans and measurements? I want to do it right now! Thank you!! Muy bueno!!!! Podrias mandarme los plaos y medidas? Ya mismo lo quiero hacer!!! Muchas gracias!!
Yes. I know. I did not say i invent it. I just show what i made for myself and everybody can see and make something like this. This video is just a vlog.
HI Nejc, could you email me your design, cheers. Also as I commented on one of your other videos, you seem to have clamped the graver directly to the handpiece body, both of the commercial versions (as far as I can see) clamp the graver blank into a holder which is held loosely infront of the piston barrel via an O-ring. This means that the full force of the piston is directly passed into the forward motion of the graver (which is not being held) rather than being partially absorbed by the action of the hand holding. I think In your design the hand acts as the wall that reflects the energy back, but as the hand is soft it also absorbs some of the energy. The hand is also triyng to hold the handpiece and direct the graver around the design, so the two things are kind of acting against each other. Seperating the tool holder and having it floating at the front of the handpiece may make a difference. I'm still trying to get mine to work, so your doing way way better than me, but thats my two pennys worth, all the best.
Thanks for the info. I haven't tried this, but i will, and see how it goes. looking at it from science point of view it's probably a whole nother fizik level, but it seem to work like i made it. I can always improve it if i want to, so we'll see where it goes. Thanks for watching

The low cost does not outweigh the quality and life of the counterfeit item; it is better to begin with a hammer and chisel or hand push methods than to waste resources on fraudulent equipment.

Its sooo Long ago. I dont have the plans anymore. Sorry, but thanks for your kind words.
Would it be too much trouble to ask you for the plans with the exact measurements? Thank you so much.
Thank you so much. Your explanation and design is awesome. Can you please share any dimensions or sketches.
great project, could you send me the measurements of the project
Does the compressed air come intermittently? Does it come continuously? If it comes intermittently, how do you ensure it?
NICE job! Is there any way you can post a link to a PDF of the drawings to make one?
wondering whether it effect the impact power by using grub to lock the collect instead of a friction fit...

Not sure if you are still viewing these comments or still offering the plans for this build, however I would appreciate having them.
Would you buy my handpiece. Please send me email to nejc.mazej@gmail.com
Where did you get your gravers?
I too can see and hear that You made a fine tool. Could I also trouble You for the plans.
Thanks for an excellent video.
have you sent me your email?
Can I ask, what is difference from GRS handpeice & Lindsay handpeice?
Thank you.

I've order before a set of grever with compressor but it didn't work
спасибо за обзор. не понятно только. боёк ( ударник ) толкает воздух, плюс пружина, как он возвращается?
where can I get the diagram to have the hand piece made?
how much the complete one?
Amigo:
¿Tienes algún plano técnico de ese modelo?
Really impressive work, would love to try out and build one from your plans. Please if you share. Thanks.
are you using pulsating air or just a plain compressor ? (i don't understand if i could use it)
modified compresor, so the air is blowing/sucking. when piston in compresor goes up, the air blows. when piston of compresor goes down the air is sucked. look for Shaun Hughes video on diy engraving machine. he has a good video on how he makes this. Thanks for watching, enjoy

I am using 8 letre compressor for engraving and set 5 pound pressure by air filter but graver did not work what will reason?
Handpiece needs minimum pressure and 8L is enough for engraving. Look closer at handpiece. The problem is likely there.
@@nejcmazej1129 please give me your contact details I send video and photos
@@nejcmazej1129 sir can you tell, how much need minimum and maximum set air pressure ?
Thank you for your good information
Hi,
does this handpiece work with plain pressure or are you using any kind of alternating positive negative pressure? kind regards
Yes modified compressor. Alternating suck/blow pressure. Watch other videos or Shaun Hughes channel for info on modification. Enjoy
Please make a video on how to modified a compressor@nejcmazej1129

If you want drawings send me an email so i can send it
Thank you, I'll pass on imail if you can, detailing how to do it imail inhosolares@hotmail.com
Olá amigo por gentileza vc desponibiliza o projeto do handpiece
is the air source pulsating or the handpiece work the same as pneumatic hammer -constant pressure ?
Pulsating... blowing /sucking. It's a modified compressor. Look at Shaun Hughes video on making a homemade machine
