Thanks for sharing! 👍 Makes a nice change from the thousands of lookalike UA-camrs vids on Thailand 👏 Really enjoyed parts of Thailand that seems to be frozen in time and hardly touched by tourism. Good on ya
Thanks for watching and glad you enjoyed! Those are the parts we love too! All the little areas we pass through that we've never heard of are by far the best, and the people the nicest and happiest 😊
Another very nice video! And great that you included the GPX info ♥️ We hope to be there by the end of next year or the beginning of 2025🙏🏼 Keep rollin’ and keep safe!
Thailand is an amazing country and i enjoyed livin in Cape Panwa Phuket for a year which best time of my life on a boat. You make cycling look easy but must be tough in heat, traffic, dehydration😊
Thailand has been one of our favourite places to ride! Such a beautiful country, we will be back soon for sure. You should be very happy that you live there, it's an amazing place 🙌
My first trip on my Troll was BKK to Cha Am i thought i could do it in 1 day, had to pull up 30km short. That was more a lesson in hydration than a tour but i loved it, my Favourte part of Thai is West. Planning to get a packraft next year so many beautiful waterways to bikeraft. Take care guys love the channel
How good! Heading south from BKK is an absolute dream! Yeah we love the west coast too, so many nice little islands to explore. I was thinking a bikeraft trip would be epic in Thailand! I'd be interested to see where you end up. Cheers, glad your enjoying the vids 😀
Great video. I'm thinking of cycling southern Thailand from Bangkok in Jan 2025. Did you guys get off the plane at Bangkok airport, assemble your bikes from bike boxes at the airport, and then ride off?
Hi, thanks! Yeah, we rode straight out of don mueng airport, which was pretty easy. It might be a bit harder if you're landing at Suvarnabhumi, but they do have the SkyTrain, you'd have to check the bike rules for that.
Hi guys, your vids are great! I’ll be arriving in Phuket end of October and had intended to ride back to Bangkok on the east coast. But this video has inspired me to consider the west. Are your rides public on Komoot? If so what’s your profile name 👍 Cheers
Hi! Thank you, glad your enjoying them! Oh nice, you'll have an awesome trip, so many nice little islands to visit off the west coast. There's a link to our komoot route in the video description 👍
Thanks for watching! We rode this section in January, and it took around a month. You could do it faster or slower depending on how much time you have, I'd prefer to do it slower to take more time to enjoy all the islands along the way
It's not as bad as you'd think. From Don Mueng, you just have to do a little bit of freeway, then you can cross on an overpass, and get to some quieter back roads that take you down to Khao San area. There's a route GPS link in the video description 👍
We have also cycled in Jakarta! 😀 We loved it. We rode from Jakarta to Lombok, Indonesia was an amazing place to ride through 👍 (we have another video of it)
@@brandonshaw2200 we find the islands on the west coast a bit nicer, There's so many small ones to visit, which are less touristy than the ones around ko Samui. In saying that, we've heard the ride down the east coast is great. You can't really go wrong in Thailand
I stayed at Kra Buri Pier the other night... what a shithole lolol, no fridge rock hard bed with a bedbug ridden throw over no sheets, it was a fisheries wharf with a narrow street of slum like shacks and stalls.. In Chumphon tonight heading along the coastline to HuaHin over the next 3 days.. Chiang Mai and follow the border down to the bottom and cross through Cambodia and follow the borders all around Vietnam, then same Laos then of to Nepal ...
@@everythingexplored5233 we rode about 50km per day, and didn't take the most direct routes. There's so many small towns and places to see in Thailand it's nice to ride shorter days and spend time exploring all these places, and eating lots of food..
We use the app, Komoot, which has been really good for south east Asia. Sometimes it gets us lost 😂 but Thai people are always so friendly and helpful they help us find our way.
I start my Trip from Phuket to Chang Mai on The 15th of December. Nice to See what to Look forward too 👏👋
Enjoy! Thailand is such an awesome country to ride through 😁
I cycled 7500 miles just doing laps of Thailand last march. Was the best time ever! Wish I could go back
It's so good! You can go back, just do it!!
Kudos to you for having the courage to ride thru the traffic of greater Bangkok area.
Ha thank you! We always enjoy the challenge of getting through some of the world's busiest cities, really makes you feel alive!

Possibly the most beautiful country in the world! Thank you 👍😊
Very envious. I'm Thai. I've never had the opportunity to do something like this before. Very cool.

Masterfully edited and very entertaining! It was so nice that you took the less-driven side roads. The Komoot App is also very cool for cyclists!
Thank you 🙏
Another great video ;)
Thank you 🙏
Great job! I am on my way from Hua hin to Phuket now) I’m cycling alone)) I’m going to use your komoot route) thank you!
Thanks! Oh nice, that's such a good stretch to ride, enjoy! 😁
Nice😊 I ride i last from Phuket Bangkok Ankor Wat Phnom Penh Ho Chi Minh I❤Azja
🙌😁
Awesome video. I plan to do this ride in the opposite direction next year. Be safe and pedal on.
Cheers! Such a good area to ride, I think we'll be back to do it again more than once
That Paul guy is crazy, taking cyclists thru random properties looking for secret roads. Great vid.
Ha, an absolute nutter! Thanks for the adventure mate 😁

What a chill trip!😍😍😍 How many days were you on the bike?
Hi, yeah it's the most chill place to ride. We were on the bikes around 20 days I think, with about as many days off 😊
Another great insightful video
Thank you 🙏
Thanks for sharing the route :) what month did you do the ride in and how long did it take?

@@weridebikesplaces thanks! 1 month would be including the island trips I guess, how long was your trip from bangkok to phuket?
Bangkok to Phuket took us around 3 weeks, which was pretty relaxed
Sure like to know how you got from the airport into Bangkok.

@@weridebikesplaces some sensational spots north of Chumphon, just amazing, back roads forever with Komoot,
How many km per day ? You said after several days you reached mae klong but from Svb airport in Bangkok it’s about 100km away ?
