Living in Thailand for decades and having worked in Vietnam hours south of HCMC, you will find the infrastructure in Vietnam very basic when compared to Thailand, it is a long way behind. Look forward to catching those videos when you visit.
Thank you Peter. Until now I have always skipped Vietnam, somehow it has always stopped me because I secretly know that it is a controversial country that will also challenge me. But I still want to travel it at least once to find out how it affects me. I know it won't be as easy to travel around the country by bike as it is in Thailand. I will let you know
Love this Mike, thanks for sharing your thoughts & experience in Thailand. Have you been a cyclist for many years? When are you going back to Thailand?
Thank you for your comment! Yes, I am a keen cyclist since many years. First I took part in triathlon competitions, then I discovered traveling by bike. I hope, I will be back in Thailand in December 2024. Best regards
Thank you for your comment. I will be posting a video in the near future about essential items I carry on my trip. Packing a touring bike is always a matter of preferences, but one rule counts for every cyclist: "less is more". And especially for Asia, you don't need to carry much with you.

I do many couple day bikepacking trips. I salute your touring for months. Consider doing video of your touring bags and contents. What are essentials.
