Today, I traveled to the Goodwood Festival of Speed in the UK to see some of the world's most insane McLarens. We do a deep dive into the Lanzante-built McLaren P1 HDK LM-25 with its owner Andy, but we check out the crazy "Mad Mac," a drift-spec McLaren 650S GT3 with some P1 GTR touches and a firebreathing rotary engine.
We also get a look at the Koenigsegg Jesko Attack, Bugatti Tourbillon, an Aston Martin Valkyrie, and a Liberty Walk widebody Lamborghini Countach, courtesy of my friends at Gtechniq.

It's great to see that Goodwood is for everyone. To be hearing a $1 mil plus countach startup and a random shirtless dude walk up. That just makes me want to go every year.
I visited for the first time and this was so special. No ropes guarding these multi million pound cars with owners/companies happy to chat and show you around the vehicles! Amazing 🙌🏻
Proud kiwi here. Mike is so typical of Kiwi gearheads. 100% fanboy who can thrash a rotary and fix it in a shed. ❤
And all harking back to a time when you couldn't just go out and buy things ,Kiwi ingenuity making things from things and more and never forget the Kiwi connection of McLaren.

the rear of the Liberty Walk Countach looks great. Simplified clean, and you can barely see the lights which makes that darkened out secion look even more iconic than the original look. Perfect
too bad the front looks horrendous. it's not a good looking body kit for sure.

Mad Mike is our local legend here in NEW ZEALAND. Love that he is on your channel. And yes you yanks make things look hard,!,!!!, us kiwis can whip up a front end for a McLaren in our garden shed in a weekend.
Yeah Australian here and we do the same because the rest of the world is too far away and costs too much.
Second channels are often used to drop extra footage/ b-roll or non fitting coverage.
But this channel almost dwarfs the main channel.
Absolutely loving the people you meet on your travels and the extra stories it brings.

Yepp, Lazante does some pretty crazy stuff with carbon. Mike's MadLaren (MadMac) is just one example of that. And that mindblowingly good custom P1 GTR. I mean pretty much anyone can handle carbon fiber & resin - but it takes a special eye to make a car actually look good. 😎🤘

One thing that goes unnoticed - the people that attend are a different mindset. If you do go, you’ll notice that after a whole day of 150,000 people wandering around, there is no litter. Looking through Freddie’s vid, you’ll see none… 😎

Going to ANY car show after Goodwood FOS is such a dissapointment...the FOS is the most unbelievable event for getting so close to top machines, drivers and cars going full send! Superb....

For the record, fanta is great in pretty much all of europe cause it has, you know, actual orange juice in it lol, it's just you guys who drink neon orange drain cleaner

Goodwood is definitely a different breed when I comes to crazy cars I loved the HDK P1 can’t wait to see yours finished definitely one of the most anticipated builds on UA-cam
All the high dollar price tags ,$3 mill ,6mill and rhen there a Mad Mike Kiwi with a P1 worth its weight in Gold to him ,gives spectators a show of shows ,but probably on a shoe string budget .

That rotary 01 is awesome I love good wood every time I go you just randomly bump in two some of the best drivers in the world and see all these amazing cars driving around you and being able to get next to them and touch them best car show ever
Went to Goodwood from Lithuania - experience of a lifetime for me. Event is so huge, that’s hard to believe. Spent full 2 days there and barely seen every single amazing car there.

I’m so curious about the p1 build. It seems like forever since the last time I’ve seen it. I know it’s going to take a lot more time and money than he originally anticipated but I’m still hyped to see it done. The color he’s going with is insane.

When you asked the Cosworth dude what car he likes to work on and said the Vauxhall Astra. You were very close to my all time favourite of the Mk1 Astra GTE. It's now rarer than most hyper cars and out of my meager budget. I miss my diamond white one a lot and often think about her like that first love girlfriend you were stupid enough to let go. Sigh it's good to dream.

Funny how you release a 40min every two months of turning three screws and pushing 75 adverts and this guy built the whole car in that timeframe with a whole lot more custom engineering.

21:45, that Koenigsegg has the special carbotitanium finish, carbon fiber woven with titanium and I’m not sure how they do the finish but you can always ask Christian behind closed doors, he might tell you

Man, you have the best _on screen presence_ . Meaning, you can just, off the cuff , for example talk about the Lambo with the person just saying tell me about it. No stumbles no mistakes.
