One thing I really did love about it was the emphasis it placed on how all 3 of king henry’s children differed so ‘drastically’ in religious beliefs (especially Edward). I liked the focus on assassination attempts/backroom politics too.

I get the feeling Elizabeth wouldn't have put up with Cromwell, he was not necessarily fond of royal authority which Elizabeth constantly believed in.
Cromwell wouldn’t have lasted ten minutes with Elizabeth Tudor as Queen. He was too eager to chase his own ambitions. Too proud and too unwilling to bend. She’d have chewed him up and spat him out. Lord Burley was one of only a few people who could handle the Queen and that was because he learned to pick his battles and when to compromise. He never tried to dictate to Elizabeth or let his pride rule him when it came to submitting to her authority. Cromwell was a prideful man. Much like his descendent, the Usurper Oliver Cromwell, who killed a King and then took his place.
