Huge plus of having a booth vs online is not having to store everything at my house. I started trying to sell on ebay and hardly anything sold. Leaving my house looking like a hoarder house. It's super competitive where I live so it's been a struggle to find a booth.
Nice video Emily! I dream to have a antique store. First I also want to keep my job and see how it go and hopefully make my lifetime job from it. I love street markets etc. But I just live in Ireland (3 years) and have to find everything out. That what I am doing right now. This video helps me also to see someone other view how to run business😊
*Mr. Play it Safe, opens UA-cam to stare into the eyes of Antique Alanis Morissette and thinks “Isn’t it Ironic” as he falls in love with her, but he was too afraid to fly. “It’s like RAAAAAIIIIIIIIIIIIINNNNNNNNNNNNN…”
.. its crazy how many of us are out there now! (Etsy & ebay vintage resellers) wish i wouldve started it 10 yrs ago. & i do resent my booth rent after being spoiled with online selling. For me i sell much more online since of course the audience is millions compared to local population.(we are lucky to live in huge cities though-l.a.& phx)😋💙the summer slow down is no fun either here in phoenix
PineAndFeather that’s amazing you’ve had success online! I hope to someday dive into it again. I’m extremely fortunate that I’m in a shop that does consistent sales over the year but I know there are shops that are struggling. Being in the LA area definitely helps. It’s rough out there! That’s why I try to support shops every time I travel. Congrats on your success! ❤️
I love antiques. I have been adding to my house for five years. It's gothic revival so trying to find those pieces. Don't sell much but if I do normally make a profit.
I was thinking of selling my vintage clothes online do you recommend any particular app like Poshmark? There are several and I’m not sure which one to choose
@@EmilyPertzborn Also what do you think about Squarespace and Etsy for selling vintage clothes ? Is it better to have own website like Squarespace or the other sites you mentioned? I will definitely make an insta account like you mentioned!
I think you are right about booth and I will start looking into the markets here they happen once a week and there is an antique market in Alameda as well
Thank you for making this video. I'm looking for the best platform for vintage clothing. I feel like the 10% some take is rediclous, Idk where to start I'm overwhelmed. I cannnnooott find anything on this Abercrombie and Fitch made in Italy blue button down sweater.
Emily, thank you for doing this video! It was really helpful for my Etsy shop! Do you have a P.O. Box? I have a doll head that isn’t selling, and I’d love to send her to you, since you collect them. :)
Nice video. I’m finally getting some traction with my reselling of clothes. Let me know if you come to Portland and I will send you to some good spots. I found your channel because of your dad but you definitely got your own thing going. Keep it up and thanks for the video!
Can you help me sell my antiques from 17th century?.. It's a Chinese wine vessels called chüeh, pls do check the internet about it... Really want to sell it..
Its interesting like how 'Thrifter junker vintage hunter' is currently closing her antique shop to just sell online because she didnt want to be stuck at the store all the time.
Having a physical shop is overrated and too expensive...u can be a millionaire just by hosting a online store .... just on the strength of not paying rent for a store , u are creating leverage
Just as a tip, it is coming across as rude when you keep saying..."I already said that", "I already stated that. " and "As I already said". Please don't come at me, I'm just trying to help, you seem really nice.
Loved your video, you are 100% correct on reselling vintage! Great to see you on UA-cam!
I've been checking UA-cam all week to see when you'd post. Love your vintage style!

I prefer Depop for vintage clothes. But I’ve had a lot of luck selling designer/trendier clothes on Poshmark!

You know that, I can't so much as drink a damn glass of water around a midget or a piece of antique furniture.
